Makes sense considering how many people got a R4 on the DS and called it a day.
At certain point I got parents at my door asking me to fix free games, because I knew how even while I always bought every of my DS games… but being a tech geek was the reason I knew it.
I can thank my (back then) 8 years old sister for telling it to all the kids she knew, because well it was cool to brag about a older sibling having that knowledge.
Yeah… she was a little kiddo but I rather had her never mention it, once I got a angry father when he wanted me to fix it for his kiddo, and I said “buy games legally” and the guy flipped because “I AM NOT GOING TO PAY €49.99 FOR A STUPID GAME!”
I said to him he should steal his neighbour’s car, he didn’t get it and when I explained him what he does is stealing, he said “digital goods can not be stolen”
@MrHonest everything can be political if people look for reasons to put it there.
Even a discussion about japanese versus french mayonnaise could end up political if one really wants to.
That makes it so silly people keep doing that, especially with stuff they dislike.
But oh well… just my two cents for not being such a person, much healthier to look at stuff the way they really are, and not to try putting them in a corner they don’t belong in.
Took them long enough to bring a new monster, instead of different versions of existing ones in the game.
But I won’t hurry with doing the quest, Chaotic aside the updates were much less exciting than Iceborne title updates.
Oh well by the time I finish 4 Ultimate I start spamming this new content (replaying it because I am done with GU by now because I did play that due to me losing interest in Sunbreak updates)
While the new monsters in title updates did lack a lot, gameplay wise the game did get fun stuff, so no it is not all negative either, just the monsters.
(And before someone doesn’t read again, I am talking about monsters added in the title updates, the ones that came with Sunbreak I had never really any complains with)
@Sarkos never liked the Valstrax in Rise, did like it a lot in GU.
But I can’t really point at what the reason for that is.
@MrHonest I truly don’t understand why people have to put stuff in a political corner if they don’t like something.
That and the fact people care about politics (to such degree) at all.
Not a fan of these games for a different reason, but I don’t think it is fair to put stuff in a political perspective either, feels very american thing to do.
Got a regular copy myself, Nintendo went a little too cheap with what we got in this LE compared to the Three Houses one (which was the same price in my country)
@AlphaElite Nah not really that toxic, my partner plays this game sometimes and the community is actually very chill.
Compared to how toxic the Pokémon one has become (left that ages ago and started playing alone and with friends because of it)
And current Monster Hunter community is also not much better (played the games since Unite, but World and Rise brought people that made a mess of it)
I don't think hiking up the price is a good idea though, they do add some content to the game but not often enough to hike the price again.
Also I am not surprised some people in that Twitter encourage the devs to hike it up even more, my partner has only 800 hours in the game since it came out, but I know people that are way and above past the 5000 hour mark, while playing different games on other platforms too.
What I mean is that Factorio has really a ton of content if you are into such games, pretty much endless.
But not really something for me, I am more of a RPG and VN type of person, and if anything I like comes close to Factorio, maybe that would be Rimworld (great game though)
Good games sell on their own, a while ago I had a discussion with a parent that complained how expensive some Nintendo games are, because by being old they should be cheaper.
Not to defend Factorio devs, I don't think they need this price increase.
But what is also true is that often such people are the reason for price hikes on games, and Pokémon games (that often sell tens of millions) are a prime example of that.
@Ralizah I did play P4G on my Steam Deck and PC a while ago (Vita one I played twice when that was still a exclusive)
It is still enjoyable though even after playing P5 and P5R just before that, but I agree that P4G felt “more enjoyable” before playing P5 and P5R, the changes in the latter 2 just make sense, and sometimes you miss that in P4G.
Story in P4G is still fun though, while the one in P5 and P5R is more “mature” I never found the one of P4G worse because of it.
As for P3, I tortured myself years ago with the FES one, and I truly hate the FES it’s last dungeon THE MOST.
So playing P3P will at least solve that issue for me, but I don’t fully remember what I found of that game anymore, I only played it once when FES came out.
@rawzeku yeah this feels like they needed some cons.
If anything both cons in this review are subjective, the real con could be the dungeons for example, I could agree on that.
@RiasGremory you can say that again, had a fierce dicussion few days ago on Discord because few people I knew kept on complaining how "anime" it looks.
Proved them it did always look anime, then they shifted the discussion how stupid the MC is because of two tone hair colour... (and that was enough reason to hate the game)
Haters gonna hate no matter if they are right or not.
@AnorakJimi It doesn’t change much if I mention my criticism about it, because people that like it wave it away no matter what.
Just like some people I spoke of already did, which is fine by me, but then it doesn’t make much sense to mention it, because the end conclusion stays the same for them.
If anything I wanted to like the game, but nearly loosing a friend for me not liking the game, made me hate it.
Because “I have to like it, because it is good, because it changed her life”
Maybe it was better to piss off my friends and not play the game, because I never have opinions about games I didn’t play.
I don’t like the game, but started hating it due to what happened, that comment did mention that.
However I never said it is a bad game.
Simple
Anyhow the friendship did break for other reasons in the end, because of another friend not liking it and she could not handle that, so she left the whole group, even if some of that group DID like it.
Edit:
(What I do wonder is why my comments are gone, oh well…)
I don’t like the intro nor the song, but people that complain about “anime look” clearly forgot the old games had that too, it’s just that anime itself evolved too look wise so it just looked different (long discussion why and when aside)
Oh well
I need to see some good chunk of gameplay before I decide if I want it or not, DF was positive about it but that’s not enough for me.
Chances are indeed high that the next Nintendo console could fail.
Because knowing Nintendo, they make some vague step people will dislike, just like with the Wii U.
However what makes it worse this time is that there will be no second system like the 3ds to save the day…
Anyhow let’s hope Nintendo doesn’t make strange mistakes and let’s hope I am wrong.
However they must hurry with the new system internally by now, Switch is almost 6 years old now and even Nintendo their own games slowly start to show the age of the system. (and people that deny it doesn’t see or want to see the true issue here)
Internally they should be busy with something new by now, because by the time it is ready to announce it would take 2 to 3 years from now on, by that time the Switch is absolutely ripe for a replacement.
Because taking to long to release a successor can also have side effects, like losing the momentum.
If you don’t play nintendo exclusives, these portable pc handhelds make more sense and are a better alternative for the Switch.
And I know plenty of people that got a Switch to play portable games, not exclusives.
For exclusives nothing can (legally) be a alternative to the switch, that simple.
Got both Switch and Deck because of this, best of both worlds, but I really hope Nintendo steps up their game soon, because even their newer titles beg for more performance.
@nessisonett or coffee with a heart attack amount of sugar (I use 1 flat spoon, but I know plenty of people that somehow like their coffee with at least 4 spoons of sugar, in a mug half the size of mine with just 1 flat.
Oh and some trow even a “healthy” amount milk in it too, the idea alone…
And yet people will create a non existent hate and love relationship between both, for no reason.
Won’t go to deep into who and why, I don’t see the need to stir up a discussion, because saying the truth doesn’t mean others will agree to it.
For me I like both, because at heart I am a PC and handheld gamer since I was 9.
And I don’t see myself not gaming on my 3ds, Switch, Vita and so on because I got a Deck, my Deck is for PC gaming when I am not behind my PC, so just like before I got my Deck, I keep playing on both like I did in the past 20+ years.
@CharlieGirl I would agree on the joycons if their quality wasn’t piss poor (replaced my analog 4 times before giving up after 2,5 years)
Got a split pad pro and never looked back, and for docked I use the pro controller instead.
Anyhow I like both, but I would never use my Steam Deck docked because I have a PC that can do much more, so Deck is for when I am not behind my desk, and it syncs my saves.
My Switch on the other hand is meant for both, so there is that.
@nessisonett if the game plays like Dynasty Warriors then maybe.
Meanwhile while a lot of people say that games like Persona 5 Strikers or Senran Kagura are “like dynasty warriors”, they play different, and that is one of the reasons I played them.
As for this game, it’s like saying why do people play Apex if there is Valorant or why do they play CoD if there is CS GO.
Because unless a game is a 1:1 clone of something, there can be plenty of other reasons to play it anyhow.

