@Pillowpants Maybe a coding and/or bandwidth issue.
There were some Switch games in the past that could not run at certain resolutions while docked because of not enough bandwidth, maybe this game tries it anyhow and that is why it has performance issues while docked.
One of few reasons (but main reason) I had stop collecting these cards years ago.
It changed from “a fun collet and card game” into “these cards are worth a ton of money and people even weight their packs to get best cards, plus even some stores started doing it because of how stupidly large value some cards are, so the packs you buy have s****y pull rate”
Pretty much this, the fun stopped at that point for me.
@Serpenterror I don't think that is a valid reason for Sony/MS/Nintendo to keep physical media, most sales take place in EU, US and Japan, and I am sure these companies would calculate how much they win financialy by dumping physical media (a lot)
I would rather see physical games stay, but that is just me, most gamers don't care anymore.
@NinjaNicky I prefer physical media, PC aside.
But I do think it is a poor excuse to "go that route" if it would stop existing, in my opinion one should stop gaming or just deal with it.
For me digital only on consoles would mean me buying more games on PC, I would get a Nintendo system for Nintendo games only then, and the non Nintendo games I got on systems like the Switch and the 3DS, I would buy on PC instead.
Because on PC there are more possibilites as to accessing these games multiple years after, not counting online only games but that is common logic.
@liljmoore your first comment didn't encourage me to comment more on it.
But technically by the logic of that comment, people that live in remote areas, without the possiblity to go to a raid or people with physical disability.
Are "lazy" by that logic.
Also thanks to the remote raids being possible, a lot of people from afar started to play together, I know people that live more than 1 hour driving by car from me, but I could invite them to a raid near me because of this system.
I walk a lot, and I know people that walk even more than I do.
But just because some people can not, for various reasons doesn't make them lazy if they complain about Niantic butchering this.
That's all I have to say, making this comment any longer wouldn't change much I am afraid, at least based on that first comment you made it gives off that feeling.
It's a movie about Mario, you know that guy that never really talks in games.
I don't mind the voice actors though, because of the reason I just mentioned, but imagine a Zelda movie, it would make sense to use same voice actors that did their voice in BotW for example.
A black OG 3DS and then later a New 3DS XL MHG SE.
The latter is still in use of course, such a shame that we never got a regular red N3DSXL in EU (I don’t mind mine being a MH edition, because I am a MH fan anyhow)
Not the biggest fan of partially voiced dialogues, I can live with them to a certain point in some games, but the more dialogue a game has (or worse, it's a VN) the less I can live with it, and quickly that ends up being annoying.
No voices at all can be disappointing, but if I had to pick between those two, then I rather have nothing than just a part of it.
@Vyacheslav333 you forgot the third option when a game has both, but the English one sucks and people complain about that.
People should accept that english dubs are not free, and while Ryza games had their fair share of success, a lot of japanese games (even older Atelier ones) don’t have that luxury, not to mention how much dubbing has to be done (and I rather not see what some games did, where the english dubbing was just a small part of the japanese one, due to the costs)
I could make this discussion longer, but I already know what people begging for dubs will say.
So I keep it at two things, I like GOOD dubs, no matter if english or japanese, bad dubs destroy the experience and more (applies for games and anime)
But more importantly, people asking for english dubs should finally realise why a lot of these games lack English dubbing in the first place, because from what I see 9 out of 10 times these people totally ignore the reasons a game lacks it.
@ComfyAko to make the immigration story short enough.
Immigration can help if there are not enough people available to do the work, but I myself am talking about "not enough people" (like in japan) and not "not wanting to do certain type of work" (like in my country or some other EU ones)
However
While it could help Japan, I don't think that Japan as of today is ready for it, not as long most of the older people are against it.
To quote my other comment:
"Maybe if japanese people were a “littlebit” more open to immigration and more friendly to foreigners (and I mean really friendly not the “because our culture says so” friendly)"
And to make it more clear how bad the situation is in Japan, one of my friends is not pure japanese, his mom is british and his dad is japanese, he was born there and his mom lived in Japan for over 5 years before he and his younger brother were born.
They are half japanese, born in japan, and are officially japanese citizens on paper too.
But the (mostly older people) bigger part of the society treats them as foreigners because they are "not pure japanese".
They are "worse" because of that.
(sidenote: of course not all Japanese people are like that, younger ones tend to be more open, but this is a real issue over there it seems)
If that alone is a issue, imagine how bad it would be for a immigrant to work and live there.
Japan needs extra hands, they don't have many options left, but at the same time Japan must change how the act as a society to foreigners in their own country.
And while younger people tend to be more open (not all of them), that's not enough.
@steely_pete maybe my comment wasn't clear, but I am talking about population.
Reason Kamiya started about declining birthrate is because the younger population is shrinking, which makes the amount of older people in japan bigger than the younger ones.
Of course having a higher birthrate is a nice thing to have for Japan (my personal opinions aside), but having extra hands to help at the moment (more people thanks to immigration for example) is what they really need now, and in the future.
@Clyde_Radcliffe yeah it is kinda weird he gets a pass, but I guess that's how some people are I guess.
@ComfyAko well one thing is that they don't care what english speaking world does think about them.
@Donutman I truly wonder in which country people think like that.
I mean every country has their own reasons, and in most cases they are directly or indirectly caused by governments.
And in some special cases like japan and few other countries, because of the (often older) society.
In my country there is birth decline too, because society and government expect you to lend a ton of money to go to a good school, because no papers means you are "useless" (even if you are smarter than the ones with fancy papers), then they expect you to work hard, pay taxes and if possible loan more money for a house, because that gives the tax office more money.
And please don't get sick, because the compulsory health insurance system over here is not free.
