Another busy week in the world of video games has come to an end. In the past seven days we've seen LEGO Luigi leaked and then officially revealed, Super Nintendo World forced to close temporarily due to pandemic-related precautions after opening just a month ago, and Super Mario 64 show up playable in a browser.
Now, though, it's time to discuss our weekend gaming plans. Members of the Nintendo Life team have done just that below, so feel free to give our entries a read and then join in with your own via our comment section. Enjoy!

This weekend I’ll likely spend the most time playing MLB The Show 21; it’s easily the series I play the most away from Nintendo Switch. Assuming the servers are working, they’ve been a tad iffy at times.
On Switch I’m getting into the really good bits of Monster Hunter Rise; I did some grinding for decent gear and am now tackling some of the bigger beasts. It’s also Walt the Kangaroo’s birthday on the island of Llareggyb in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, so I’ll put on my nicest clothes and toddle along to his party. I still play every day, mainly because I can’t bear the thought of any of them getting a cold and not having medicine.

I've put Friends of Mineral Town on pause for now, although I did just achieve the (dubious) honour of dating everyone in town, because I'm having a hard time picking a spouse. Replacing FOMT (for now) is Deiland: Pocket Planet Edition, another "it's like Harvest Moon but [twist]" game, where the twist is that your entire world is... an entire world. A teeny tiny planet, that is. Sadly, there's no one to date, and you're alone most of the time. Ah well.
I've been playing a lot of Fez — which I started up a Discord for, and only invited friends who've never played the game before. The intention was to swap tips and hints, but it turns out that all of us have no idea what's going on.
Following on from last week, I'm still playing an upcoming review game, which is all about the adventures of Badguy Murderman. I'm really looking forward to reviewing it, because I both love it and find it INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING.

I have a bad history of buying Monster Hunter games and neglecting them and I've done it again with Rise. Not this time (maybe)! I fully plan to set some time aside and try to understand what makes these games so fun. I hear such good things but for whatever reason I always stop playing after the opening hours.
Maybe in the next "What Are You Playing This Weekend" piece I'll be a changed man - that or I'll be playing Resident Evil 4 again. Probably the latter

Hello. This weekend I’m gonna be chilling out with The Darkside Detective and its recent sequel, A Fumble in the Dark, both of which are currently on offer on the Switch eShop. I’ve only just started out with the first game and so far it’s been a great time with some properly hilarious writing and a condensed approach to the point and click puzzler style of gameplay that makes the whole thing feel satisfyingly breezy.
Elsewhere, I’ve also picked up the Hotline Miami Collection, mainly because I absolutely adore the first one’s soundtrack, am continuing to slowly make my way through the rankings in the quite excellent Monster Hunter Rise and have fully committed myself to a playthrough of Resident Evil 4 in glorious handheld before Village arrives early next month. Have a good weekend whatever you’re up to or playing and stay safe out there!

Hello folks! Hope everyone's doing well. I've not got a lot going on this weekend, but I'll be diving back into Resident Evil and Resident Evil 0 for the billionth time (my hype for Village is slowly building now - finally!). I love the old fixed camera style RE games, and since we can't get the original RE2 on the Switch, these two games are frankly the epitome of the genre (yes, even 0)!
Other than that, I'm on a bit of a point-and-click binge at the moment, so I'm currently playing Full Throttle, and may move on to Thimbleweed Park (can we get a proper sequel to this, already?) if I get chance.

Double dose of SD Gundam arrivals from the East. I already owned both games but this is the first time I have SD Gundam G Generation Genesis with English text support along with all the DLC options of SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays. This is my life now, moving big headed mechs against other big headed mechs and watch the fireworks go off. Living the dream, baby! Also back to TRON: Evolution Battle Grids on the Wii for that sweet bio-digital jazz.
Game of the week is Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion. He was just a regular turnip until the government came to collect. On that day, Turnip Boy became the greatest Link to the Past homage of recent memory.

What am I playing this weekend? Probably some Shantae now that the entire collection is available on the Nintendo Switch. While I've become a big fan of WayForward's half-genie hero over the years, I've never really given her original outing much attention, so this weekend I'm planning on spending some quality time with the eShop port.
