Overall I give this direct a 8/10. Very solid and was sooo happy to see a new main-line Metroid announced. Advance Wars 1+2 was another big one for me. I grew up playing those on GBA and surprised Nintendo is revamping it. Botw2 could have been more meaty but it was a nice teaser for whats to come. A game like that, they have to take their time otherwise it won't live up to the expectations. SMTV looks great and will be picking that up at some point as well. Nintendo still is pumping out the console exclusives while Sony and Xbox are lacking in that department

@bluemage1989 To each their own friend, I think the game looks great and was glad to see a release date. As someone with blue mage as their user name I would think you would be somewhat interested in the project as FF vets are working on it

@CartoonDan No, every character uses guns in the game which IMO doesn't fit 99% of the super hero characters they put in the game. Some would make sense like Deadpool, Deathstroke, or the Punisher but Superman? Batman?? Its just dumb

They lost me with the whole gun concept but whatever, not my cup of tea

I am kind of regretting the fact that I bought a PS5 this early on. There is nothing to play on it atm other than PS4 games...luckily my Switch and PC make up for this lack on Sony's part

The new console wont be revealed here but have a feeling we will get something on that before June 15th...anyways, Im excited to see what Nintendo has to bring this year. My list of Switch-games-to-buy keeps getting bigger and bigger.

This personally doesn't effect me much since I technically have all of the Zelda amiibos. I bought these little cards that have the NFC code on it off of Etsy for like 8 bucks so I have access to all of the amiibo content. I recommend this route if you don't want to shill out the money for the actual amiibos

Gonna save my money for Brilliant Diamond and Arceus Legends but Snap is still very tempting...

The movie isn't without its flaws but it was fun regardless. Much better than the originals and good casting. I will say that I found Cole (the main protag) to be too cookie cutter for my tastes and they should have left him out and just focused on the popular characters. But its still worth watching for those of you who haven't seen it

Hybrid systems are the future IMO. They just make the most sense and can adapt to any lifestyle. Good on Nintendo for jumping on it early

The word remake gets tossed around a lot these days. We need more information if its actually going to be a from-the-ground remake or just a hi-res port. I prefer the former as there are already plenty of ways to play the original on modern devices, so a complete remake would be a day one buy for me

Maybe Banjo-Kazooie and Tooie on the Switch? Possibly xcloud but that would be a hard sell for Nintendo. "Hey, come play our competition's games and use their service..on our device!" I don't think they would ever do that but its still possible. Cloud gaming will be a thing with Nintendo eventually I just dont see them using another company's app for it though

I’m not expecting much any more. I’ve been pretty disappointed with the dlc choices so far, the only one I really cared for was Hero. Of course when you have corporate members picking the dlc instead of the dev team, this is likely to happen.

That question is super subjective. I think for the time, the N64 controller was good. Not great, but good. Sony had them beat in my opinion, the PS1 controler was just so much more comfortable. Going back to it now, it just feels wonky and awkward. Very strange design choice but like I said, it worked at the time.

its more of a "are you a collector or not" kind of question. Im not a collector because I'm a minimalist and hate having too much of one thing, but recently with the switch I have been buying almost exclusively physical copies of games. As for retro games, I have a modest ps2 collection but keep all of the discs in a disc holder. Everything else I have in ROM form. So I guess its more on a game-to-game basis with me. Some games I can live with just the cart or disc (or just completely digital), others I would prefer to have the complete-in-box.

I honestly just want Shiva to be playable already, and no not the retro one, the SoR4 version

Meh, that would be cool but Im not sweating it. They wanted to be faithful to the OG DS games and they have done a good job with that so far. Maybe it would have settled better if they used the same graphical style as the Let's Go games but oh well. Now Pokemon Legends Arceus will probably be your fix if you want a game like that fan trailer

@Zach777 Depends on your personal taste. Having more sword fighters means having less variety. Variety is the spice of life after all. I would prefer to have a spear fighter instead of another sword fighter personally

I was actually shocked by this announcement. Finally they are taking a bit of chance and trying something new and fresh. This is what the series desperately needs. Of course its labeled as a spin-off game because they don't want to chance it on Gen 9 but i think they are trying to test the waters to see if the something like this will sell. Let's speak with our wallets when time is right ( the game is still in production after all). Thank you Gamefreak for trying something different

I’m a huge fan of classic jrpgs and the BD series so this is a day one purchase for me. Of course it doesn’t appeal to everyone but that’s ok, it doesn’t have to. Most kids these days didn’t grow up with those old school rpgs of yesteryear so they probably won’t see the appeal in it when they have have their flashy over the top action games instead

A lot of people on the fence about this series. If you enjoy JRPGs then you should give it a shot and I bet you will enjoy it. We need games like these since FF will never go back to their roots like this series has taken us.

Oh man, can't wait for this baby to get a release date then immediately go out of stock and then everybody gets upset because they can't get one. Unfortunately thats just the way things are for now. Still can't get a freaking PS5 to save my life

Not everything needs to be revealed all at once. Mario's anniversary is still going, Pokemon's is the next focus, then Im sure Zelda will get plenty of the spotlight at some point this year. People just need to learn to be patient, smh.

I played the PTS demo and I really enjoyed it. It definitely feels like a successor to the FF Tactic franchise. I just hope that there will be more jobs and job customization for all of the story characters (as well as random units)

After the first viewing, I was pretty upset. Smash character was very underwhelming in my opinion. Only Mario Golf stood out, didnt care about any of the other reveals. But after the second viewing, some more stood out to me as potential buys. Project Triangle Strategy seems good, I just hope it has an in-depth and robust job system, similar to the one in FF Tactics. Neon White looks like a unique and interesting take on the FPS genre. So overall I give it a 6/10. But Im sure there will be more directs to come that will give us games/characters that will really get us hyped so Im not really worried.

This game is pretty hype for me. It looks very unique and fun. Someone correct me if Im wrong but I think this may be the first card-based FPS game. We've had card-based RPGs, rogue-likes, strategy games but not a FPS. If this game has online multiplayer it will be a day one purchase for me

@Bizzyb I think "developer laziness" is a terrible thing to assume. Most developers are actually very hard working and try to do as much as they can. Its not laziness, its a lack of resources and/or time
