Nintendo with switch 2 is definitely a luxury toy for the kids now.
Imagine the poor parents saving up for Christmas now.

This is why in the UK and probably the USA Xbox does ok with the series s and game pass.

I would switch 2 is about base PS4 at 4 tflops
Switch 2 docked 3tflops but allow abit more for modern tech compared to PS4.

The problem with switch 2, games have to run at the handheld mode of 1.7 tflops as well, so developers have to allow for the lowest common denominator.

I did not release the price jump until I read the article.
I guess Nintendo are making hay why the sunshines. As the old saying goes.

Would have been good if they had done a home console Switch 2 only version as well for about £250, it’s only a little 3tflop console really when docked.

The stagger cost for the pro controller at £75 is the wow one for me.
It’s not like it is at PS5 dualsense controller level with all the extras and analog triggers etc.
Also game prices as well.

Nintendo really creaming this one.

See your point there, but I bet they making good money on the Switch 2 launch price.
Back in the old days when they were trying to get noticed N64, GameCube and Wii more I bet they just broke even.

It’s a shame these games will possibly miss out in 60fps in Switch 2 especially when docked.

About another 1 tflop of docked power going from 3tflop to 4 tflop would have probably made the 60fps cut.

This game had lots of performance issues on initial release.
Hope it runs ok on Switch 2 and has a performance 60fps mode.

Like cyberpunk making about 30fps possibly 40fps only, I have a bad feeling that these newer modern games that need power will only get 30fps from third parties.

This is the only dodge thing with Nintendo compared to Sony and Xbox who will get these details right and let everyone know the exact correct information.

As where Nintendo sort of treats its gamers and fans like kids and children and doesn’t go into the detail of things.

I get that but you need both, simple and fun and detail for us that like the detail.

Yep best TV I have ever had.
And I did have an LG C3 and Samsung s90d, which are great as well.
But not truly magnificent like the Sony A95L.

What about all my over game Cloud saves I was going to port over to Switch 2.
I have about ten I wanted to do.

This needs sorting Nintendo, you are making switch 2 very unappealing, along with possible no VRR when docked as well.
I can always cancel my preorder and about 3 to 6 months until they get their act together.

Not like they have had 8 years to get this right.

Come on Nintendo get a grip, I was going to port my TOTK CLOUD save over to my Switch 2.
I do not want to start again. Then again Nintendo will lose out as they won’t get my £10 upgrade. Hang on I get it for free but what’s the point if I can’t bring my save over from switch CLOUD.

I really hope this is just a typo error, I pay for online and I definitely expect this to work.

Instead of keep having more directs, just focus on getting this correct and running.

Actually the only one out of the big three that does perfectly cloud saves is Xbox.

Not nice when you been waiting a year or so to preorder and you get an attack of DTs and it all goes pear shaped.
Then again DT has put tariffs on the UK and our trade with the USA is equal. Meaning we buy as much from the USA as we sell to USA in monetary value, work that one out.

I think it was on the video as an option, but nothing mentioned on here or in the video.

Nothing was really explained, also will it be 12 or 24 players on line.

Also again it looked like in the video two players can do this on the same switch, but nothing confirmed.

Well it would not confuse me having a home console version and would be a lot cheaper.
And the option would be great.

They would definitely sell many of them especially for those wanting a second home console that would cost around £250 ish to get those Nintendo AAA in house exclusives.

Let’s look at this another way.
You are being forced to buy an handheld version of a console Switch 2 with no home console cheaper version for £400 for 3.1 tflops of power.

Why didn’t Nintendo also do a home Switch 2 version for say £250. So others just playing at home docked could enjoy Nintendo games with a cheaper console home model only.
They are no angels Nintendo they are a cut throat business.

At least the PS5 at £430 has 10.2 tflops of power.

I have Sony A95L QD OLED and it is the smoothest I’ve ever since.
And I’ve had S95C, LG C3 and X95L mini LED.

Should have put a little effort in to make this full wide screen for modern TVs.
Very LAZY indeed Nintendo.
Such a great game and deserves wide screen and so do us gamers paying for it.

Running 120fps really is a waste of resource and time would rather stick at 60fps
When playing games on all the console the jump from 30fps to 60fps is amazing so smooth and responsive but the 60fps to 120fps if you spot it the difference at all is minor, it’s to do with the human and how it works it can only do so much.
That’s with the series x and PS5 so the switch 2 will be no different.
I think Nintendo are doing this with MP4 and MKW just to stay trendy with Sony and Microsoft, total waste of time.

I think the 3.1tflops of the switch 2 have gone into the 24 karts on track and the wider courses and field of view etc and some other minor look improvements.

Still wish Nintendo had done a home switch 2 version for about £300 would have been a great entry into the switch 2 and Nintendo games just as a home console. It maybe even cheaper than £300.
I only play docked and feel I am paying extra for the handheld side of the Swtich 2 that I don’t require.
They could have easily done this with the switch 2 pro controller as it already exists.

Also you would around £150 for a family of four to go to a theme park like Alton Towers.
And that’s just say 8 hours leisure time.

A game could give a family of 4 at £70 many more hours entertainment overall.

Most consoles are reasonably priced.
Though the PS5 and series x should have had a price reduction by now and the PS5 Pro is a little steep but they deliberately stuck 2tb ssd in it so you pay £100 for another forced 1tb of ssd memory else the console would £600 or less instead of £700, smart ole Sony.

As for the switch games I got the MKW bundle so that’s good.
DKB at £57 digitally sounds ok to me.
Will be interesting when we get a new MARIO platform game and Splatoon 4 to see they get priced at.

But we pay £1000 for a top smart phone or £4.00 for a coffee that’s gone in minutes or £50 for a football or concert ticket and that’s the cheap seats that is finished in 2 hours.

So us gamers are not doing to bad price wise overall.

Totally rubbish so much difference in what was said and definitely how and where it was said the situation.
Don said what he said right after a drubbing from Sony on how to share games and not having to be always online. That’s was funny and a middle finger to Xbox at the time.

Even to this day some want Xbox to fail, which they sort of have console wise.

What Doug said was about cost and alternatives to Nintendo games.

Anyway won’t make any difference to sales, not as much as this whole USA and Canada tariff business delaying preorders over there.

Got myself MKW bundle and pro controller.
Mentioned it on here and a few more gamers managed to get one. ☝️

The only thing I would say and I know some say it takes away the Switch 2 ethos.

But just a home version could have been made
In the light of increasing prices.
At say a price of £300, cleverly putting under the PS5 digital.

I maybe think it might happen with the switch 2. The switch 2 home maybe.

I would have preordered that version instead of the Switch 2 that I have pre-ordered anyway, but if after a year or two sales are slower than Switch, which I think they will be at switch 2 home could inject sales.

I actually stay away from the joycons overall anyway as I’m a docked gamer.
So mouse wheel means nothing to me and a total waste of product cost.

Gonna seem like 2 years.

My family pack has just come up for renewal.
So thought dam it and went the family pack with the full expansion.
Used my remaining gold coins so got it a bit cheaper as well.

So have the whole lot now ready for my preordered switch 2 MKW bundle.

I’m all digital and have BOTW and TOTK
and membership so will give TOTK a try on June the 5th.