Although I'm already a fair way into the Game Boy Color version, I'm starting to think I should have gone with the enhanced GBA release - so maybe I'll swap to that in time? Either way, I'll be playing one at least one version. The other game I'll be returning to this weekend is Monster Hunter Rise. The more time I spend with it, the harder it is to put down. There's just so much to hunt! Enjoy your weekend, everyone.

A free weekend? Can it really be?! My partner and I recently moved into a new place, so we’ve been spending the majority of our free time rearranging, emptying boxes and setting things up. Thankfully though, I think we’re finally at a point where we can relax a bit and play some games! I finished up my playthrough of Pokémon Blue a few weeks ago and while I still have to catch Mewtwo, I’m happy I at least managed to crush the Elite Four with my severely under-leveled team. *cough* level 45 Ivysaur *cough*
Limited Run Games recently announced a physical edition of the Paper Mario-inspired Bug Fables on Switch, and it reminded me that I’ve only made it about halfway through! So I picked it back up the other night and in typical RPG fashion I had no idea where I was, but after a few minutes I was right back in the swing of things! Beat up a boss, collected a relic and am headed down the path of glory with Team Snakemouth! Vi the bee is just the best, isn’t she?
As always, thanks for reading! Make sure to leave us a comment below with your gaming choices over the next few days...

Monster Hunter Rise
Overwatch obviously
Still working my way through Root Double. On the final route but it seems like there's still a fair bit left to play out.
Aside from that, just playing a little bit of Monster Hunter Rise on the side when I need a break from reading and feel like something a bit easy and effortless.
Switch - Shantae marathon now that the entire series is on one console!
PS4 - Weekly GTA Online session with friends!
PC - Might start up Team Fortress 2! Haven't done so in quite a while lol.
Have a good weekend, everyone.
Not much free time due to be working this weekend, but the few time i can get will be to start Atelier Ryza 2
I'll mostly be playing Borderlands 2. I bought it just over a week ago and I've already logged a silly amount of hours. It's superb! I can't believe this is the first of me playing it. When I'm not playing that, I'll likely be trying to improve my score at G-Darius, Darius Gaiden and ESP. ra.de psi.
After a month hardcore gaming to complete Xenoblade 2 and Torna Country I’m taking a bit of a break from intensive games.
So I will be chilling out with ‘Good Job’ and ‘Golf Story’ for the weekend. Nothing too absorbing for me.
Still playing my Evercade and with the recent announcement of the VS I am even more excited.
Pre ordered and ready to go.
Also playing God of War and Wreckfest on .my PS4.
@OorWullie which character (in borderlands) you starting with?
Resident Evil 7 in prep for Village, Switch wise its more MH Rise.
Monster hunter rise until further notice.
Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is a game that I hope to get some good time into this week. Been playing it for quite a while now and I just need to push myself to finish it. Don't misunderstand me, I'm not pushing to finish it because its a slog or anything, but because I repeated a mistake I make often with big games. That I don't want them to end and then starts stalling.
Today I should finish Lost Words, a relatively easy puzzle platformer with a good story. Olli Olli was on sale, it is fun with a sweet soundtrack.
Rocket League, Travel Mosaics, and a birthday party on my island.
Happy gaming everyone!
Back to the Switch with the main games being Bravely Default II and MH Rise. No XB1 this time as I'll save Master Chief Collection stuff for when the challenges reset on Wednesday meanwhile most newer games I have like Outriders I'm better off waiting until I get a Series X given original XB1 performance is very rough.
Poll.
Poll Pot.
Poll-land.
Poll-yanna.
Poll-itiburo.
Deleted my Zelda botw file and started all over again. My girlfriend and I have been playing it everyday now, such a great game! I also got darkside detective and transistor on sale for 8 bucks this week, but I can't put botw away....
What a great mix of games you are all playing, nice to read.
Dark souls 3 on ps5
Monster Hunter Rise again....... I think I've become an addict
Judgment (ps4/5) - playing the ps4 version on ps5. Bought it like a week before the ps5 version got announced and didn’t want to rebuy it for 60fps. There not being a free upgrade is BS IMO. Great game tho, loving it so far.
