Re: Switch, Xbox, PS5 Power Consumption Comparison - How Energy-Efficient Is Nintendo Switch?

Rayquaza2510

I don’t know… this comparsion feels, stupid?

I like the switch a lot and I bought multiple games on it instead of my much more powerful PC because I like the Switch for multiple reasons.

But it’s a strange comparison mind you, considering how much more power the XSX and PS5 have compared to the Switch, that sits between a PS3 and a Xbox One S.

But oh well yes it is power efficient, so is my more powerful than the Switch smartphone that uses even less power.

See why this doesn’t make any sense?

Re: Video: YouTuber's Switch OLED Screen Still Standing After 7,000 Hours

Rayquaza2510

He could also have some dumb luck.

I remember with the Vita some people had burn-in after a few years of usage, and even one of my 2 Vita systems I have has some lighter burn-in.

Funny enough the one that has zero burn-in is over 10 years old and used for thousands of hours.

But burn-in on consoles is less of a issue anyhow, use a OLED for regular desktop usage and unless you try to prevent it, in few months you will already have visible issues.

Re: Feature: Which Region Has The Best Pokédex? Every Pokédex, Ranked From Best To Worst

Rayquaza2510

Hoenn and Shinnoh are always high on my list.

Galar and Kalos have some good Pokémon too.

Unova really tried to fill up the world as much as possible with only new Pokémon… at a cost, but yet I still think it doesn’t rank on bottom.

But Kanto on number 1?

Really? (unless for nostalgia reasons)

For me even Johto ranks higher, and that says something from a Pokedex where I only care about Ho-Oh, Celebi, Unown, Sudowoodo and Tyranitar.

But each to their own I guess.

I wouldn’t say any Pokedex is really bad, underwhelming at worst (Kanto and Alola for me)

Also I don’t understand the issue with many legendaries, nothing wrong there and honestly I missed them in Kalos for example, because in the games Volcanion, Diancie and Hoopa were event only Pokémon.

Re: Nintendo Is Apparently Not Involved In The New Switch DRM Initiative

Rayquaza2510

@sanderev with the difference of games existing in thousands or million copies, and a painting most often being a single item (unless you copy it, but then that’s a fake)

And before you start about piracy again, that is not the point of my reaction, but the fact your comparison doesn’t make any sense.

(I am against piracy but also against DRM.

Because DRM doesn’t solve piracy, it only punishes the paying customer.)

Re: Nintendo Confirms That Splatoon 3's Shiver Identifies As Female

Rayquaza2510

@Flash33 “Hi I’m Alex, and I’m non-binary”

I never though of doing such a thing as who I am

But I know to many people doing that... (and not only LGBTQ people, I even saw some say "Hi I'm (insert name) and I am from the US"

"They’re people just like everyone else. So why not live life as normal?"

Main reason why who I am is not a issue for me in my daily life, but where my parents their roots are from was until I was way after school and study.

@cdmac because it is the same type of bullying.

It doesn't matter if you are black, muslim, easter european, asian, non binary, gay, transgender.... if people have a problem with you, the way they treat you will be the same.

And it hurts the same, there is no difference there and there was never one to begin with.

That's the whole point.

Re: Nintendo Confirms That Splatoon 3's Shiver Identifies As Female

Rayquaza2510

@cdmac I dare to say there is no difference.

I mean technically there is, but "when you are called names, abused, spit on and looked down on" because you are a transgender... and then the same exact thing happens (based on my country) because you are black, muslim of from eastern europe...

That's the same to me

This I say as someone who belongs in both groups, double trouble for me. (actually even triple trouble)

If anything, me being who I am is on a daily basis less of a issue than all the abuse I got from others in my teenage years because of where I come from (or to be more precise, my parents because I was not born there)

Re: Nintendo Confirms That Splatoon 3's Shiver Identifies As Female

Rayquaza2510

@johnvboy you can say that again

I know a lot of LGBTQ people, and 95% of them are not different than "the normal" folks, even better most of them are even more fun to be around because of the more open way they think.

But that 5%... that very very loud 5% is more toxic than some League of Legends gamers... and the best remedy against that 5% is to fully ignore them (fully, no exception) because they think they need some "special" treatment, that even if you give one to them, they will ALWAYS find a way to complain about you "not accepting them"

Sadly that loud 5% is the reason some "normal" people have the wrong idea about the other 95% of LGBTQ people...

Re: Nintendo Confirms That Splatoon 3's Shiver Identifies As Female

Rayquaza2510

BWAHAHAHAHA

ok on a more serious note

It would be nice and totally fine by me if the character was non binary, I have zero issues with it.

But why the laughing then?

Because of all the people that jumped on this ASSUMING it is how THEY want it to be, instead of waiting until Nintendo would confirm it.

But these people will never learn... never.

Better next time, I assume that at some point Nintendo will do such a thing for real.

(fully ignoring that in my opinion none of the Splatoon squid characters really looks like male of female to me, maybe more people should think this way instead)

Re: New Denuvo 'Switch Emulator Protection' Tech Launches, And Players Are Worried

Rayquaza2510

@Fizza that plus the fact that Denuvo type of DRM is often a trigger for people to crack the game just because people hate it that much.

