Re: Random: Upcoming 'Like A Dragon' Title Is Basically Animal Crossing Now

Rayquaza2510

@KryptoniteKrunch not really Sega their fault

https://www.ign.com/articles/yakuza-rgg-studio-sega-nintendo-switch

"And when it comes to the Switch, it’s kind of a system for a younger audience…it's how we picture it in Japan anyway"

And because "in japan we think this and that" the west is out of luck.

I like japanese games and japan a lot, but honestly sometimes the decisions of some devs there focus too much on "what japan thinks".

And while I understand that for the most part, sometimes it is annoying, especially if you really like certain genres or franchises.

Re: Pokémon GO Introduces Brand New Multiplayer Feature 'Party Play'

Rayquaza2510

@SakuraHaruka as someone living in a bigger city

I understand you

As someone knowing people that live in small far away from cities villages, that don't even have a gym (and sometimes not even a stop)

I think you should keep those people in mind too

(and I am not even starting about physically disabled people, those cases speak for themself)

Often people want too but can not, but there are a lot of people that don't have these issues, or try to justify them because it does not bother them.

It suck

Re: Soapbox: Pokémon X & Y - The Series' Greatest Paradoxes

Rayquaza2510

@Bolt_Strike I like ORAS but I agree, I was disappointed that it lacked the Emerald content.

But if I have to play devils advocate, ORAS are remakes of Ruby and Sapphire and not Emerald.

Still disappointed back then it lacked that content, but I still enjoyed the games.

Same with X&Y, fun games but I was done quicker with them than ORAS.

SuMo and USUM felt like watching the whole Lord of the Rings Trilogy, and really wanting to go to the bathroom when the 3rd movie just started, but you are unable to.

SuMo felt longer than it should be, also after playing it I never touched it again due to lack of content for me afterwards.

USUM felt like a cash grab.

In contrast to popular opinion I did like Sword and Shield a lot. And while tge DLC stories were meh, the second area was fun too.

I dislike let's go games because they should have gone the FRLG route.

And the D&P remakes were fun, but I didn't like the fact they were 99% same games, while previous remakes always added some nice content.

Also I prefer Platinum

As for S&V, I hate them, but not more than OG Red & Blue I dislike the most of all mainline PKMN games.

And no I don't hate/dislike S&V due to performance, I dislike everything except new pokemon in the games and the post game story which is actually darn awesome.

As for the DS era, I like all the games, but Platinum and B2&W2 stand on top.

GBA era is easy, Emerald ftw but I like other games too.

As for gameboy, well aside my hate for gen 1 games, I could play G/S/S for hours without any issues.

Re: Nintendo Switch System Update 17.0.0 Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

Rayquaza2510

And we really need a major update for this Nintendo.

x.x.1 would be fine too.

It feels like someone at Nintendo flips a coin before deciding what software version to use, this time a major update (again because this has already happened before) for a silly patch.

And no I am absolutely not against patches (I am sure someone will read it that way)

But there is no reason to give a security patch, a major update version number.

Re: Review: Disgaea 7: Vows Of The Virtueless - Superb, Supersized Strategy RPG Is A Series Best

Rayquaza2510

The performance is better than with Disgaea 6 (always stutters) but I would not call D7 smooth.

Disgaea 5, 1 Complete and 4 are smooth, D7 is better than 6, but you still need to make the choice between sharp but very stuttery performance (poor frametimes) or more fuzzy but stable performance.

Unless the reviewer has some patched version, the early copy I got has the performance I mentioned (because local stores don’t care about release dates and already sell it here, they only watch out with Nintendo made releases)

Just like with the available demo.

The game itself is fun though, not the top 3 Disgaea, but miles ahead of D6.

Re: Persona 3 Portable & Persona 4 Golden Physical Editions Announced For Switch

Rayquaza2510

I was excited until I saw who does it.

So the shipment time will take what? 6 month? Or more like a year?

