Surprised to see Mario Kart so low on a Nintendo news site. Granted I share similar sentiments. Fun game, barren open world, higher than it appears skill ceiling, but straight tracks that make the game feel less mario kart and more arcade ninstop driver.
Its probably the most mixed back Mario Kart game I can remember

I mean if Nintendo paid him originally to produce it and make it for them, then i guess. Just feels icky that they do this so often.

Im excited for the game. I need something to get me over the edge to make the purchase. It looks impressive but I feel there needs some DIRECTion as to the story of the game.

Personally 7/10 for me. More of the same mario kart, with new ways to drive which is nice, looks better and runs great. My biggest issue come from a kinda baren open world. Fun to drive through but aimless drives in solo are kinda lame, after some time. and Missing 200cc kinda stinks. Some of knockout mode you realize how many stages are nearly straight drives.

Knockout mode is pretty cool though.

Ill be more than happy to play through this game with my kid. Completing co-op games has somewhat become our thing, but definitely will wait for a sale, solely for code in the box. Id have considered picking it up launch day otherwise.

Wake-Up is such a slept on feature (pun intended). I personally have my Switch 2 dock mounted on the wall awaiting the time to play. And having the wake-up feature in more controllers just makes a long day a little easier. And that feature over time will become more and more appreciated.

STAY FRESHH- Splatoon knows how to do it.

I imagine it will come, wouldnt be surprised if black ops 7 passes switch 2. But i imagine the next one will come

Id lie if i said no. I always want to experience certain games on the Switch and if on the Switch 2 this is the mainly only way, then so be it.

I knew before the Switch 2 third parties came along and told us everything would be Key Cards, I would need the 1TB micro SD card. But now it seems like an absolute NECESSITY.
Ill grab the Switch 1 version and play on Switch 2. Wish I could have it there. Oh well...

Well it just goes to show that going digital is probably the way the future. I expect very little physical on cart games. Basically only counting Nintendo as the physical games I'll be collecting

Extremely excited to move to this controller. Been using my Smash Bros Pro controller since launch. And just hope this has a little more heft. Otherwise just needed a new pro controller for some time

Not a bad price. Id be lying if i didnt want it as a pack in title. But would increase the cost of the system even more, (US gang here) on top of the tariffs. So alright. Kinda a nothing comment here

@BrazillianCara most of my issue with the Game Key Carts is the third party.
I know this might be the only way for some developers to bring the games to the Switch 2 since they dont want to invest in the more expensive physical carts with all the data. And im still excited to at least get the games on the console at all. BUT
Just as a physical collector is more of the "download code in box" issue. Just makes it disappointing

I'd be lying to say I dont want the Switch 2. As Nintendo has the exclusives I enjoy to play and now going to have power/Ai to play the third party games I was interested in, I makes it a very appealing console. Even with tariffs potentially raising the cost of the console. Even a 1 time purchase of $600 while a LOT. Is still a good trade off when the hopes of keeping that same console for 7 or 8 years.

The game key carts, game prices and storage do make this console harder to fully back. But as someone with NSO+Expansion Pak and being able to upgrade a decent little chunk of titles, right away for Switch 2 makes it hard to say "its a no for me"

Well what will happen now..... we about to see a Nintendo $600 console. Like the PS3 all over again

Getting rid of a console makes sense a few times and for a Switch 2 being backwards compatible it does. But im a collector so if anything ill get rid of an extra switch.

This is great now I can get Jam on my PS4 version. My Switch obviously got it on day one.
