@RobotReptile even on mobile that is easy to solve, Firefox + 2 extensions do the trick.
Fact is, the selection of Nintendo music on YT is nearly endless.
But I rather have all of this on a service like Spotify or Apple Music, but not having to import these OSTs on a CD would also be a nice thing for people like me that still use that for more iconic collections.
Time will tell how this app will grow, I hope much quicker than Switch online on the system itself, this is just MUSIC so they could pump out more collections in no time.
Then again, this is Nintendo we are talking about...
The app is fine, and I pay 20 euro a year for my Switch Online anyhow so if they keep this app being worth it in the future, that would be a nice bonus.
P.S. but most of the time, I use VGMRadio instead.
@Pillowpants few days ago a friend of mine made such song, he made Michael Jackson sing about how much he loves eating burgers.
And it was like the real deal, of course anybody knowing a bit about the artist would scratch himself behind their ear about the lyrics.
But still, it's creepy people can make such stuff in under 1 hour on their smartphone...
AI can be a great tool, but like usual people and companies will use it the wrong way.
Companies because of greed and or lazyness.
And some nutty people online to spread fake news, hate, discrimination and many other things.
AI is like a kitchen knife, but many thousands of times more dangerous.
The kitchen knife is made to cut your food or to spread something on a sandwich for example, but there is always "that one person" that will use is as a weapon.
Same with AI, great tool, but most humans are not suited to handle it, and to make the matter worse, same humans learn the AI the exact same crap we do, so it will make same mistakes but on a larger scale.
Imported the physical asian english one, I didn't care about the dlc so that is fine (with regular Miku games I care much more about being able to download DLC if they come out)
Not going to happen, even the Switch is rarely if ever on sale here (maybe is different) and that was different with the 3ds/2ds and others too.
Nintendo is earning hard money on these, the Select line is dead which I find sad, because I bought many of them because they went down in price that way.
The only two things I ask, no beg from Nintendo in the controller of Switch it's successor.
A better d-pad, for my part copy the amazing PS Vita one that even Sony doesn't realise how amazing it is.
And analog triggers.
Just that
As for the system itself I have a longer list, but controller wise just this, and just keep the rest of Switch Pro controller design because aside from these two things, it's amazing.
Annoyng it comes out so late without any news on physical, asian english one comes out next month and I rather get a EU physical if possible, but I rather not wait either.
@LikelySatan PC for me this time (plus Steam Deck if I want to)
Played and finished the OG game, kinda weird a Switch exclusieve port ran worse than P5R (played and finished on Switch) on Switch which was a port from a better (PS4) system.
Well it's even worse, I have seen people I know buy a memory card from a real brand (Samsung or Sandisk) for a price that makes sense (€25 euro few years ago for a 128gb memory card was pretty normal)
And they got a fake one.
Of course they were not real Sandisk or Samsung cards, but you saw that the moment the package came in, not before.
@Dm9982 depending how you look at it, no monster hunter game is worth the first spot.
However the problem with Rise is that aside from the gameplay, it doesn't have that much going for it.
Sunbreak solved some stuff, but it didn't do any miracles because that was just an impossible task.
Even World didn't mess it up that hard, but that is a talk for a different time and place.
Again I didn't dislike any MH game, but everything after since Portabke 3rd would end up above Rise, just for the fact every game since then had more positive points than just one.
As someone who played all MH games, even Portable 3rd.
I shake my head in disbelief when seeing this list.
Just wow (Rise doesn't deserve the number one spot the moment you ignore the mechanics, I don't hate the game, I don't hate any MH game, but it just doesn't deserve it, that's like saying "newest Mario is always the best one", and we have all learned that too is not always the case in the past)
Yuzu devs f'ed up royally by going Patreon (= earning money from Yuzu), promoting compatibility with unreleased and released games, and promoting to join Patreon to get newest builds.
A shame, I like citra on my Android phone because I am too afraid to take out my 3ds out door to play a game (they are expensive here and getting parts is harder and harder)
Same with Vita3K, use that for exact same reason.
Wasnt interested in Yuzu, never tried it not even on my Steam Deck (got that for PC gaming in bed, on the couch and so on, when I don't want to sit behind my PC)
Such a shame.
Disclaimer: I collect games and am a gamer, so from the 93 3ds games I have, I had only the Pokémon ones for on the go.
As for Vita (full EU set plus imports), mostly some quick games like Lumines or Puyo Puyo Tetris.
I used the emulators only for on the go actually, because I find playing on a touchscreen "mwah" for most games, and didn't want a controller for my phone, because honestly 99% of the time I don't game on my phone at all.
They should never port it to the Switch or bother fixing it.
You can not fix this game
When it came out it had huge performance problems too, especially on PC.
But few years later the issues solved themself.
How? The game is extremely bandwidth heavy, and new GPUs solved that issue, and thus the game ran fine later.
Switch is not a PC, the hardware it has is the one it keeps having, there are multiple games that show the Switch lacks enough bandwidth, and porting one of the most bandwidth hungry games of it's time was a stupid move to say at least.
This time I get it on PC (and play it on that and on Steam Deck when not on PC)
Played Persona 5 Royal and SMTV on Switch, finished both but it's so weird that a game like SMTV has more performance issues than P5R, while SMTV was MADE for the Switch.
Also ton of other games I am going to play on the Switch, currently busy with the Apollo Trilogy, next will be Unicorn Overlord and after that I am going to finish some VNs I got.
Plenty to play on the Switch, so not getting SMTV on it doesn't make me use it less.
I know these are low budget games, but I rather had them keep the pixelated look of the previous game (played that on PS Vita, but it came later out on Switch too)
I expect let's go games, but after the previous one I am not excited for that.
Don't get me wrong, they are fine but I don't like tge catch mechanic (not on a true console like the Switch) and they were the barebone versions, not something like FRLG.
Performance wasn't even my biggest issues, the games had other non performance problems I disliked even more.
The story was fun, the post game was so good it kind of annoyed me why the whole game wasn't that great.
Anyhow no matter ones opinions, these high sale number have a really dark side to them, they give Nintendo, PKMN Co and Gamefreak a signal that the games sell anyhow no matter their state and amount of content in them.
@HobbitGamer I don't blame the stores so sorry if it did sound like it.
Pokémon hype was there and that is true, even when I was a kid.
But even 10 years ago, or 20+ the worst that would happen was other kids trying to give you a bad trade deal or steal your card.
Nowdays most stores keep Pokémon cards in a safe or a different room here, because already multiple times stores were robbed at night, even a toy store and they only took cards (regular toy stores only sell the card packs and sets, they don't buy people their cards)
Not to mention multiple times where people got robbed from the cards, not so long ago a guy was robbed because he had multiple first print cards.
Robbed, at his home by armed people.
The least what happens nowdays is people getting agressive when some stores put a limit on how much packs a customer can buy, when a new set comes out.
So yes the hype was there, always but nowdays it got out of the hand at least in my country.
Maybe that in other countries it was always like that, no idea.
@Snatcher if people (mostly adults) treated them that way it would be fine.
There is game shop in my country that sells cards and games, the shop is often full of Pokémon card buyers, because the store also buys rare cards.
And then you see 10 or 15 adult guys stand in your way when you want to buy a game, because they buy a ton of Pokémon cards and immediately sell rare cards to the store.
And there are many places like that, there is even locally a store here that only sells Pokémon cards because any other type of TGC is hidden out of sight, because their customers come for one thing.
And they too also buy your cards...
That is the real issue, the times these things were simple and fun game/hobby is long loooong behind us.
Long ago I also had discussions about what is "a visual novel"
At some point I discovered that everyone has a different definition of what a VN is, so I stopped caring and started giving a very simple answer when asked.
@Paraka it wouldn't be the first time a game exploded in sales for no reason.
This game got some interesting attention before it came out for looking like "a Pokemon rip off" and people expected it to be trash.
Then some other people played it and people saw the game is actually good enough, so all the attention immediately changed into hype.
That's how these things work, not only for games.
2 questions do remain, the game is made by a japanese dev, and japanese devs would be way more cautious before they rip off one of the biggest, if not the biggest franchise out there.
Second question is if this hype is temporary or not, past proved that it can go two ways, one of staying successful and second by just dying.
Games ripoff each other for years, creativity is long gone (part of the issue is the market itself)
This game just combined the stuff people like and did it in some regards better than the original games did.
Pokemon Company can sleep safe, I am a Pokémon games fan, but Scarlet and Violet proved that any game with Pokémon on it, even if poorly made will sell millions.(even I bought them, and finished it)
But that aside, Palworld is fine (tried it, but I prefer other games more) but not the only game ripping off the formula.
If anything Palworld is at most 20% "a Pokémon" rip off and probably over 50% Ark with the 30-ish percent being everything else.
@Key19 we are at a point where some legitimate Pokémon designs look like rip-off or fan made.
I would want to play this "free" content, but I didn't buy the DLC so...
At some point I will, I am still conflicted if PKMN Company deserves that extra money from me (they do not, yet the stupid nostalgia in me will probably buy it anyhow)
But I don't consider this free, more a bonus because you can not even access it without the paid DLC.