Anyhow by the time they ship this, the physical version of P3 Reload is out and I finished playing it (no Switch sadly)

Long long ago these guys were passionate and you could forgive them a lot back in the Vita days, because passion, game nerds and they really tried it.

But the past 2 to 4 years they became greedy.

As for P4G, got the physical Vita one (very solid version) and I finished playing that and my PC copy.

At some point I get the Switch one digitally, finish that twice and I wouldn’t be surprised if by then, they still didn’t ship the Switch physical of it.

Re: Save Big On Danganronpa With Spike Chunsoft's Switch eShop Sale

Rayquaza2510

@JONOFTHEJONS not specifically sexualised, I mean more realistic as the industry it covers is really that scummy.

My point is more, sexualisation in some japanese games is pretty unrealistic and that if why I don’t mind or care about it.

Same with a arm being cut off in a game or anime and the character acting like nothing happened.

Because they are definitely fake.

Meanwhile Oshi no Ko (which is a good anime) covers stuff that actually happen, I can handle that fine but I know people that could not, because what it shows really happens in real life and entertainment business.

Re: Hands On: Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 Could Be So Much More, But Isn't

Rayquaza2510

@koekiemonster you sure? I have MGS collection on the Vita and it contains only the second and third game (while on PS3 it also came with Peace Walker being redone, but on Vita you had to buy the PSP version separately)

@nhSnork in EU we luckily could download it directly from the store on the Vita.

However the US PSN had a much bigger PS1 game selection for the Vita than what we did have.

Re: Red Dead Redemption Fans Aren't Happy About Rockstar's "Lazy Port"

Rayquaza2510

@SwagaliciousJohnson it depends, Pikmin 3 for the Switch was considered a lazy port by some, but in my opinion it wasn’t that bad, because it wasn’t such a old game and it looked modern enough (however a resolution bump would have been nice)

Some would call all these retro collections lazy too, but then we could start about the fact how often the amount of games in them, can justify the price.

It depends per game I think, Red Dead Redemption is a older 3D game, one that even at the time didn’t look bad or amazing.

I get where people come from with it being lazy, most people seem to do it mostly because of the €50 price tag it holds, plus other say that even while the GTA Trilogy is a poor remaster (it is), you at least got that and 3 solid games for €60.

From the same company.

So yeah it depends on the game if one could be called lazy.

Re: Soapbox: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet DLC Is A Chance To Win Back Disenchanted Fans

Rayquaza2510

@Diowine you too?

I tried again playing Scarlet few days ago but after half hour I did stop and put Etrian back into my Switch.

It’s not the concept, I did like Legend of Arceus a lot. But where Sword (and Shield) did feel like Pokémon, Scarlet did not.

I mean I could go on for hours why, but fact alone it feels unfinished (to put that extremely kindly) for me… well I said enough.

(Not being able to go inside 90%+ of all buildings the game has being one of many things)

And I am not talking about performance or graphics, I am ignoring them fully and even then I can’t be bothered to like or finish the game.

Anyhow not getting the DLC because I can’t be bothered to finish the game, even the post game being good (the whole game should be THAT good) didn’t push me enough to play it.

Heck I rather play CoD at this point, and I hate CoD so that is saying enough.

Now that I think about it, it does slightly annoy me how well S&V sold, the sales give off a wrong signal to the (already tone deaf) devs.

Why put effort in it, if the games sell so well. I have seen too many franchises in the past ending this way, because too many people don’t care and some even justify everything wrong with games going bad.

Oh well…

Re: Poll: Do You Think Switch Can Catch PS2's Total Sales Before 'Switch 2' Arrives?

Rayquaza2510

@Keman some free advice

Next time refesh your page before commenting 😊

Because I did read your link and edit my message before you reacted to me.

Anyhow I do agree with other comment saying PS3 is a lost generation.

For one, sales are not everything look at the PSP.

Second, look at how hard Sony was pushing the PS3 later on to have any sales at all.

