I and call them slowtendo at times but they been very quick with the gold coins scrapping and game vouchers not for switch 2.
The good ole corporate wheels turn quick in that direction 🤣 Fastendo now.

The vouchers will probably return as a saving but at a higher price for switch 2 games.

I still don’t think they will show what consoles some of the new games are going to be on, when first revealed, because it’s not all day one, like Indy isn’t day one PS5 but Doom is.
I think they will still hold either intentionally or they may not be sure.
So take another game Fable they may well just show Xbox etc on the next trailer, but a few months after release say it’s going to PS5 and at the time of the new trailer did not know that.
Maybe it’s true or maybe a marketing strategy to keep Xbox consoles and GPU ticking over at some sort of profit.

I’m think more like Mario 64.
The professors large lab could be the hub world with secrets and little rooms of its own.

Then jumping through cosmic portals in certain rooms could take Luigi anyway and have far more variety main location wise.

I think it needs to enlarge overall and add more variety which the above would give the game.

Would have been a lot better switch 2 reveal the other day if Nintendo would have done console specs and these potential new features etc, a proper console reveal.

Then in April focus on release date, price, preorders and options and of course the games.
Nintendo really have not been impressive with the way they did that reveal and switch 2.

Being honest I’m glad Astro was magnificent.
Some competition for Nintendo in its own market.
And Nintendo definitely need some.
Just one new 3d Mario for the switch over 8 years isn’t great. Bowser fury was a tickle.
We got two on the Wii within 3 years SMG1 and 2.

Well one thing is for sure if it’s September 2025 with Mario Kart 9 and that is the only NEW big AAA Nintendo in house studio game for the whole of 2025 for Switch 2 that will be very disappointing.
But I don’t want that to happen, but with Slowtendo it is possible.

PS5 discless £380 often has sale at £330
Series S discless £250 to £300

Maybe not a fair comparison as they cannot take physical media, though you can add the disc drive later on the PS5.

But the all powerful PS5 discless at £380 is really at the point where the Switch 2 cannot go over.
Though the switch is handheld as well, tough one this price point.

Pre ordering this thing is gonna be entertaining if nothing else.
I hope they keep it simple and easy and somehow try to stop any scalpers and also think about different countries, different time zones when it all begins.

The games make a console and I bet we don’t get a new 3d Mario platform game on release as I predict on here about two weeks ago.

Thing with Nintendo they are so predicted able nowadays as they are so business common sense run, which I guess they have to be to make money. But it does make them a bit boring nowadays.

I think they had no choice after the super successful Switch. The only main stream hybrid console.
It would have taken a brave person in the board to have moved away from the Switch formula.

I don’t think there will be much else to the switch 2, more powerful the joy con mouse gimmick and that’s it. But I didn’t expect any more than that.

The switch will take some beating sales wise and it’s hard to predict especially if Xbox pull out of the console market and put say Halo etc on switch 2. It could sell even more.

It will probably have few graphical upgrades and maybe 1440p or 1800p or some sort of upscaling.
The extra power will probably go into the game mechanics and having 24 racers instead of 12 and wider tracks and further draw distance.
That suits me.

One thing though they definitely have to have online racing like it is now with the points system giving us something to aim for.
Will be interesting if that stays at 12 or increases to 24 on line.
MK long game is online racing once the single player is done, so it needs to be there.

Well after all the leaks there was not really much left for this reveal.
Confirmed BC is was good.

So it’s 2 of April some games and release date.

About as unexciting as the PS5 Pro reveal

It’s obvious they wanted not to show it to the world because they wanted good Switch Christmas sales.
They knew switch 2 units were in production and out and about for third parties and took the risk.

£36 at Currys UK free delivery for release day and free DK micro fibre cloth.
No moaning about the £50 price please now.

I think the hardware itself will contain zero surprises now.
Yes of course final cost and the all important release date.
So for me it’s almost a nothing show.
It’s all about the Nintendo in house big AAA games on release day or very near to it.
I mean that’s why I have a switch and probably a switch 2. And definitely not to play old PS4 ported games, which unfortunately the switch 2 will be full of and get renowned for.
Ideally it would be far better to have the new third party games releasing on switch 2 and at the same time as PS5 and Xbox series. But I have a feeling it will be one step behind again but maybe with some new AAA game third party support.

