I bought the original for the Switch but was unsatisfied with the performance. Even in docked mode, the game looks grainy and pixelated which I am not a fan of. However, I am thinking of double dipping for this version on the PC as the performance I imagine will be much better
I would be pretty happy with a new Rhythm Heaven but I'm not expecting anything too big since we are near the end of the Switch era. How about a physical release of Kingdom Hearts 1.5 remix and the other collections? The cloud versions are not it
Anything more than 40 is a crime IMO especially when little to nothing was added to the game other than making the game look nicer. Nintendo is notorious for this and wish they would be more fair about their pricing. Now if its a from-the-ground-up remake, then I can see 50 or 60 being ok as that requires more time and effort. I was more than happy to pay full price for SMRPG because of that
Pro tip: don't ever buy graded stuff from random vendors, especially eBay. If you want something graded just do it yourself. Most of the time its going to be the cheaper option anyways
Oof, why of all places San Francisco? The place is like a lawless zone. People can literally steal up to $900 worth of items and not get punished. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Not a very smart move Nintendo. I already feel bad for the people who are going to be working there..
Its a crime that a physical/regular digital version of the original collections never came to the Switch. Don't even want to think about those cloud versions...
Wow, EA really wants people to pirate their games ay? The second anyone tries ads in a retail game I'm instantly done. If the industry heads that way, I think I would just stop buying games altogether. Greed has taken root in the world and this is a prime example of that
Honestly this seems like a given. It would be a terrible marketing decision to not include backwards compatibility. So many people (including myself) would be very upset. Also, Nintendo is usually pretty good about it. All their handhelds could play at least one previous gen before it. Wii had Gamecube compatibility. Anyways, not worried
Luckily I always wait for indie games that come from PC to Switch before I buy. Its always a hit or miss and this looks to be a miss but I plan to pick up the PC version so no biggie
@darkswabber Nothing will stop those kind of people from playing online games like this. People need to grow a backbone and just not let it bother them/ignore it. Those people do crap like that to get negative responses and attention, don't give it to them
Been on an indie kick recently; playing Thunder Ray as well as Hades. Plan to pick up Slave Zero X sometime soon and I'm hyped for the recently announced Beyond the Ice Palace 2 (which is coming to switch btw )
I'm ok with this. That old trailer didn't look so great from a graphical standpoint so I'm glad they went back to the drawing board. Let it cook I say. The original will always be there
I'm hoping someday we get an offline version of XI just so that people have access to that game without having to play a very old, outdated MMO that still charges a sub fee...I'm fairly confident especially since Dragon Quest X just got an offline version
Ahhh my two favorite consoles of all time in one article, love it. PS2 was without a doubt the king of consoles back then and for good reason: so many good games! Switch has followed suite so of course they are runner up. Consoles live or die on their games library and diversity
It's pretty sad IMO that this has become the norm in the industry. Releasing an unfinished game and calling it version 1.0 only to have the devs go back and fix all of the issues. How about take more time developing the game instead of rushing it? I don't know, just an idea...
Man, this is a tall order. I love so many of the mainline titles, hard to chose over them. So at the bottom of my list would be 8 mainly because I didn't care for the cast of characters, none of them really stood out to me. 11 was amazing for the time but has aged poorly (and is due for a remake/offline version please Sqenix). 14 is good but not great IMO. My top three are 4, 6, and 9; no particular order
@-wc- You may not personally like the remakes but you can't deny that a lot of time, money, and love went into them. Sure, SE is milking the hell out of that game but the quality is still there IMO. The original will always be there so no harm done
Really wish the pixel remasters were included here. I really want FFV PR and its not like its crazy expensive, its only 17.99 but still feels a bit much. Would gladly pay 9.99 for it
2 games remastered with online play, I think $29.99 is a fair price to be honest. That's $14.99 per game basically. If it was $39.99 or up then it would be a little too much IMO
I saw it in theaters and it was great! Not perfect IMO but overall they did an awesome job. I won't be seeing it in theaters again but I am patiently waiting for a sequel. If Geno is even a cameo in the sequel I will lose my marbles
Glad to see UO do so well! I am personally holding off on buying it and my March game will be Dragon's Dogma 2 (sooo excited) but I will pick up UO at some point in the future
The game is obviously targeting casual audiences due to Peach's popularity from the movie. I tried the demo and while it is charming it is kind of also brain dead gameplay. Just button smashing A and B (do X and Y buttons actually do anything??) But that's fine, I'm sure plenty of people will like it, especially younger fans
This man was such an inspiration to me. Dragonball was my gateway drug into anime and manga. His art style then attracted me to Dragon Quest starting with 3 on the Gameboy Color. The man was an industry legend and he will definitely be missed
I just downloaded the demo and will play later today but I feel like this one won't be worth the asking price of $60. Feels like we are paying that Nintendo tax yet again. If replayability is high then maybe but will wait to buy either way
Man, I wish TMNT would go back to its grittier roots from the Mirage Comics era. I just read the original collection and those were so full of creativity and great story telling. They need to stop trying to reinvent the wheel and just go with what made them awesome in the first place. Also, I highly recommend reading the Last Ronin to any TMNT fan, its a fantastic modern story
I've played it and its fun for what it is. I have more fun playing as the villains (especially Broly, he goes hard). The biggest downside was that it was so hard to find a match, now with this update that should take care of that issue
I finished it back when it first came out. So far its my favorite Pokemon Switch title for sure. It still felt half-baked though and feels more like an early access game which is unfortunate because the potential was crazy. I really hope Gamefreak improves every aspect with Z-A otherwise I probably will not pick it up
This was the best announcement in this direct for me personally! So much nostalgia with these games and they are bringing it back with online support to boot!! Can't wait