Re: Poll: Would You Pay $70 For The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom?
It’s like people forgot Smash and BotW are €69.99 on the eshop since launch.
And yes the physical ones never went above €59.99, so who knows same applies for the new Zelda game too.

Meh
Not the best memories from the DS era I have.
Re: Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Title Update 4 Arrives Tomorrow, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
I try to be positive here, at least Velkhana is not another "insert variant of a monster based on one already in the game" .
(I am not against variants, I like them a lot but the Sunbreak Title updates were only those and that is just too much of the good)
Re: Nintendo Wins "Switch Joy-Con Drift" Class Action Lawsuit
@FirstEmperor depends where you live, in my country even if you ship them to Nintendo here, they only fix them in the warranty period.
Been there done that multiple times.

No
I did play it few weeks ago on my N64, if anything the original Doom aged better than 007 gameplay wise.

My only gripe is how heavily Nintendo censored the game, especially the relationships.

It is a double sided coin for me.

A real US style bbq (he is from the US)

I laughed and said “welcome in europe buddy”
But it is true, food difference between regions exist even if you try to make the same dish it is just not the same.

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden On Switch

“Visually horrendous”
I don’t want to defend this game, the WRC series is mediocre on any platform (Dirt Rally is much better)
But the previous WRC game looks much worse on the Switch.
And if this is “Visually horrendous”, then the reviewer should play all the Switch games that are much worse on that regard, plenty of those.
It is for the best this series starts to skip the Switch, these guys don’t have the budget for a good port.
Or even better, this series should die because after the 5th game it went downhill really fast.

Surprised it is good, after main Senran Kagura games I kind of lost my hope in these type of games being just as fun.