Spec ops: the line (ps3) - wanted to play this masterpiece for years, it should arrive today. Will play it right after judgment.
Resistance: fall of man (ps3) - gave this game a try 5 years back, didn’t like it and I sucked at shooters back then. Gonna give it another go.
Pokemon shield (NS) - I want that damned shiny dhelmise.
Nier Replicant 1.abunchofnumbers.
Mostly Switch this weekend, particularly a tour of this week's splurge - One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 may have to wait (I'm running out of games to willingly or even begrudgingly shelf for another 13+ Gb at the moment😅), but I did lock'n'load Spiritfarer, Moonlighter, Lego Worlds, Hotline Miami, Ghost Parade, Drawn to Life, Battle Chef Brigade... and, of course, the first Shantae which I've already started from scratch.
Despite all these appetites, I'm shameless enough to dare plan some more Xenoblade, Truck Driver, NFS, Immortals and Portia as well. No Namco x Capcom for this weekend, but more farming in God Eater (I'm on rank 5 missions and not even done with all the rank 4 crafts yet) and probably a map or two in Fire Emblem Echoes aren't entirely off the table either. Do not send help, I'm beyond any.😂
I've gotten back into the Kingdom Hearts series recently; I resumed my old save and beat KH1 back in January, and I finally went back and finished KH2 last night (after a 4 year hiatus according to my save file!). I'm looking forward to continuing the KH train by starting Birth by Sleep this weekend Other than that, I'll be continuing my playthrough of Final Fantasy X, with some Littlewood and Picross thrown in for good measure
I played these games this weekend. 😀
1. Yokai Watch 1 3DS
2. Yokai Watch 3 Tempura 3DS
3. Dance Dance Revolution Extra Mix PS1
I played a lot of Yokai Watch games since morning.
I have reached Rank S for Yokai Watch 1 3DS, have unlocked Infinite Inferno and still working on leveling up my main team.
I have reached chapter 4 for Yokai Watch 3 Tempura 3DS. I got 3 Rare Yokai from Treasure Coins by playing Crank a Kai (Hinotori, Apelican and Cleopatra).
I think i got better Yokai collection from Hailey side than Nate side.
I played Dance Dance Revolution Extra Mix PS1 for 20 songs to unlock the Final song Afronova Primeval and Endless Mode. My job was done to unlock every unlockables from DDR Extra Mix.
First shop purchased games since lockdown eased. Hades - after an indifferent start the addiction kicks in pretty quickly. Remnant From The Ashes - an underrated and unknown Dark Souls style game with great visuals and atmosphere. Rock hard but your character upgrades fast.
This week I will be mostly playing
New Horizons (KK’s first visit today!)
Age of Calamity
Pokémon White
Drill Dozer
This weekend I’ll be playing mafia definitive edition on ps5
SpongeBob battle for bikini bottom and some botw on Switch
Also will probably play some Mario kart online
Usual ACNH and Splatoon 2. Completed the Alolan pokedex again. I was going to get max level on the Poke finder but don't think I have the patience for it. So with my Pokemon Sun replay done I don't know what to play on my 3ds. Maybe Legend of Legacy. I need a Pokemon break.
Have a good weekend everyone.
@My_ultimate_is_ready I went with Psycho. I never really put much thought into it to be honest, I just liked the psycho look haha. What class do you think is the most fun to play with?
i'm about to give Civilization VI a whirl on the PS4 just to see how different it is.
Continuing my first winter in Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town, and hoping to get back to Hades today.
Getting some Ring Fit Adventure in as well.
The same thing I play every weekend, Pinky.
ToeJam and Earl Back in the Groove!
Level 300 now. Only 701 to go!
Diving into Smelter. It's a lot of fun. When I put that down, I'm bouncing between Monster Hunter Rise and Ryza 2.
Yooka Laylee and the Impossible Lair for me. Picked it up in a recent sale and really enjoying it so far. It’s early days but I think I prefer it to DKTF as it feels a bit lighter to control.
I need to finish Resident Evil 6! After that I will play Resident Evil Deadly Silence.
Then continue to other Resident Evil games I did not play
I want to finish them ALL!!!
