Re: Pro-Evolution Soccer Successor 'eFootball' Is Getting A Switch 2 Exclusive Spin-Off

@nessisonett PES was always more arcade like and Fifa was always more a football-sim. At least that was how my brother used to see it. (And he should know, Fifa is almost the only thing he plays).

And no we're not young.

I still have memories of my big bro getting his PlayStation 2 (before that we played only on PC, and yes Fifa) to play Fifa in his room in the early 2000s. Not long after I bought my first console: a Cube with The Wind Waker. I also got Fifa for it later, so I could be player one for some matches against my brother.

Re: Nintendo Reconfirms Release Windows For Major Upcoming Switch 2 Games

@Otimus I also count Switch 2 Editions. Which means I also counted Animal Crossing New Horizons Switch 2 Edition. So only september without a game. One month in almost a year.
One. And Nintendo usually has one month during the summer months without releases.

Now for PS5 tell me every FIRST party game released last year per month.

A full 3D Zelda in 2026? Sorry but that's not very probable. 3D Zeldas are usually annnounced long in advance. Also with Mario Tennis Fever and Super Mario Wonder Switch 2 editions we have all the Mario we need for at least the first half of the year.

I do hope we'll see a Zelda remake or rerelease of some sort. And a Q4 Mario game... so.. a Nintendo Direct anyone?

Re: Nintendo Responds To Dispatch Switch Censorship With Official Statement

ShadLink

Nintendo does not police content in the eShop, but games are required to follow local laws and guidelines. And then it's either you make one game for everywhere following every guideline, or it's a game per region or multiple regions with similar guidelines.

Nintendo might give advice on what is allowed in a certain region though. So basically every statement is actually correct, but in the end it's the guidelines that determine what isn't allowed.

Re: Random: This Fan Is Ripping Nintendo's Finest Tunes Onto Vinyl, Including The 3DS Menu Theme

@BrewsterTea Like I already said, I spend on the menu about a second. And to be honest. The menu does EVERYTHING I need. It shows me my games, it shows the store to buy new games, it shows settings. And all that quick and seemless. I do NOT want that to change EVER. I WANT A FAST OS ON MY SWITCH. I compared my Switch 2 to my XBOX Series X and PS5 from a cold boot to launching a game. The Switch 2 wins. Every. Single. Time.

I do NOT! want themes on my Switch. Ever.

Even if I use my Switch 2 daily for 8 years and play 4 games every day. I take 2 seconds to switch games. (total 8) That is 23.360 seconds, roughly 6,5 hours. For that the Switch 2 menu looks beatiful enough.

@BrewsterTea A house is not a tool, it's a place where you live. I spend most of my day inside my house. I spend a second inside a menu. So that comparison is just stupid. And yes, for that time I spend in my house I have decorated just how I like. But no I do not see a need to decorate something I look at for only a couple of seconds. At all. My PC background is simple, I always have a browser window, Visual Studio or a game open. Why would I want a nice background?

My phone I use purely as how I have used older phones. To make/receive calls, send messages and when in a hurrry, surf the web. The only customisation I did was put it in a nice protective case.

@OmnitronVariant You can, and I am not saying the Switch 2 or even the Switch couldn't have themes. I am saying it shouldn't have them. Working as a developer I've learned that less is more, always.

Re: Random: This Fan Is Ripping Nintendo's Finest Tunes Onto Vinyl, Including The 3DS Menu Theme

@BrewsterTea A Switch is not a phone or a home. Sorry to break it to you. It's a games console. Created to play games. Prior to the DS, Nintendo handhelds didn't have a menu. Prior to the GameCube Nintendo consoles didn't have one either. And on both you could choose to boot directly into the game.

To be entirely honest, THAT (boot to game) would be a major feature I would want on Switch 2. Just insert a cartridge and boot to it, or boot to the most recently played downloaded game. If I want to go to the menu, I'd press the home button.

And to be even more frank with you. On my Phone I use the default wallpaper same goes for my PC. I couldn't care less.

@BrewsterTea @OmnitronVariant Any memory spent on graphics, music etc. is not spent on a fluid UI. And yes, the new 3DS was faster than the 3DS. But it still took a lot of time to go from a fresh boot into settings and, for example, change the date and time. Where on Switch (2) it's basically.. less than a second. (Wii U's main menu and settings was also very slow, not as slow as on 3DS but tens of seconds slower than the Switch 1, and the Wii U actually wasn't a lot less powerful)

I don't like staring at a menu, I want menu's to be there when I need them and be gone the milisecond I don't.

For a very good example of this.. The Elder Scrolls Skyrim.
Untitled
Menu in this game is extremely boring and simple. But that's absolutely a win for the game. Since you can immerse yourself fully in the awesome open world.

Re: Review: Gulikit TT Pro / TT Max Controllers For Switch 1 & 2 - The New Standard For Third-Party Pads

ShadLink

Youtube reviews of this controller hasn't been all that good. And I tried their previous controller and didn't really like it either. Compared to original controllers or even 8bitdo controllers these are absolutely somewhere between awful and bad.

YT review I mentioned: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IfE98m4yNE

For now I am going to stick to my Switch 2 Pro / JoyCon Controllers.
