I enjoyed MP4 Beyond but honestly, I think it could have done with one more temple/dungeon and boss fight. The game was good but felt a little short compared to the previous 3 Prime games.
I was a big fan of the OG Metroid Prime Trilogy and I am really enjoying the 4th. There's a ton of places to explore and plenty of weapons to master. All that whining about the human NPC's on your team was massively exaggerated. They're hardly ever with you once you rescue them and get them to basecamp. And even when you do talk to them they're not really annoying IMO. It's actually kinda nice to have a little crew.
Understandable. After playing HW AoC, I chose not to purchase Age of Imprisonment and just watched the cutscenes on Youtube instead. The story and lore content, as predicted, was fantastic but the gameplay was dull and repetitive like its predecessor. Some people like it, there is a market for it but it's not for me. I prefer proper 3D Zelda games as opposed to fighting hordes.
@stephenstig I'm the same. I watched all the Age of Imprisonment cutscenes on youtube to get the story since its canon. But the gameplay is dull and repetitive to me so i'd rather wait for a proper Zelda game to come out.
Honestly, I wouldn't wanna play PC and Xbox games on a system that would give me a lesser fun experience than my gaming PC. I like to play at 4K 120hz with all bells and whistles cranked up. A handheld Xbox can't do that for me. As for handheld gaming while i'm away from home, the Switch 2 gives me a good experience and those Nintendo games aren't on my PC so that console has purpose.
Every time Nintendo does something successful, their competitors try to immitate it. It's as if Nintendo is the only gaming company that actually innovates.
@Arkz have a look at the Switch 2 dock where the console slots into it in the middle. You see those two gaps either side of the usb-c connector? Now have a look at the bottom of the Switch 2 console itself. Those gaps on the dock lineup with the air vents on the console. The fan in the dock blows cool air up into those bottom vents and it gets ejected out of the console’s top vent
I'm dubious of a Switch 2 Dock that doesn't have an active fan in it. Without that extra cooling the GPU will throttle down and you'll lose performance/fps when it heats up. This is why the official dock has a fan inside.
A bold move would be for Nintendo to offer to buy the canned IP from Microsoft. And if they acquire it, they could commission Playtonic Games to make a new Perfect Dark game since Playtonic consists of a lot of OG Rareware employees.
If your joycons are disconnecting that's either a bluetooth issue or a battery issue. HDMI has nothing to do with the joycons. All HDMI does is send audio and video signals through the cable.
I'm honestly not all that bothered about another 3D Mario right now. Hell i'd be happy to see a 2D Mario first. But if i had a choice on priority of which games Nintendo released first, I'd wanna see 4K 60fps UHD remakes of Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess and Wind Waker.
@PS12345 The built-in screen of the Switch 2 may not be OLED but it is a very nice IPS panel and it's bigger. Not that it matters. I connect my Switch 2 via the dock most of the time and play it through a LG OLED TV. As for VRR, it is a shame that only works in handheld mode but to be honest, I have noticed any screen tearing so far. Probably coz most games are optimised and frame rate stays at a steady 60fps when docked. Maybe they'll add it in a firmware update later on. If you remember, PS5 had to do that too.
If a Switch 2 Pro comes out in a couple of years along with the next big Zelda game and supports VRR and has a built-in OLED screen, I'll buy that one too and upgrade again. I'll just sell my Switch 2 on ebay like i did with my Switch 1.
@Anti-Matter I agree. I grew up watching the super mario bros cartoons in the 90's and when Charles Martinet took over the voice role later on, I always thought he was a bit too high pitched for the character. I much prefer Chris Pratt's version.
This is pointless. To repair any weapon all you have to do is teleport to death mountain and drop your damaged weapon in front of an Octorok. Step back a bit, the Octorok will pop up, suck your weapon up then spit it back out. When you pick it back up again, it will be fully repaired.
Best Direct we've had in years! So many good games and features shown off. All those glue eating muppets who said we don't need Switch 2 and we don't need good graphics can kiss it! Now we're getting BOTH baby! Hell yeah
I expect it not to suck. We've had a whole heap of mid Directs over the last 6 months. This one's gotta be a banger coz it's the one that has to inspire pre-orders. It better freakin have Zelda WW or TP HD remasters
Remember when Nintendo released the new Mario movie then around 6 months later they released Mario Bros. Wonder? If the same is going to be true with the Zelda movie, then we'll likely see the next big Zelda game in the 3rd quarter of 2027.

That's cool and all but i'd still prefer it if they released the HD version on Switch 2

I'm pretty sure it won't clash. For AC Shadows I got my gaming PC. For Metroid Prime 4 there's only Switch 2. I can buy both games and alternate
