Re: Review: Mixtape (Switch 2) - A Brilliant Curation That Thrives On '90s Vibes

@Chimichanga Well yeah, I still have a vivid memory of that games journalist trying (and failing) to do the tutorial of Cuphead. And yes, I know that is an extreme case. But it does tell me something.

We honestly should categorise games like this as "interactive movies". Since there is no real fail state.

@johnedwin The game is also compared to games like the Telltale games, Life is Strange, etc. but those games DO actually have fail states. And choices actually have impact on how the story plays.

It doesn't have to be Super Meat Boy. Nobody is asking for that. But it does need to have some meaning for the player. Which this does not. It's an interactive movie, render the game entirely and put it on Netflix.

Re: Bethesda Reminds Switch 2 Fans Its "Physical Code-In-Box" Editions Of Fallout 4 And Skyrim Are Now Available

@idkmyname Except it's not. A GKC can be traded with other people. A code in the box is nothing else than just an eShop download. Once used it becomes bound to your Nintendo account forever. Also a GKC doesn't take the eShop purchase option away.
A code in the box is nothing but worthless plastic.

@StorminNorman You don't have to. You can buy every single Switch 2 game on the eShop.

Re: Ditch The Dock With Brook's New Switch 2-Compatible HDMI Converter

ShadLink

@rjejr Mini-HDMI is one of the weakest ports you can have. They break really easily. But Nintendo could indeed make a USB-C to HDMI adapter. But that won't cool down the console like the Switch 2 Dock does. And it would not secure the system. I don't think Nintendo would want to have to handle warranty claims because the Switch 2 broke because the exhaust holes were blocked. So Nintendo making something like this.. 0 chance of ever happening.

And on the wireless streaming. Ofocurse it could happen with a specialised dongle. But that would have THE SAME ISSUES, of the system overheating because of a blocked fan intake. On Wii U this wasn't an issue, since the GamePad did not have any processing of it's own. (so no real heat build-up) unlike the Switch and Switch 2.

Re: LEGO Releases Official Build Instructions For Pokémon Kanto Region Badges

They should've just made this a seperate €30 set. It would've sold out just as quickly.

@garfreek Actually it's not behind a paywall, it's behind a buy a "far more expensive set"-wall. I'd be happy if you could actually buy it. Luckily the build instructions has a part list so you CAN buy the parts and build one seperately.

The set can also be bought from scalpers on Bricklink for around €120-300.