Re: Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket Launches Worldwide Today
Luckily we still have physical card packs in the netherlands... (because of course the app is not available over here)
Probably because they treat Belguim and Netherlands as one, while the first has more strict rules.
Oh well, one less money greedy app on my phone then (trying to see this as an postive thing, and failing)
Re: Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket Surpasses Six Million Pre-Registrations
Not available in The Netherlands.
Oh well, I can always get the physical cards instead, ton of stores sell it here since I was a kid.

Anyhow I prefer the regular method, remember once watching a movie at double the fps and it felt off.
As for games, 95% of the time I prefer 60fps, this game belongs to that 5%.

@Riku3456 pretty much that, if the game was truly 1 on 1 port then the resolution and framerate would be much higher.

Re: Review: Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance (Switch) - Even Better Than The Stellar Original
Still performance issues?
I don't understand this... P5R (PS4 port, og P5 was on PS3) runs and looks better on Switch than SMTV, which was MADE for it.
Oh well, got my pre order on PC this time, but performance aside everyone will have the same experience, solid game that deserves it's score.

Dear Nintendo, calling this "17.7.7" would have been fine too.
Not ranting or complaining, I doubt Nintendo is going to add really new stuff to the software anyhow.
But I find it so strange this got a whole number bump, and this is not the first time happening on the Switch.
Btw 15 minutes is a fine addition to the settings.

Anything below 256gb would be ridiculous.
Especially when high end 512gb SSDs go for 50 euro here and cheap ones below 37 euro.
256gb as minimal sounds fine, but then again PS5 comes with 1TB so a 512gb Switch followup makes more sense.
