@FragRed "As awesome as that would be, the recent problems the high streets in the UK are facing and with us not being a big market for Nintendo, I don't see that happening."
Six hour queues and stock selling out would tell you otherwise
I bought the PowerA gamecube controller. Its gotten a lot of bad press because the triggers are not analog, but I have to say, the feel of the buttons and especially the resistance and sturdiness of the sticks is fantastic. It's a very good and reasonably priced alternative to the pro controller. I'm confident that this Witcher Controller will be excellent.
@BarefootBowser Thanks for the info. Sorry to be a pain, but could you send me a link to the kit you used? I've heard some horror stories about cheap screws stripping their heads during installation.
@Razer I'd be fairly confident in my ability with electronics. I've taken apart and rebuilt a couple of PCs so I think I could manage the joycon repair, provided there's no soldering involved. It's just something I never learned to do. My wife can do it, so maybe I'll ask her if its needed! 😁
@Woomy_NNYes Sorry, I thought you meant the other team were sarcastically saying "What A Save!" not your own team mates. That would be really annoying. I find that stuff very self defeating. I've been 4 goals down and managed to claw back a win with just a bit of encouragement between our team in the chat. When Rocket League is evenly matched it can be one of the best games ever. Unfortunately all online games communities can be ruined by toxic behaviour. I always report people who abuse the chat.
@Moose_4 You can play it 100% without the toys. I spent 2 hours playing in handheld mode this morning and its very addictive. The Arwing model will stay on my shelf. It's worth the 10 bucks alone.
I picked this up just the other day for 10.99 and I am so impressed. It's great fun. I cant see me buying any more of the toys beyond the Arwing, but I probably will buy some DLC.
@Bunkerneath Necrodancer takes around an hour - plus a few upgrades - to really click but when it does its great fun. I'd recommend you persevere a little longer with it.
I know people complain that all western games look the same, but the same could be said for a lot of Japanese games. This could be at least a half dozen other titles I've seen before.
@Antraxx777 I agree with everything you just said. To have games like this running as well as this on a portable is actually mind boggling. Anyone who says the Switch is underpowered is forgetting that if it was capable of running PS4 Pro graphics, it would cost close to 1000 bucks and nobody would buy it, meaning no developers would release games for it. Nintendo absolutely have the right idea. It's user experience over cutting edge tech every time and it's a winning formula. Can you play your PS4 on the toilet? In bed? On the train? Nope.
Gosh those XBOX numbers are grim. I often wonder who are these Japanese people that are buying Microsoft consoles. I'd love to know what their motivations are. 😂
@patbacknitro18 "I was thinking old yeller but I forgot what it was rated. I wanted to say Gremmlins too, but I think that was rated PG-13, despite it obviously being targeted more torwards children."
Gremlins was rated 15 here in Ireland, and with good reason. It's pretty gruesome and scary at times. There's a gremlin killed in a microwave in pretty graphic fashion and another stabbed repeatedly with a kitchen knife if my memory serves. I'm not sure that wrapping kids in cotton wool does them any great service (I was raised on Bad Taste, The Lost Boys, Terminator and Aliens and I turned out okay) but there are things I advise that you should only see in your teens or older. Seeing excessive violence in infancy can really scar kids. I've seen it with relatives of mine who were allowed to play COD when they were 6. That kid is 14 now and he's a mess. I'm not saying his parents were 1st class in other aspects but being exposed to adult themes that young can't have helped.
@shining_nexus "I did like Bayonetta 2. Cool, if the price is right, I'll dig in, since it doesn't seem like a very long game. Otherwise, I'll wait for a sale while I catch up on my back log"
Gameplay wise it's very similar to Bayonetta. Elegant sword and gunplay emphasising crowd control, juggling and big bombastic boss fights. It's fun, if a little dated now. Dante is a pretty likeable character too.
I can still clearly see the track being drawn in front of the player. If this is what they're passing off as an improvement patch, the developer clearly doesn't give a damn. Shockingly poor. Compare this to Fast RMX - a more visually attractive and obviously better performing game. Switch gamers deserve (and should expect) better than this.
@RainbowGazelle "What a pathetic misuse of Change.org. It really should only be used for things that actually matter."
I know, right. There are some really terrible things happening in the world, yet tens if thousands of people seem to think that a millionaire needing a better chair is a cause worth fighting for.
@Abes3 "I'm put off by cuphead. Everyone says it's really difficult. Why so I want to play a difficult game without a pay off? It's a shame because the art style is beautiful"
It's difficult, but not unfair. The art style is the payoff. It really is a sight to behold.

You're forgetting He-Man Kart: Race For Eternia. Also a Simpsons kart racing game would be crazy not to be titled Bart Kart. 😁

Of all the franchises that I expected to have a kart racing game, Garfield was not one of them

@RadioHedgeFund Would you recommend doing the repair yourself? Is it easy enough? Is there soldering involved?
Re: Switch Lite Teardown Suggests It Has The Same Drift-Prone Analogue Sticks As Standard Model
As a victim of joycon drift (3 of my 4 joycons are suffering badly) this is terrible news. I won't be buying the switch lite as a result.

Re: War Tech Fighters Brings Sci-Fi Mech Action To Switch This June
Bleurg. This looks awful. Anything that's entirely set in space screams low budget/inept developer to me. It's such a lazy setting for a game.