I used to think we will get a 3d mario at launch.
But have changed my mind to around October 25, if the switch launches say April 25.
This could be so original Switch owners don’t protest at not having a switch version as well.
I think Metroid 4 will be the release switch and switch 2 game.
Also going into Christmas with a 3d Mario switch 2 only will boost switch 2 sales and give them the perfect Christmas game as well.

See I have learnt to think like Nintendo now 🤣

And there was me thinking we would get a few more games from Nintendo pure in house AAA teams.
Since they don’t need to make separate games for a hand held console and that the Switch is 8 years old.
Don’t get me wrong had some amazing Nintendo own games on the switch but they been a bit lacklustre in producing this long generation of 8 years.
Also only one new Mario 3d platform game outside of the little bowser fury add on.
I hope their production rate in house improves with switch 2.

Oh dear.
I would have gone Mario Odyssey in the first year.
Then put TOTK on its year instead of what else is there.
Mario Odyssey was the only Mario 3d platform game the switch got, which in my opinion for eights years there should have another and that’s Nintendos bad. Ok Bowsers fury was a tiny taster.
Then TOTK took BOTW and took it up a notch and should be on the list.
No the best choices Nintendo Life 🤣.

Third party will be cool but probably older games from PS4 etc.
I really hope you are correct a new Mario 3d platform game is so well overdue.
It best be there in console release day.
But it would not surprise me if they hold it for about October 2025, which would so piss me off.
Because that is Nintendo, they will sell all switch 2 consoles day one and Mario 3d in October would have given chance for restock and a massive Christmas game.

Now far more importantly what big AAA Nintendo house release games are we getting.
It best not be Nintendo Land 2 and not much else or BOTW 4K, that just won’t do even more so as the true in house studios have been so quiet on the Switch recently.

It’s ok all is ok, someone has worked it out for me why UK don’t seem to be restocking Xbox consoles.
They are making room for Switch 2 shelf space 🤣

No one noticed in the UK how Xbox console stock is not being restocked both consoles.
Currys no stock online and in store.
Game no s stock at all only a few x.
Smyths toys no online stock at all, most stores no x or s stock.
Argos running low for delivery to certain areas.
Amazon from Amazon UK, no stock of any, advising maybe 1 to 3 months.
No trillion dollar company lets this happen by accident.
Why are Microsoft letting stock run dry.

Of course it’s all real and the games at the French outlet on line.
These leaks happen but console wise it almost leaves nothing to reveal or surprises now.

All I can hope for and the most important is a couple of amazing big AAA games for release day from Nintendo in house studios.

That would be the most disappointing if for release day we get a load of old third party games like RDR2 etc and remakes of old Nintendo games from Nintendo.

If I don’t get say a new big AAA 3d Mario or DK platform game on release it’s gonna be a let down for me.

Giving us BOTW in 4K is definitely not the answer.

The PlayStation 3 Move era was fantastic for these sort of games and we had a good few

Feels perfect to my playing Zelda echos on the big screen right now, looking great.

However the switch Pro controller is an absolute must playing docked.

I’m a 100% docked Switcher
So if it’s bigger I don’t care.
Just give more power so it looks better on my Sony A95L 65” TV and improved surround sound for my Dolby Atmos system.

And of course some bloody well dam big AAA games from Nintendo in house studios.

Metroid 4 will be on original Switch
And third party games that have released on other consoles already like the Batman just won’t cut it.

And why? It’s been 8 long bloody years for the Switch 2 and only one new 3d Mario platform from Nintendo studios on original switch.

If we don’t get one on console release, frankly it’s a joke and what else have Nintendo in house studios been doing for the last two years, on vacation.

I am about 10 hours into Zelda echo’s and how this game wasn’t GOTY or rated higher over Astro Bot and the Indy Jones game I will never know. Having played all of them.
The innovation in Echos and different strategies you can use, take Echoes above the other two more straightforward games.

Mario kart 8 deluxe about 64 million sold on Switch.

I’m really not sure what they are going to come up with to get gamers off MK8 and transfer over to MK9.