PS4 never had that issue because Sony didn’t repeat same mistakes with that system.

Re: Poll: Do You Think Switch Can Catch PS2's Total Sales Before 'Switch 2' Arrives?

Rayquaza2510

The huge optimist in me would say yes.

But I am no optimist but a realist, if Tears of the Kingdom is the last true system seller (at this point it looks that way, new system is getting announced next year) then they get probably 5 to 7 million units short to PS2.

If they get another game of that level (Metroid Prime 4, where are you?) then the chances of of getting past DS and PS2 get considerably higher, dare to say it would even happen in real.

@Keman PS2 kept selling after PS3 came out also because PS3 was bloody expensive (starting at €499, that was a ton of money in 2007)

And yes 2007, because another reason PS2 kept selling was that PS3 didn’t release until 2007 in Europe, so that market was left behind for another year. (PS3 released in november 2006 in Japan and US if I remember correctly)

Re: Koei Tecmo And Gust Announcing New Atelier Game Next Week

Rayquaza2510

@Anti-Matter It is not hentai by far, not even by western standards.

I do agree that a male Atelier character would be interesting, but in japan these games are aimed at towards female audience, just because we in the west think otherwise doesn’t change that.

People think way too much with their western mind with these games. However from my knowledge Japan has also the wrong picture about western games.

Re: Soapbox: It's The Port I've Dreamed Of, But Can Switch Deliver The Batman We Need?

Rayquaza2510

@Paraka kind of rude to say “speak for yourself “

I don’t mean high price compared to other systems, that’s something that doesn’t make much sense to compare.

Compared to other Switch games is what I am talking about, it’s great you enjoyed it and so did I, but I am not blindly going to act like the port did not sacrifice too much because it did, I have played worse performing games on other systems in the past, and did enjoy them too.

Heck I even love the OG Goldeneye on the N64, even as of today but I am not going to act like the game runs fine.

There is a huge difference between enjoying a game and enjoying a game but admiting it’s flaws.

Re: Disgaea 7 Scores October Western Release Date, Nine Months After Japan

Rayquaza2510

@Cashews on the other side of the coin, we got more Pokémon games in the past 2 years, than Disgaea ones in the past 6 (Disgaea 5 came out before the Switch)

@DanijoEX probably PS5 or PC here, Disgaea 6 was such a mess on the Switch, my partner got it when the PS5 version came out (was cheaper than PC) and played that.

All the other Disgaea games run excellent on the Switch, but 7 seems to use same engine 6 does so I expect same performance on the Switch.

(That 2015 tech is showing it’s age, sad fact)

Re: Farming Simulator 23 Gameplay Trailer Showcases New Machinery, Maps And More

Rayquaza2510

€39.99 preorder on Switch, oh boy they still do that.

The mobile version is under €10 on Android and iOS, and these are full games too.

Same was the case when these games came to the 3DS and Vita, under €10 on mobile but €39,99 on consoles because reasons, while there are controls aside the same full game.

For people wondering, the very first Farming Simulator on the Switch was the real deal consoles and PC get, but they never released the DLC on Switch version of it.

Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom File Size Seemingly Revealed For Switch

Rayquaza2510

@FightMikes I don't think it it that wild, we don't know the specifics yet, but considering the power of the Switch + 1080p max means less graphical intense and lower and thus smaller in file size textures.

The game will still look great that is not the point (Wind Waker on GameCube still looks great while being even smaller in file size)

But that is the reason why I don't find this any wild, the file size makes all the sense.

Re: Nintendo Switch Is Not "Technically Capable" Of Running Call Of Duty Games, Says CMA

Rayquaza2510

@Fiskern exactly reading is a thing and so I did.

It's like playing a PC game on low settings because you lack the hardware for high ones, still the same game though no matter the settings.

Same could be done for the Switch, eventually with a different engine.

And I am not claiming they will do it, it wouldn't be cheap so I doubt they go that route, but the possibility is there.
