Re: Overwatch 2 Ditches The Number In Huge Overhaul, Switch 2 Version Announced

Notsoavid

I’m very thankful that Blizzard is finally going to give us a switch 2 upgrade. Im also thankful that they don’t appear to be winding down this game. I’ve logged a surprising number of hours on this game on Switch 1. It’s definitely one of the best competitive shooters out there in my opinion, but I fell off it because of the lack of Switch 2 upgrade.

Re: Disappointed In The Switch 2's Joy-Con Colours? Dbrand Has You Covered

@JohnnyMind I would vouch for the quality of their products (I used the killswitch case and have purchased skins from them). The bigger problem is how hard it is to apply the skin perfectly on the joycon. I used their skins on a pair of joycons in the past and my own human error left me with a wrinkle in one that I wasn’t able to straighten out. I would be cautious with purchasing skins unless you are particularly dexterous and willing to risk it.

Re: Poll: Which Call Of Duty Do You Want To See On Switch 2?

Notsoavid

I mean, I dont have a great love for the franchise, but realistically these games are primarily multiplayer experiences , are they not? If they aren’t bringing a unique experience to the Switch 2, then Warzone would be the most logical. I won’t be playing, but there are plenty of people who do.

Re: Nintendo Switch 2: All Confirmed Games & Release Dates

Notsoavid

Sounds like we need a Nintendo Direct soon! Mario Tennis is the only Nintendo published game that’s got a solid release date that Im interested in. Resident Evil looks good, so Ill probably pick that up, and maybe Dragon Quest VII reimagined, but I’ve already played through FFVII inter grade twice, so I dont think I need another play through.

Re: Talking Point: Our 2026 Nintendo And Switch 2 Predictions

Notsoavid

I’d like to see Nintendo craft a brand new game with a heavy online multiplayer focus and a strong social component. I know that is pretty vague, but I’ve been craving some light social interaction online the past few years, and I trust Nintendo to provide an atmosphere that is well designed to allow positive interaction whilst keeping people with severely unresolved personal problems from souring the community.

Re: Cronos: The New Dawn Is Getting An Easy Difficulty Setting In Early 2026

Notsoavid

The main reason I’ve steered clear of this game is because it was described as a “brutally hard” game. I want to play a normally hard game where at difficult points I may die 2-3 times and be forced to correct my strategy and adapt. I had my fill of 15-20 deaths in a row with silksong - not looking to immediately repeat that experience. At the same time, I wish they would use a label other than “easy” mode…feels like it’s kinda insulting.

Re: Fire Emblem Shadows Makes Metacritic's "Worst Games Of 2025" List

@nessisonett Sorry, I respect your opinion, but I feel justified in making a response. Fire Emblem Engage was an excellent game, and the characters were designed by Mika Pikazo - one of my favorite pop artists. I’m not sure if you are referring to just Shadows here, but the series seems pretty healthy to me.

Re: GameStop Hints At Another Playable Character For Resident Evil Requiem

So I played a little of the first resident evil on PS1 when I was a teen, and that’s the only Resident Evil experience I’ve had. This is going to be my first foray back into this universe in decades (the trailer was just too good and it completely sold me). Based on this article, it seems like things have come a long way from shambling zombies in Raccoon City…

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Metroid Prime 4: Beyond?

Notsoavid

I feel a little sheepish for giving a score at 7 hours into the game, but I’m pretty sure I’ve experienced a fair amount of what the game has to offer, and it is very good. Definitely agree with the 9/10 score given by this site. I’ve read some criticism that it feels very linear - which it does. However, I saw on article on Polygon that compares the game progression to a traditional 3D Zelda rather than a metroidvania, and that helped my gameplay experience - like, the most recent upgrade becomes the key to solving the puzzles of the next area rather than a heavy focus on backtracking.

Re: Kirby Air Riders Looks To Be Powered By Bandai Namco's New In-House Engine

@Kilroy I 100% agree. The racing was fine, but the city trial didn’t click for me. It just felt like I was racing around collecting power ups that I weren’t really able to identify and was unsure if they would even prove to be consequential all the while randomly exploding from attacks that I could rarely identify to the source of for five whole minutes in order to do a thirty second event. I’ll wait for a review on this one, hopefully the other modes are more ….well, racing?
