When this was announced, I was sure it was going to be a day one purchase for me. So glad I held off until the reviews came in. What a disappointment. I know that games can become much improved after a few updates, but right now the problems with this title seem to be far-reaching and game-breaking on Switch. Might buy it on sale if all these issues are resolved, but it's shocking that a publisher of this size could let such a mess out the door before it was finished.

Every. Single. Time

The standard switch is on the brink of being too big for a handheld. Bigger would not necessarily be better. If they somehow managed to squeeze another inch into the screen by using the bezel, and up the resolution without making the unit too unwieldy, it could be cool. It then raises questions about the size of the joycons on a bigger unit: Would it come with XL joycons? That could be cool.

Guys, this isn't a willy-waving contest about who knows the most, or who has played the most MonHun. You're all MonHunners. Try to get along.

Woah! That's a big number and well deserved. I've been playing since Tri on Wii (500+ hours there. 80+ hours now on Rise.) and can safely say it's the best MonHun I've ever played, by some way. From the monsters, to the armour and weapon designs, to the mobility provided by the Wirebugs, to the weapon balancing, it's just an exquisite piece of software. Change your weapon type and it almost becomes a different game. Well done Capcom. You deserve every success for this.

I would argue that the art style of this game is so good, that this makes barely any difference.

I've only ever seen the European one before, and the US one is FAR better! Link's over-the-shoulder pose just seems so out of place in the euro one.

My Switches spend 70% of their time in a dock, as I have two docks in the house. Can't remember the last time the battery ran out fully.

Looks awesome. Will absolutely scratch the screen, but easy to remedy that with a couple of sponge bumpers I'd say. I'd love to see a European SNES done the same way. It's a far more aesthetically pleasing console, in my opinion.

I think I played this for about 20 minutes. Couldn't get along with the controls at all. Felt like the kart was driving itself.

@ozwally There are options for both, but I'd keep the motion blur if I were you. Makes the action a bit more visceral I think. Turning off just the "blur" setting makes everything much more high def. Dunno why they set it on at default. Maybe to hide some texture pop in or dynamic resolution, but it definitely looks better without blur if you ask me.

@ozwally You can turn off "blur" in the options menu and it improves the graphics massively

I honestly believe Pikmin to be one of Miyamoto's greatest creations. Few games give me as much pleasure as Pikmin does, and Pikmin 3 on WiiU was probably in my top 3 games on the console (I owned over 50 physical and 100 eshop games for it)

If Pikmin 3 DX and then Pikmin 4 are announced I would be over the moon.
