I feel like the weapon degradation system was a strong motivator to explore the environment, and the player was rewarded for exploring partly because of this system. Open world games are fun partly because there are things to go out there and find - weapons were a huge part of this.
I don’t know how much of a ‘demo’ this was. Maybe I played it wrong, but I didn’t encounter any combat - just a couple of simple puzzles. If the point was to show off the art style, then yeah, definitely liked it. A slightly longer experience would have been nice though.
I didn’t really love Three Houses. I do like social sims and visual novels, but the combo just didn’t work for me in a fire emblem game. I preferred my 3DS fire emblem experiences. Looking forward to Engage!
