@Adamn The generation pack also includes Reqiuem... That is what skews the Switch 2 sales. If we had actual numbers instead of percentages this would actually be more obvious.

@gabrielthorn Well the Wii U had games as Xenoblade Chronicles X and Breath of the Wild. Both beautiful games, we can say that is a positive. Especially when this game is still more than a year off in development.

@shoeses They could have included all language roms into the app. But I suspect it being single language also being tied to the Home support. Since different languages have different save games.

Injecting these items is just memory manipulation through the emulator. It doesn't impact the save file. It's basically an automatic "cheat code" what runs.

That was very obvious. Looking at the trailer, I can't see that running on a Switch 1.

I am so happy they are waiting until 2027 to release this. These games absolutely need some love and care for them to be awesome. I can wait.

(Strangely Balatro Switch 2 does not support a USB mouse, where Balatro Switch 1 does (sort of, no visible mouse cursor))

@LinktotheFuture X3 is absolutely nothing when going deep into endless though.

I usually set up for Oops, Bloodstone, Photo, Hanging chad and retriggers.

@Stormkyleis indeed there is literally no unwinnable seed in Balatro. Just poor planning / deck fixing on the Player's side. And sure some bosses are unforgiveable for certain builds. But just start a new run and game on!

You can just "Unlock all" on your profile. It's not that tthe Switch has achievements. And honestly happy it's free and mouse mode support is welcome!

@Novature The Switch screen is larger than both DS' screens combined. In size and in resolution. It could easily run DS games, or even 3DS games. And a lot of 3DS games barely used the second screen anyway, and games that did could easily be retooled in a subscreen, an overlay or a menu.

For games that had any real gameplay on the second screen.. this is more difficult indeed. But you can just stack both screens easily within the 720p screen of the Switch 1 or the 1080p screeen of the Switch 2.

@weisske anti consumer? Do you have proof for that claim? Since a company is allowed to sell a product and they are even allowed to decide what price to ask for it. That is not anti consumer. You are not entitled to these games, you ether buy them or you don't.

Nothing. Hundreds of comments, angry video's, all amount to absolutely nothing.

Rember people, Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, any other company really. They only care about one thing: money. So selling you stuff or selling your stuff (for example Google or Meta). They are not your friends. They don't care about you. They only care that you continue to give them money. (which is why some company might change their ways)

If Pokémon games had about 100 to 10.000 sales, then sure. But these games sell millions. So even if 10.000 people are angry, they will still sell millions. You have lost your argument even before you began. The only thing you achieve is that people who generally care about the game (ie. other players) are going to be annoyed by the complaining.

Nintendo Direct late march then. I can't wait for Pokémon Pokopia, most anticipated game of 2026 (for now) for me.

@RoboCube We simply do not know yet. We are supposed to get Home support for Legends Z-A soon. When that happens we will know more about support for FireRed and LeafGreen.

I am starting to see an actual devide between Pokémon/Nintendo Fans and Pokémon/Nintendo "Fans" right now. And honestly it's time to call out all the hate some "Fans" have been outing the last few years at Pokémon and Nintendo.

I feel there is a shift growing. And being a true Fan is not defending a company, no it's about being allowed to have FUN with a game.

I already preloaded LeafGreen. Once Home support is added (if at all) I will also be buying FireRed.

@Metazoxan Honestly a lot of people complain JUST TO COMPLAIN. Even if Pokémon would've handed these for free for everyone with online multiplayer and a free 'thank you'-giftcard in the mail. They would STILL have found reasons to complain.

@a1904 Yeah, people really seem to see a gaming company relaesing a paid game as a personal attack on them. Even though nobody is ever forcing them to play and pay for them. You can even just play the GBA versions, if you still have them, on a GBA.

Very simple, let people who want to enjoy these rereleases enjoy them.

@Jeronan Nintendo owns a 33% stake in Pokémon. And no this "greed" (or as I would call it: normal business sense) is nothing new for Nintendo or the Pokémon company. And yeah, just like Ubisoft and EA (for now) Nintendo is a publicy traded company. So they have only, and I repeat ONLY, one task: make more money than last year. Otherwise shareholders would leave.

I can't wait. I hope they have something good for this anniversary.

@Eel Honestly I see Gen 3 coming within 6 months as well. On 3DS they also released the Gen 1 games first and then Gen 2.

I think they made the seperate releases simply because the NSO app wouldn't be able to work with Pokémon home which I am GUESSING that these WILL do. And the price.. yeah.. That was always going to happen.

Oh no! An upgrade costs €5. I paid twice that for dinner today!
Could this have been free? Yes.
Should this have been free? Maybe.
Am I angry that they had the nerve to ask €5? No.
Did I still buy it for the price of €5? Yes. I even used some unused eShop credit.

The upgrade looks stunning on Switch 2.

In the end, like the Animal Crossing Switch 2 Edition. This is just a minor upgrade, so the price isn't too high.

@brakeman90 I am talking about a certain group of people who absolutely hate everything that's not 60fps or higher. A subset of people who demand 60 fps in a slow paced game (Animal Crossing) and who compare every single game to PlayStation versions of those games (Digital Foundary for example). So yeah, PlayStation fanboys. And that is different from PlayStation fans, it's a subset of that group.

Generally people who take every bit of enjoyment out of gaming.

@Ironcore Incorrect. Everyone is allowed their own opinions. Also visual/30fps mode is the default. They just added the 60fps mode for the Playstation-fanboys.

@atmb82 Honestly a lot of people say "Amiibos" or "Pokémons" and in other languages it's even more common. So quite a normal mistake to make.

Nintendo keeps updating games every week seems like. I wonder they are going to have some sort of big Direct either late this month or early next month.

@michellelynn0976 It's usually not the devs who rush games. It's the publishers having a static release date with a "patch it later" mentality.

8/10 for me. Fun game but could've been more. Absolutely a game I will play for many years to come though.

Skyrim is absolutely a game where I would prefer visuals over performance. It's still a very beautiful game. And I really didn't have any issues playing the Switch 2 version.

But I am happy they fixed bugs and added a performance mode for the people who want that. I don't mind a stable 30fps at all.

@Jokerwolf I just picked the simplest one. Other games I could've picked are: The Elder Scrolls Skyrim (recent anniversary edition), World of Warcraft (still many many expansions and classic edition released), Morrowind, ..

There are enough games that are still being sold today (new) that are over 15 years old. No reason for pirating them. At all.

And sure there are always people going to pirate, or at least try to. And sure some of them would've never bought the game. But that DOES NOT MAKE IT RIGHT. For example; I will never buy a Rolex. So by your definition I would be allowed to steal one that is 15 years old? See how stupid that claim is?

Arceus. Ofcourse. I'd pick the Pokémon god. Also the reason we have the second best Pokémon game: Legends Arceus.