Horizon Chase Turbo for me. I started this game around a year ago and have been picking at it slowly here and there, but I had been finding races incredibly stressful to beat. Since there's so much content in World Tour, I kinda gave up on it. But after picking it back up recently, I started upgrading my car's top speed more, and now I'm having a much easier time keeping up in races. I'm almost at the 11th out of 12 countries, and my attitude towards the game has gotten a lot more positive...besides some moments where the aggressive A.I still makes me rage. Haha.
Jon Cartwright is a man of taste.
I have been having a blast playing Descenders through the game trial so more of that.
I'm playing working! All weekend! And maybe some mantis burn racing on breaks if I'm lucky!😀
I know it's almost like a right of passage, but I had never actually beaten the original Super Mario Bros. on NES. I finally righted that long-overdue travesty this week. With that out of the way, I'm itching to get lost in a good story, so maybe I'll fire up my PS4 and tackle Last of Us 2, which I started but never finished. On the Switch, I picked up Stitchy in Tooki Trouble; I think it's a bit easy, but I also think the review was a little harsh. If you like Donkey Kong Country, it really is an enjoyable little romp so far.
Same as last weekend, had some health issues (not serious) that have led to me not being able to play/enjoy games as much the last week or so but now I'm pretty much back to my old self, yay!
So, DQ11 S (honestly Sylv never fails to put a smile on my face)
Muse Dash
and some more daily Cozy grove (I wish it would run better and you had more inventory spaces because I really like it)
Gavin Lane/Nintendolife staff can we start a 'what have you bought this week/month?' article as well do you think?
Cause I'm sure I am not the only one who buys a lot but they stay in backlogs for years after that, but it's still fun to discuss what we have picked up. It doesn't have to be who has the most
£££'s competition either since so many games are on sale a lot of time, would just be fun to know and maybe give us a chance to pick up things we wouldn't normally have considered/known about to broaden our (new)horizons' see what I did there? a bit, just a thought.
Happy gaming everypony :3
Currently Playing
Doubutsu no Mori + and e+ (NGC): Completing these
Paper Mario: The Thousands-Year Door (NGC): i'm already at Chapter 8,
Portal Reloaded (PC): haven't tried it yet. it's a standalone portal fan game that requires portal 2. it just released on steam a few days ago.
I'm still pissed you close the theme park comment section 😤
I grabbed monster hunter rise yesterday so I played just two training missions yesterday and it feels like it'll take some getting used to but I'm sure I'll get there. I'll also be playing alot more of Ori and the will of the wisps. Lastly some wwe battlegrounds and Kirby star allies with my little guy.
Hoping to beat Trials of Mana and start a 2nd play through.
Since being back at work and back on the golf course I’ve struggled to get much Switch time in.
The time I have got it in is still shared by Mario Bros 3 (up to world 6), Donkey Kong Country 2 (up to Angry Aztec) and Impossible Lair (up to 40/48 bees).
Nearing the end of each of them and still bloody loving them.
Also, couldn’t resist myself in the sale and bought Golf Story for £6. Dipped my toes into it as it seems rather fun.
I am trying to finish this brilliant little 3D platformer called Candleman!! I am rather enjoying the mechanics and general feel of being a small light in a dark dark world.
Afterwards I want to give Ori and the Will of the Wisps a go. Blind Forest was a difficult game for me, and I feel like I didn't enjoy it for the first 70% until the mechanics "clicked" I am hoping to enjoy this one all the way through.
Also my Scott Pilgrim vs the World arrived last night, I may be playing co-op with my chums!
Took a break from MH Rise to start a backlog game, Ni No Kuni.......and WOW!
I eat gold rank Rocket League players for breakfast.... And get destroyed by grand champ rank fellows in the casual 3v3. ;p Currently platinum II rank, possibly on the cusp of plat III. Still having fun playing Rocket League. In spite of what I said about eating golds, I'm actually not toxic<3
I've played some of Plant vs Zombie Battle For Neighborville single player. In some respects, it seems like they aimed for a Splatoon-like formula. The Town Center level is pretty cool. I think Splatoon could take some ideas from this game, but I don't want to jinx it.