On PC Denuvo is a big issue, mostly on systems with a weaker CPU (waves at the Switch) where it gives more often a performance hit, than on something with more horse power.

Most people that are against piracy don’t understand that DRM doesn’t prevent piracy and they forget how anti consumer it is, it only gives a bigger excuse to pirate something because people hate DRM.

I am against piracy but also heavily against DRM like Denuvo.

Re: Feature: Every Pokémon Game Narrative, Ranked From Best To Worst

Rayquaza2510

On a story level Sun and Moon is just under Black and White plus it's follow-ups.

Reason most people can't see that is because of the handholding being so annoying you don't care for the story, you just get totally mad for the constant stops the game makes because of the handholding.

X&Y has a fine story, I like it, but Team Flare just makes zero sense, even less than Team Rocket.

Legend of Arceus I found "meh" story wise, but better than Sword and Shield.

Don't get me wrong, for a Pokémon game both have a fine story.

Anyhow even while my favorite games are R&S and DPP... BW and B2W2 win hands down story wise.

For the rest Gold and Silver having a good story? Really? Nah, don't agree on that, the games are good and have some solid remakes, but they were never about the story.

Re: A New Limited-Time Pokémon Sword And Shield Distribution Event Has Been Announced

Rayquaza2510

@Epic617 the game doesn’t even support megas sadly.

Mega Pokémon were the only “gimmick” that was fun.

Cool looks for some Pokémon and even new ability’s for others when using it.

Everything after that felt meh, Z moves you could fully ignore because they did not add anything (luckily sun and moon did support mega stones too)

Gigantamax same story but even worse, however only in regular battles because in raids it made a littlebit more sense.

And Scarlett and Violett same thing from what I saw.

I don’t mind the gimmicks, also I don’t say everyone should like mega evolutions.

But be consistent and stick to one of them…

Re: Digimon Survive Is Getting Review Bombed On Metacritic

Rayquaza2510

Reminds me a littlebit of Utawarerumono Mask of Deception and Mask of Truth issue.

Mind you fans knew what the game was about, and 90% of people that got those 2 were fans, but the other 10% saw the "SRPG" on the back and didn't bother to read more into it.

They are both roughly 90% VN and 10% SPRG, again fans knew that but that 10% did not and complained a lot.

Even worse some people got the second game and complained it doesn't make any sense, that is true because you must play the first one and fans knew that.

This Digimon story issue feels the same, with the difference that Bamco messed up with not being very clear this is first and foremost a VN, and second being Digimon a bigger franchise.

I did play the Digimon and in my fair opinion it is a mediocre VN, even for a VN fan like me this is a tough pill to swallow because the story feels to generic to be a VN, it would fit a regular (S)(J)RPG more.

Re: Raunchy Rhythm Title 'Massage Freaks' Delayed Indefinitely After Online Backlash

Rayquaza2510

@icomma It depends

People complain about stuff in games they don't like, that is freedom of speech and not censorship.

BUT

It can lead to censorship in some cases, because the thing people had critique about could end up censored because of people not liking it.

Freedom of speech is always a double edged sword, it's just that the other side of it doesn't always have the same outcome.

Re: Raunchy Rhythm Title 'Massage Freaks' Delayed Indefinitely After Online Backlash

Rayquaza2510

Not surprised

I don't mind such games even while I don't play them if someone likes it then play it, I don't judge.

In my case however give me a good (anime) JRPG of a Visual Novel and I am more happy.

But this "game" was only made to look for that invisible border of how far it could go on a Nintendo system, and it did end the way I expected it.

I am actually a littlebit angry at this, not because they decided to postpone it but mostly because it gives a bad name for normal anime based games.

I still remember the backlash of some games in the past, which caused other games to get negative attention for no reason, this is the only reason why I wished this "release" would never be announced, keep this stuff on PC where nobody cares as much (this from a PC gamer mind you)

Because on PC there are multiple way to get to Rome, on consoles there is always just one. (hacking aside)

@BloodNinja from what I understand based on what some japanese people I know said to me.

The backlash is bigger in the west than it is in Japan, but that is due to the culture over there.

Same culture, according to them being the reason these things happen over there.

Re: Hideki Kamiya: Nintendo Hasn't Ever Asked Platinum To Cover Up Bayonetta

Rayquaza2510

@mariomaster96 while I don’t mind the optional mode.

That is how it always begins, first you give people the option, next time you force them and in some cases the next step is making them believe “it is the best for them”.

Last step, but that goes for other things than games is to make people believe it was normal to begin with.

Applies to pretty much everything, not only games.

Re: Review: Bright Memory: Infinite - A Chaotic, Crysis-Style FPS, But Messy And Very Short

Rayquaza2510

It is precisely the game I was warning people for.

Skip it unless it’s at least 90% off.

So many other games where the money is better spend on.

@Buizel it is “the full game”

On paper, I and a lot of people that played the PC version concluded this is a tech demo at best.

The only reason this “game” makes sense is to mess around with Ray Tracing on PC, and only that.

That is why this doesn’t make any sense on consoles, it loses the only reason to exist on them.

As for the score 5 is extremely generous, and for people that wonder about the second game well it is precisely the same short mess, with the sole reason of it’s existence being Ray Tracing on PC.

That and nothing more, so if the dev does release that on consoles, don’t bother waiting but just do a full skip.
