Re: Nintendo Switch Is Getting A The Witcher 3-Themed Controller

The_Mysteron

I bought the PowerA gamecube controller. Its gotten a lot of bad press because the triggers are not analog, but I have to say, the feel of the buttons and especially the resistance and sturdiness of the sticks is fantastic. It's a very good and reasonably priced alternative to the pro controller. I'm confident that this Witcher Controller will be excellent.

Re: Rocket League's 12th Season Is Now Officially Underway

@Woomy_NNYes Sorry, I thought you meant the other team were sarcastically saying "What A Save!" not your own team mates. That would be really annoying. I find that stuff very self defeating. I've been 4 goals down and managed to claw back a win with just a bit of encouragement between our team in the chat. When Rocket League is evenly matched it can be one of the best games ever. Unfortunately all online games communities can be ruined by toxic behaviour. I always report people who abuse the chat.

I agree with everything you just said. To have games like this running as well as this on a portable is actually mind boggling. Anyone who says the Switch is underpowered is forgetting that if it was capable of running PS4 Pro graphics, it would cost close to 1000 bucks and nobody would buy it, meaning no developers would release games for it. Nintendo absolutely have the right idea. It's user experience over cutting edge tech every time and it's a winning formula. Can you play your PS4 on the toilet? In bed? On the train? Nope.

@patbacknitro18 "I was thinking old yeller but I forgot what it was rated. I wanted to say Gremmlins too, but I think that was rated PG-13, despite it obviously being targeted more torwards children."

Gremlins was rated 15 here in Ireland, and with good reason. It's pretty gruesome and scary at times. There's a gremlin killed in a microwave in pretty graphic fashion and another stabbed repeatedly with a kitchen knife if my memory serves. I'm not sure that wrapping kids in cotton wool does them any great service (I was raised on Bad Taste, The Lost Boys, Terminator and Aliens and I turned out okay) but there are things I advise that you should only see in your teens or older. Seeing excessive violence in infancy can really scar kids. I've seen it with relatives of mine who were allowed to play COD when they were 6. That kid is 14 now and he's a mess. I'm not saying his parents were 1st class in other aspects but being exposed to adult themes that young can't have helped.

@shining_nexus "I did like Bayonetta 2. Cool, if the price is right, I'll dig in, since it doesn't seem like a very long game. Otherwise, I'll wait for a sale while I catch up on my back log"

Gameplay wise it's very similar to Bayonetta. Elegant sword and gunplay emphasising crowd control, juggling and big bombastic boss fights. It's fun, if a little dated now. Dante is a pretty likeable character too.

I can still clearly see the track being drawn in front of the player. If this is what they're passing off as an improvement patch, the developer clearly doesn't give a damn. Shockingly poor. Compare this to Fast RMX - a more visually attractive and obviously better performing game. Switch gamers deserve (and should expect) better than this.