How's your Rocket League these days, @dugan? Playing any better since fall? Or just playing more casually? Either way is good. (If you hadn't seen, I posted a couple clips in the Rocket League thread a couple weeks ago for the heck of it. They're oviously best case scenarios, that worked out. I've been tempted to post a clip of the best own goal I've recieved (I was digging through my saved 30 sec video clips. The other team hit the ball, like, 4 times after I hit it, giving me a goal. XD Kinda funny.)
@OorWullie zero it was for me, but a lot of people enjoyed maya and gaige. But overall Athena from the pre sequel was my favourite from all.
Monster Hunter Rise, playing trough the Hub Area and the Village(4 star in the Village and going trough 3 stars in the Hub Area).
Managed to cross two games off my backlog this week: raced to the end of the world tour in Horizon Turbo Chase & completed the extremely short Sonic Forces campaign! Peer pressure finally swept over me as I purchased my first ever Monster Hunter game. Rise is everything you guys have been preaching & I’ve already ascended to the 4 Star Quests. Hope to complete a few more hunts this weekend after work
Kneedeep back into Skyrim. I'm so hooked right now I'm confident to complete the main story for the first time in the ten years I'm playing this game over different console generations.
Maybe I can get to my backlog that includes Octopath Traveler, Ace Attorney Trilogy, Borderlands I, Monster Hunter XX and Assassins Creed Black Flag.
@GregamanX A man of taste. Great game.
Pure Pool and 3D World again for me...abstained from playing anything for a few weeks, it was nice to get out and about and stretch the legs more freely since lockdown.
Finished up Doom 3 and Lost Mission last weekend. I'm gonna try to finish off Resurrection of Evil this weekend. Also gonna try to finish the challenges in Ghost Recon Future Soldier. I'll probably also be playing Animal Crossing and Doom Eternal.
Tomb Raider HD remastered on PS3, Animal Crossing and Hyrule Warriors AoC. Inbetween football, rugby and staffie walking
Monster Hunter Rise
Back into Don't Starve. Originally played it on my Vita. Started again on the Switch for the extra content. I am either casually swapping between games or utterly committed to one game. Don't starve is definitely option two.
Slay the Spire and John Wick
For me I've been playing:
Pokémon Shield
Animal Crossing NH
The Sims 4 (PC)
MH Rise til MH stories 2 come out
Bravely Default 2. Just beat the... second boss? I got the Bard class unlocked.
@WoomyNNYes That is great about how well you play! Good job, friend! Rocket League is a great game. I am still playing almost every day, but with time spent on other games, I don't have the time or ability to fine tune my skills.
That said: it is so cool when I happen to be in a match with an excellent player. I can see the artistry in their abilities and it is so cool to sit back and watch (even if I am getting crushed)
And I like the comment where you "scored" a goal after the opposing team hit it four times. I also like RL because every several matches I will see something crazy like that.
Happy gaming!
A couple weeks ago in ACNH I feverishly collected all but one cherry leaf blossom recipe (missed the petal pile), so now that the sakura are blooming here IRL, I may just finally craft a few of those recipes and make a chill o-hanani room in my house.
Have a fun weekend, NL friends!
My main focus on Switch right now is Monster Hunter Rise. I'm having a great time, though I'm still learning the ropes a little lol. I'll definitely reach Rank 3 in single player this weekend. I also picked up Inmost in the current sale and am just over halfway through that. Definitely a beautiful, intriguing game, though the plot is odd and all over the place.
On the 3DS, my goal is to (finally) dive into Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. I've been wanting some SRPG action and realized it's been about a year since I finished Birthright. XD I've read it's an odd duck, based on the original Fire Emblem Gaiden, but that only intrigues me more.
Have a great weekend! Stay safe, and happy gaming!
The Walking Dead: Season Two (Vita) - Starting up again, due to boredom That is the excuse I'm using.
Battleship (Windows Phone) - Still a blast to play.
Gerbil Physics (Windows Phone) - Getting more on a roll with this.
Playing Ghost of Tsushima on PS5 and Murder by Numbers on Switch. I don’t mind the format of the game, but I find the woke agenda annoying and out of place for something set in the 90s.