Looks fun! I never got into Wakfu before but I'm already digging the designs and light-heartedness. I'll give it a shot

Re: Talking Point: One Year On, Has Everyone Beaten Ganondorf In Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom?
The best iteration of Ganondorf IMO. He had more personality and backstory than any other version (except maybe Windwaker)
Re: Sequel To Roguelike Hit Hades Enters Early Access With 'Overwhelmingly Positive' Reviews
Cool but I'm still going to wait for the full release. I'm tired of early access games. Give me the full game or nothing
Re: Nintendo Direct June 2024 Confirmed To Boost An Otherwise Quiet Year For Switch
I'm glad Nintendo has been chilling recently, I'm still trying to catch up on titles to buy lol
Re: Nintendo Switch "Successor" Announcement Is Coming "This Fiscal Year"
Great news that Nintendo officially acknowledged it! And I'm hoping its closer to March 2025, gives me time to save up!
Re: Back To The Future, He-Man And, Er, Hot Fuzz Collide On Switch In 'Funko Fusion'
@-wc- Its normal that its coming from Universal who owns that IP, but as someone who detests slasher films it would be preferable without it
Re: The Pokémon Company And DeNA Form A New Subsidiary
Looks fun and I'll give it a shot but I hope we also get a PC port at some point. PTCGL is not doing it for me

Such a weird thing to sensor. People's priorities are all jacked up here in the west, smh
Re: Nintendo Indie World Showcase April 2024 - Every Announcement, Game Reveal & Trailer
I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of Silksong fans suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.
Re: Gallery: Nintendo Introduces The Cast Of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
If the differences justify the price then I will consider it but again its Nintendo selling us a game that is 20 years old for full price...
Re: Surprise! A New Listing For Hollow Knight: Silksong Has Appeared Online
@larryisaman They do care, its why they came here to complain about it lol
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (13th April)

Re: Talking Point: What Do You Want To See From The Next Super Mario Bros. Movie?
Put Geno and Mallow in it you cowards!
Re: Poll: Do You Want To See 'Super Mario Bros. Wonder 2'?
Honestly I just want Odyssey 2 or equivalent. 3D Mario games have always appealed to me more than the 2D ones

Re: Soapbox: Help! I Can't Stop Playing Card Games On Switch
Love me some card games. I prefer physical over digital but the digital ones still get me
Re: Where To Pre-Order Princess Peach: Showtime! On Switch
I just downloaded the demo and will play later today but I feel like this one won't be worth the asking price of $60. Feels like we are paying that Nintendo tax yet again. If replayability is high then maybe but will wait to buy either way
Re: Video: Meet "The Dismal King, Forced From His Throne" In This New SaGa Emerald Beyond Trailer
That's...an interesting take on the main character. Not my cup of tea, but the other characters look cool, especially Champion and Lifetaker

Re: Pokémon Legends: Z-A Announced, Coming To Switch In 2025
Meh. No actual gameplay so not hyped at all. Will wait and see what they have to show first
Re: Poll: So, Have You Finished Pokémon Legends: Arceus Yet?
I finished it back when it first came out. So far its my favorite Pokemon Switch title for sure. I really hope Gamefreak improves every aspect with Z-A otherwise I probably will not pick it up
