The survey is not active right now. Probably got inundated so they pulled the plug.
I initially thought the Key Cards were just going to be a glorified way to buy download codes, since the whole point is they're not using the card to store anything. But requiring the card at all times just makes the whole thing mean to consumers, with the burden of needing a physical thing and giving up a full game's data in the memory Ninty put on you to buy.
If they took away the physical requirement and make it equate to buying a digital code, then there'd be no problem. Maybe have it jump to the game if you load it for flourish but don't require it. YES, that screws over the physical buyers, but they were getting screwed already. TBH they've been getting screwed since updates and DLC became part of console gaming.
The Gunvolt trilogy is doing the same thing. It's not really unfair since the new editions have new content built into the experience to say, it's not compatible. It sucks if you already had them, more so if you already played them, but that's how it goes.
Not bad, a few things piqued interest, new features raised questions (but at least half of that is just Nintendo). Plenty of excitement still in the tank for Switch 2.
I'd have to see how this feels over downloading. Especially since my sister and I have our own lites but share a system with the TV.
If only two consoles can set up this swapping thing, than we can't both put our things on and off the shared system. BUT if it's two systems per ACCOUNT, we're fine.
Also how does this play with the cloud saving since only one system can "have" your game at one time?
Curious they're "asking" unless they need buzz to convince high-ups to let them. It certainly looks cool. It's generally assumed Nintendo punches below Sony's weight in tech, so I'll always welcome any crossover proving it can keep up.
3DS was the only time launch pricing really burned them and that was partly driven by the media's excitement getting them thinking the dark commercialism thoughts (cough cough STFU Piscatella)
I have a great love for Satisfye's grips. But I mostly use the controller and switch lite versions. The former I'm gonna hold off and see if I like the new controller dimensions first, the latter hasn't been announced yet.
Sadly you can tell the big "oh look" moment was supposed to be the sideways connection. Was that a new Mario Kart? Feels like they only recently stopped drip feeding Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and I glossed over it.
I loved Zero Mission so much it got me to think I enjoyed the first Metroid more than young me did. I did not. Like many first NES games, you see the potential, but it was a hair too rough around the edges for my tastes.
My family mostly keeps for sentimentality. I might consider selling at least one of them if they go all weird like 3DS where the transfer forced you to lobotomize your old device.
They don't NEED BC to run Metroid Prime 4 on the thing. They've done dual releases before. That was Sony's entire MO until recently, and let's not forget about the black Gameboy cartridges.
I never really needed BC on consoles, BUT have I explicitly enjoyed it on the handhelds, which Switch technically is.
The idea of adding volume to the gameplay is/can be a neat addition to differentiate it from Splatoon. That's going to be important because people who like Splatoon's gameplay have Splatoon.
I think it's because most Nendoroids have a specific cutsy style that carries the proportions well. Trying to adhere to their actual faces breaks something. That trick worked fine for Sonic b/c his Genesis days had that shape to begin with, and Kirby is just a ball. But on Mario and Luigi the result is anything but cute.
Really should've been a standard Nendo dressed up like them
I'm a fan of Wind Waker. The moment you see he's revealed in the beginning and has you flicked away like the bug you are to him, so many badass points. Made Ganondorf something more than not yet Ganon.
This has been a slow decline starting long before covid forced the world to adapt. There are plenty of other shows devs can hobnob in person, the media and fans can get all they need from said shows and fully online "Direct" showcases. E3 is going to stay dead if they don't think of a good reason to justify it's presence besides being another show.
Dude, you're literally talking about using like as a switch screen. On a switch site. I think "how close would you hold a switch to you're face for the same effect?" is a an easy equivalence for your audience to visualize.
Dread's suits really are fantastic. The base suit looks beautiful, but I most profoundly adore they made the upgrades feel distinct. The varia orange alludes the strongest to the classic look, but hits different with the white base, and I cannot stress how much I love the gravity suit finally getting it's glow up. It feels like an upgrade from varia, not just fun with pallets.
@Jireland92 Why is it a requirement to churn out games to "keep it's title"? Rogue came out in 1980, nobody's demanding roguelike gets a refresh. Not even with roguelite gumming up things. People were confused for maybe the first year (if that), and then it's become so ubiquitous to the lexicon you don't even have to know Rogue existed to know what a roguelike/lite is.
Metroidvania exists as a word in it's own right. Also while Castlevania doesn't have new games (though it's still very relevant), there are legitimate means that make sourcing some of it's biggest titles easy for current gamers.
Considering Boyacky, I can see why Miyamoto specifically did not want Yatterman allusions.
However, I don't think Doronjo's sexy villainess would fit as a counter to Peach. Wario and Waluigi are designed as evil exaggerations of the brothers.
I'm partial to team classy. OoT 3DS, MM 3DS, and WW WiiU are are all strong (bonus points for MM using a fully shaded render of the mask instead of simpler icon. Makes it fell ominous). But my fave for class appeal is Hyrule Edition 3DS. It's. Just. Beautiful. I want a mural of that thing.
Team simple has it's nice notes, but Between Worlds 3DS was the most clever to date. The Hylian Shield (was that sculpted or just color?) takes second place.
Considering how many magical girls refer to their transformations as "dress up" or some such, I'm surprised it's so rare for that being part of a single girl's powerset.
In my book, Mario hadn't been fat since SMB3. Ever since he's been "round" in a cartoon way. Any pretense of it in 3D was the growing pains of 3D getting better at looking like things.
I loved every suit design in this one. The blue from the base was eye catching, the white made varia look fresh, the gravity suit got to look like a legit upgrade instead of a pallet swap, and the Metroid suit screamed nightmare fuel before she did anything.
I'm saving up for this and hoping they do all four.
Very interesting. Hope it comes to Switch. I wonder if this was born from the fangame community taking their ideas "legit" or they saw Metroid Dread and really, really wanted it to feel like that. Still they are doing their due diligence to use it uniquely. The combos on the warrior hero is enough to confirm that.
@SmileMan64 I just paid near triple for the japanese Callie and Marie through Nintendo's Amazon page! You can never tell when they're going to be generous or not.
I do miss the best thing in video games from the S1. They were the best time killers. S3's training range is great if the matchmaking doesn't run long. I've had matches in a few as ten seconds. The "play with the soundboard" thing in S2 was an absolute crock and they should be ashamed of themselves
A pity, Beast Breaker was on my radar but never crossed back into my attention. I do hope the failure to find support for their next title isn't BECAUSE they had a union. I would not say this industry's leadership is above a collective "kill it before it spreads" effort.
For Order I'm imagining a very "city of tomorrow" flavor. I can't imagine it being easy to pull off the urban style Splatoon is known for in that setting.
More interesting is the notion Splatsville grew very fast and very recently, so I wonder if there's going to be a story based reason for the migration. But Inkopolis seems fine so it wasn't the "chaos" of some disaster.

Well played Nintendo. People are frothing at the mouth over Switch 2 news, so this is going to get a ton of downloads.

No. Though if they kill it's network without disabling that stupid check-in feature I might consider it.

I'm sure straps will be in box for security's sake, but it's interesting we only saw the straps on the little "mouse boots".

Re: Enchanted Portals Conjures Cuphead-Like 2D Platforming On Switch This September
I don't mind a clone. On some levels this is figuring out what made Cuphead work. But this doesn't feel like they really get it.
Also I will argue people who like Cuphead already have Cuphead, so it needs to hit as good as Cuphead or the prime audience won't care.
Re: Arzette Is A "Spiritual Successor" To The Infamous Zelda CD-i Games And It's Coming To Switch In 2023