Probably some Rise and Splatoon 2 if I get to play anything at all (too much work to catch up on...I guess that’s why they pay me the big bucks). As for Resident Evil 4 some of the staffers mentioned...just do what I’m doing and wait for the Oculus version to release. Now THAT is gonna be an awesome experience.
@Aozz101x Thank you for bringing up Portal Reloaded! Didn't know that existed! Downloading now! 😀
Started up Shantae Half Genie Hero this morning and it is a great game, very much scratches that Metroidvania itch. There isn't really a whole lot on the pipeline that I want to play until the Tony Hawk collection comes to switch, that or Mario Golf.
I just watched the Wulff Den play Super Mario 64 Plus on PC. I know what I'm playing this weekend.
Hmm. I think I'll be playing some Pokemon: Let's Go Pikachu and Fire Emblem: Three Houses. I might also play some Smash Ultimate with my brother tonight, since we're buying the DLC in a few weeks.
Switch - Monster Hunter: Rise
PS5 - Yakuza: Like a Dragon
PC - Dungeons and Dragons Online (Hardcore League, a permadeath event server temporarily available where achieving milestones before your first death can unlock cosmetics)
3DS - Smash Bros 4
Switch - Towerfall: Ascension
Well, my 100% completion playthrough for ys 8 is almost over. I'm currently at the final boss but I want to get S ranks in all the hunts/raids so I can max out adols reputation. Hopefully I can finish it this weekend! After finishing this I think the next game I'll complete to 100% might be Dragon Quest 11.
I'm also slowly making my way through FF12. I'm not sure how far I am but I just made it to old archades!
Monster Hunter Rise, Apex Legends, and maybe some Immortals Fenix Rising and Cross Code.
MLB The Show 21 (Series X). It feels good to have a proper baseball game on Xbox.
Call of Duty Cold War (Series X) Season 3 started time to check out the new maps and build up that battle pass.
Super Mega Baseball 3 and to get into the NFL spirit I’ll play some Mutant League Football
Stardew Valley and modded Terraria for me. I am still engrossed in Stardew's world and gameplay, it's absolutely phenomenal!
Monster hunter rise. Finishing up all high rank 4* before I go on to 5*. Picked up thumper (and Rez, ratchet and clank, gungeon, Abzu, subnautica, the witness) for free on ps4. Thumper is actually insanely good! Should have listened to all the praise it got around here. Maybe I’m enjoying it so much since it was free
Playing the new Moto GP 21 and really enjoying it. I'll try and fit in some Doom Eternal which I picked up cheap and some Warface which I must say is really gripping me at the moment.
After finishing Torna last week, I'm finally done with Xenoblade Chronicles 2! Now I'll be moving on to some other games in my backlog, including Immortals Fenyx Rising and Dragon Quest XI, depending on the mood I'm in.
Working 12 hour this weekend and Monday. Trying to advance the story in Life is Strange 2 but I'm just too tired. Off to bed...
Definitely playing NieR Replicant since it dropped yesterday. Will I be able to finish a playthrough before Returnal and New Pokemon Snap release next Friday? Probably not, but stay tuned! Lol.
Hope you all have a rich weekend gaming and enjoying your time!
@realityxaidan Honestly, I feel like Immortals Fenyx Rising is the best Ubisoft game in years. Incredibly well done, light-hearted and a great experience. I also love Xenoblade, great job on finishing that game, but man... Torna gatekeeping you in the main story by having to finish a ton of mindless community side quests? I get the concept, but I was really frustrated at how they did that.
@Fujimoto-San Really good choices, my friend! I think I enjoyed the Lets Go games a little more than Sword/Shield, and I think they looked beautiful too. Really good games. I hope you enjoy Fire Emblem too!
@Tyranexx My friend, you picked my favorite Fire Emblem game! Echoes is amazing, I feel it is the most streamlined and focused story. I love the series, but something about that one stuck out to me a lot. Can't wait to hear more of your thoughts, and have a happy weekend gaming!
@ItsATM Yes, I definitely agree about Immortals Fenyx Rising! I find myself getting lost in the world because there's so much to do. It's a really fun experience, and I hope it's an IP they make into a series, because there's so much different mythology they could pull from. Torna did get a little annoying with having to do so many side quests, but on the bright side, I didn't really have to grind at all since I gained so many levels from doing all of them. I usually just watched tv in the background while I was doing side quests to pass the time lol!