OWH and the recent "there must be a balance between males and females working" caused the biggest hit, because what kind of woman wants a child if they don't have time for one? And remember, the father is also working.
It's not that people don't want kids, it's that the governments and society (depends per country, but at least both apply for mine) expect you to be succesful and STFU.
Kids are a luxury, and not a financial one but time wise one, and time is valuable here.
Also it kinda sucks for some kids that have parents like that, the youngest sibling in my family is 10+ younger than me, my mom had all the time for all of us, but I have seen how much time most classmates of my sister had with their parents, and unless those classmates came from cultures where a woman has enough time to spend on the kids, then most of them saw their parents in the mornings and at bedtimes, and probably sundays if their parents had a office job (because a lot of stuff is open on sundays here)
P.S. it is not selfish to not have childeren, each to their own if they want them, for one I prefer to see people have kids they will love and have time for them.
Secondly, but that applies to the countries where people have too many kids, they need to slow the hell down, this planet is not made for that many people.
I don't want to sound ranty, but the whole climate change issue is not only due to our behaviour, but also because how many people live on it.
Well declining birth rate is a Japan (and few other countries worldwide) issue.
However all these countries their governments are often the reason why, as for worldwide situation I think we have too many people on this planet already.
However Japan is a more special case.
Maybe if japanese people were a “littlebit” more open to immigration and more friendly to foreigners (and I mean really friendly not the “because our culture says so” friendly)
I love japan and I have multiple japanese friends, but fact is that with most (NOT ALL) japanese people, their politeness and openness is not always sincere (I have a friend that is a transgender that emigrated to japan, it’s that she has a small group of japanese and western friends in japan that accept her, because otherwise she would probably quickly return back to her own country)
It feels like a show, and honestly you are better off being a tourist there than a citizen if not native Japanese.
Anyhow, kinda ironical the same guy that blocks anybody posting a english tweet to him (because you must speak and be japanese) starts about “not enough babies”.
If anything in japan that issue has a very clear answer as to why the birth rate declines over there.
Oh well sorry for the rant, at least the game is enjoyable, if anything I did enjoy this one more than Bayonetta 3.
THANKS CAPCOM FOR FULLY IGNORING EUROPE 3DS OWNERS AGAIN.
I would love to get all the missing Ace Attorney games, considering they are digital only for the 3ds for us.
But while Atlus kept giving us sales, Capcom ignored the 3ds owners here for multiple years now.
Thx for that /s
At least I got Monster Hunter Stories in time then, because I did expect it never going on sale again, and that one hiked up in price, but with the Ace Attorney games there is no physical alternative.
I guess I get these someday on iOS or Android then.
(and sorry for sounding ranty, but some of the capcom games didn’t go on sale in Europe on the 3ds since 2018, aeons before we even thought of the day the eshop would close on the 3ds)
Atlus did have enough sales in at least EU, the only lesser thing is that those sales often didn’t include the later Deep Silver published games, aka the ones that are the most expensive physically in EU (exception being Persona Q2)
@GrailUK poor customer service, delays, issues when they ship something damaged and you live outside the US, lies (claiming their release being superior just to make a asian one worse), and in some cases going as far a dev would not include english language on a different region physical game, because same dev had a deal for a US physical release by LRG.
Just a few of many issues with the current LRG as a company, but people that don't have issues with them should be happy, but just because someone doesn't have issues with them (or doesn't want to acknowledge them) doesn't mean there are no issues overall with LRG.
Ordered a ton of Vita games, and a handful of Switch ones from them in the past, but even I could not ignore their practices anymore, and this is from someone who ignored issues with EA and Ubisoft being scummy for years.
For me LRG just went beyond these 2.
If anything the least terrible thing LRG does nowdays is milking out their customer and fanbase, and if that is the most positive thing about them nowadays, that is not a good thing.
Mind you I am talking about LRG after the Vita days, in the Vita haydays they made some small mistakes that you could ignore, but at a certain point they made a 360° and became what they are now, what I just mentioned.
In their early days I had nothing bad to say about them, even better 99% of the problems I just mentioned didn't apply to them when they started.
Maybe the money just made them this way, who knows...
@Snatcher Mega Evolutions and regional variants are the only 2 things I liked.
Z moves, gigantamaxing and the current gimmick I forgot the name of... I never saw their appeal, only many reasons to avoid them as much as possible in my gameplays.
I could pick a GBA for Christmas but wanted the SP.
My parents were like “not going to pay €30 euro more for essentially the same thing”
They immediately changed their mind when I started about the rechargeable battery.
@romanista for the same reasons I sold games when I was younger that would earn me 4 times (or more) now.
Being a kid is the issue, it’s when I got older that the whole “need to sell old games to buy new ones” disappeared because of having more money available.
I don’t think cartridge size is the reason for the price increase, that means nintendo has to pay more to nintendo, to use the 32gb cart.
Also BotW and Smash were €69,99 digitally from start here, while the physical games were €59,99. So I think this whole price increase has a different reason behind it.
@Tharsman Hoping for the best but Atlus and Sega are not the best one when it comes to providing english laguage option in Asia, Square Enix and Bandai Namco are much more reliable on that regard.
Speaking from experience, I import a lot (mostly play-asia) and that place tends to claim stuff that isn't true, I would at least wait until someone else confirms the Asian english version being a thing, I expect japanese and chinese in the asian one at best.
Not to sound rude, I try to be a realist because I don't like to get my or other people their hopes up for nothing.
When I saw this and the date for Advance Wars I nearly jumped from happiness.
But then I saw the price
And no physical for the west (and japanese one is only in japanese)
I get this on a sale, and at this point I don’t care if on PC or Switch, whichever is cheaper…
Some info btw
These are NOT the Untold games, I saw people asking that pretty often in the past few hours online, but these are the original DS ones (I like both OG and Untold)
Also it’s that 2 and 3 are expensive, DS is region free but still, this release is cheaper than those.

