Never understood competitive Pokemon and never will, but thats fine. There are plenty of people who do enjoy it and good on them. I'll just stick to my casual experience with it. If Im feeling competitive I'll play Pokemon TCG

I usually main Lucario but I’m still waiting for some of my favorites to make it in, mainly Rapid Strike Urshifu and Empoleon

Even if you aren't a fan of the roster picks, you still have to appreciate the work and love these dudes (Sakurai and his team) have put into the game. They set the bar extremely high but Im sure we will see Smash again in the future with some much needed upgrades (ex: an actual story mode; no clones/echo fighters; premium costumes for the fighters; somewhat smaller, more balanced roster, and even more surprise guest fighters).

Honestly I feel like Nintendo is trying to see what they can get away with like most entertainment companies. Im not getting this because I have access to the whole n64 and sega libraries already. Not gonna shill out more money just to play it on my switch

any word yet if gens 5-8 will be available in game or at some point? A lot of my favorites are in those gens

Im still deciding if I even want to bother paying more for this. I have all of these games available through ROMs and have a dedicated retro machine (linux PC). It would be nice to have them on the go though...we shall see

Was a cloud version really needed? Maybe for 3 but they could have easily ported the older ones over. Ill skip this and just get the collection on PC. Plus anything after 2 just is bad IMO

Assuming I can even buy one currently (spoiler alert, they aren't available anywhere) then maybe at some point I will upgrade. But honestly I think I will just wait until the Switch successor comes out before I buy another console. I do however want to buy the new dock and the white joy-cons

Black, white background on any electronic screen is just bad on the eyes. I use dark themes whenever possible. Still, Nintendo really needs to hop on the theme bus. Its been a solid 4 years and nothing yet

I tried the demo last night and I am definitely a fan. It feels like a mix of a visual novel and RPG with card mechanics which is great. I just wonder how many characters will be in the final version (party members). Hope there is a big variety of them

Looks fantastic honestly. Needs some polish here and there but overall it looks intriguing. I definitely am a fan of the character designs.

This should be some kind of indicator that hybrid consoles are the way to go, as long as there is a strong library to back it up. It offers something for everyone

I feel like they will mix up the dex for this game, the starters being a clear sign of that. Also Braviary is a Gen 5 pokemon and it got a regional variant. Like everyone else, I want my favorites in here so bad but I won't be mad if they limit the dex

Oh man, can't wait to play at 2 FPS ...joking aside, I really do hope they work out that issue. The first trailer looked ROUGH. The gameplay elements, art, and setting all look fantastic they just need to nail down the graphics and performance. If they can make it like how BotW runs, I will be happy

Sweet, here's hoping we get more SoR content. I would like a fighting game based on the IP as it would be a perfect fit IMO

Hoping for a national dex, I would love to have my favorite newer mons on my team like Rapid Strike Urshifu but this is wishful thinking

@ThatNyteDaez you are the first person I’ve seen that says Gengar is broken lol I’ve never had issues playing against Gengar. And it’s not pay to win. You can upgrade yourself items without spending a dime and also there is no option to buy the item currency to level up items so not sure what you are talking about

@Hinade I think they are getting the popular ones out of the way first then we will see more less popular mons. Although I wouldn’t say crustle is popular but he is already in the game lol

I bought the game for the second time on Steam (originally got the Switch physical version) since I want to support the devs and the game itself. $20 and I got the full game plus the new DLC. So glad I did since the Switch DLC has been a nightmare so far.

Overhyped for sure. Its a good game but I'm not paying $60 dollars for a 10 year old game that has better controls and slightly better graphics. I'll wait to get it on sale

Wow, that Sheikah game looks awesome (concept wise). I wish Nintendo would make this a thing, I would love a spin-off game where I play as a Sheikah monk/ninja

I still think people saying they hate or dont like MOBAs should give this one a shot if its the only barrier stopping you. The MOBA mechanics in this game are very light compared to LoL or DOTA. Its definitely more of a casual experience

Just reserved my Valve Deck. I already have a Switch (OG version) and its still great. My switch never leaves my place so the bigger screen and stand does nothing for me. However, I also have a gaming PC with a big Steam library and being able to have all of those games available in my living room, bed, toilet (lol but true), etc is amazing.

I think it looks great but I wouldn't have a use for it personally. If I really want to play a PC exclusive game it will be..well on my PC. Im not a on-the-go gamer though so there is that. I think more companies should go the hybrid route like this as it makes a lot of sense in today's age but we shall see

At least it isn't a mainline game, just a gatcha machine.

As someone who never takes their switch outside of their home, this version is not for me. The only time I play in handheld mode is when I’m in bed but that’s it. Can’t justify this purchase BUT if you are someone who a) doesn’t have a switch yet or b) plays on the go majority of time (especially with other people) then it’s fine

This is definitely a pass for me. I love the white design for the joy cons and the dock but that's about it, everything else is the same. Don't want to pay another $350 for a bigger screen and better kickstand. Already have a ethernet adapter for my switch so I don't care about the built in one. I'm sure I will be able to get the joy cons and dock separately at some point so that's fine for me

Can't justify the price to content ratio. If it was a 30 dollar game, yes it would be a day one purchase for me. But 60 dollars for 5 courses and an emphasis on a whacky multiple mode? Nah