Picross is about the only thing I can muster the energy to play rn
I honestly am not sure what I will be playing this weekend! I just completed Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury and I don't have much to look forward to until New Pokemon Snap arrives. I might be replaying an older game I have already experienced with my girlfriend if possible.
Still pecking away at Kaze. Not really enjoying it but oh well. I’ll beat it. It’s fine.
Also, I picked up Macbat 64 after really liking Toree. I’m a few levels in, it’s pretty fun. I’ll probably knock out the rest of that.
Picked up Thumper on a sale. But most of my gaming time will still be filled by Hades. I started a new BOTW game and it has refreshed my feel for it. Its great to be killing bokoblins with a tree branch again.
@ItsATM I've read that Shadows of Valentia trims out some of the fat and extras that were present in other recent entries, which is fine by me! I haven't started the game yet, but I hope to dive in tomorrow morning! I've had a pretty busy day and think I'd rather bash monsters mindlessly this evening. Plus, it's best for me to start story-heavy games when my mind is refreshed from a sleep cycle. XD
Thanks for the feedback! You have a great weekend too!
I've mostly been enjoying Rocket League on my new 3060 laptop. I think I like high frame rates more than anything : ) The higher the better! I've also been playing more of Pikmin 3 deluxe and love it. I've also been playing more of Bowser's Fury (docked only! wow, handheld really isn't fun with it's 30fps graphics) as well as regular old Mario 3D World. Such a great cartridge. Oh, and I've been playing all the free downloadable games for Smilebasic on Switch. There's some really cool and creative little games available, along with some really fun shoot em ups.
Played some dark souls PS4 yesterday , backtracking boring tho so mite give up.xx
Xenoblade chronicles on 3DS. I first played it years AND years ago on Wii and it was so impressive to see such an enormous map size and quality on a Wii game. . So when I decided to replay it I wanted to be impressed all over again, I could've gotten it for Switch and enjoyed HD visuals...but there are lots of beautiful switch games with huge maps. So I opted for 3ds version, and ONCE again I'm incredibly impressed by such a huuuuge game running on such underpowered hardware. It's slightly lower res than original version but the ENTIRE world of bionis and mechonis are intact and it's such a massive joy to play such a technical marvel on 3ds.
@Bizaster 🙂. I'm also playing Xenoblade ...but on 3ds. I played it originally on Wii years and years ago and was so impressed to see such a huge great game on Wii hardware, so when came time that I wanted to play it again I wanted to be impressed with it running on underpowered software again. So I chose the 3ds version and just like before I was blown away how they got the every inch of the world to run perfectly with NO LOAD times on 3ds
@ManaOwls After sinking nearly 1000 hours into MonHun over the years, Rise is the best in the series, I think.
@Dragonslacker1
I tried to like Dark Souls. I really tried. It's just not much fun, and I love challenging games.
I'll be playing some Monster Hunter rise, Doom eternal and Fortnite for the most part.
Getting back into Taiko no Tatsujin, cleared 91 of my 94 songs on Normal, 11 on hard, and 1 on extreme. If I can clear all 94, I might buy the last pack of Touhou songs I’m missing. (I think there’s one more...)
Still the occasional 3D World and Lucky’s Tale, plus some retro stuff.
@The_Mysteron Yeah, I think I agree. It's really beautiful.
I will be playing Wolcen.
Still pouring hours into MHRise
Has Alex stopped working at Nintendolife?
@ItsATM Thanks bud! I wouldn't know about Sword/Shield but I am enjoying Let's Go Pikachu. I'm in Lavender City, and I really can't wait to get a Thunder Stone to get my Raichu, and eventually my Alolan Raichu too.
As for Fire Emblem, I am! I've just started it a few weeks ago and I'm loving every moment of it. I hope you had a great time with NieR Replicant. Cheers!
i am happy that MLB the show is finally on xbox, so i will be playing a lot of that along with more pacman 99 on the switch, i splurged and got all the tables for it even though it is strange to play other characters, it is still fun.