Ignore Ricky Martin and the whole list is pretty recent for what it is… also very lackluster, that’s a shockingly short track list honestly.

Re: Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak's Free Title Update 5 Flies Onto Switch Tomorrow
@Joeynator3000 same
For me this update is purely Amatsu, nothing more.
I hope that with the next MH game, these title updates go back to the level of what we got in Iceborne.

@Serpenterror it won’t because next gen will go full on digital, especially because digitale sales are now higher than physical.
Sad times, but it was a matter of time.

Re: Sega Explains Why Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection Costs $80
It “makes sense” why this is it’s price
But it doesn’t make sense why the collection is not physical in the west at all.
(Japanese one doesn’t have english on it, asian does people say, but there is no 100% confirmation about that until it’s out)
@aurumonado while P5R is a long game, the Etrian Collection are 3 games, that’s why the pricing logic changes.

I fully agree on that, same with patriotism.
Re: Random: Hideki Kamiya Thinks Bayonetta Origins Will Help People Make Babies
@Warioware you can say that again.
Some people are just not fit to have kids (for a million of reasons why)
Others don't have the time or money
And then there are people that are not able to have their own kids, even if they wanted to (looks in the mirror)
And adoption is not a option for everyone.
If anything those people are selfish to think it's up to them to decide someone should have kids.
I mean everyone can have a opinion sure, but some people go beyond that.

But while Atlus kept giving us sales, Capcom ignored the 3ds owners here for multiple years now.

Re: Latest Limited-Time Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Tera Raid Battle Event Announced
@Snatcher Mega Evolutions and regional variants are the only 2 things I liked.
Z moves, gigantamaxing and the current gimmick I forgot the name of... I never saw their appeal, only many reasons to avoid them as much as possible in my gameplays.
Re: Talking Point: 20 Years Of The Best Game Boy Ever - How Did You Get Your GBA SP?
I could pick a GBA for Christmas but wanted the SP.
My parents were like “not going to pay €30 euro more for essentially the same thing”
They immediately changed their mind when I started about the rechargeable battery.
@romanista for the same reasons I sold games when I was younger that would earn me 4 times (or more) now.
Being a kid is the issue, it’s when I got older that the whole “need to sell old games to buy new ones” disappeared because of having more money available.
Re: Soapbox: Switch Is Great, But The GBA SP Was The Pinnacle Of Public Transport Gaming
What I find interesting with the GBA SP (my second favorite Nintendo handheld) is how stupidly small it feels nowdays.
In a positive way mind you.
Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Apparently Has The Biggest File Size Of Any First-Party Switch Release
@adh56 while true their digital price is lower.
I don’t think cartridge size is the reason for the price increase, that means nintendo has to pay more to nintendo, to use the 32gb cart.
Also BotW and Smash were €69,99 digitally from start here, while the physical games were €59,99. So I think this whole price increase has a different reason behind it.
Re: Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection Brings Original Trio Of DS Titles To Switch In June
@Tharsman patches are region free (DLC not btw) but you would get a patch for the region the game is from, Japan for the Japanese copy.
So if the western one would get a language patch, but the japanese not, then the japanese copy will not get that patch.
Re: Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection Brings Original Trio Of DS Titles To Switch In June
Re: Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection Brings Original Trio Of DS Titles To Switch In June
@Tuulenpoika but Sega was the one deciding those prices to my knowledge.
Maybe this time Atlus did it.
@Tharsman was confirmed yesterday, digital only in the west, physical in japan but has no other languages but japanese on the cartridge.
Re: Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection Brings Original Trio Of DS Titles To Switch In June
Re: Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist Of Salburg Arrives On Switch This Summer
Pleasantly surprised by this.
