I have a friend who's possibly looking into getting a Switch Lite and that Animal Crossing bundle will be perfect for them!

This really does have the potential to be the best in the series but tbh Mario Party is one of those series where nostalgia plays a big part in what makes "the best entry"

A Nintendo Direct? Unlikely I think, but I do think an announcement of some sort (game or system) is imminent

This looks soooo fun but I'm not quite prepared to shell out for a PS5 and never really have tbh.

@electrolite77 It can be played with all controllers! The only benefit you gain with playing with a single joycon is access to a few motion control minigames when playing the board game mode and some of the unrevealed side modes

You can probably fit about 3 pieces of popcorn in that party tray!

@WreckitRyan Yep, there's an 8 player co-op mode called Bowser Kaboom Squad although you can't play local co-op with it. Only online with friends/randoms or with CPUs
There are other modes yet to be properly revealed though so all hope is not lost yet!

On the Japanese website, where it talks about how many people can play each mode, it mentions a "Toad's Factory" mode alongside the "Rhythm Cooking" and "Flapping Adventure" but we've already seen those two in previous trailers.
I wonder what might occur in Toad's Factory🤔

I'm certainly not as big of a Sonic fan as some people are but I enjoyed the previous 2 movies a fair amount.

But watching this trailer got me very hyped which I wasn't expecting! I think the films are finally becoming more Sonic as opposed to a fast blue hedgehog in the real world, if that makes sense.

As the lines have become a bit blurred as to what constitutes a 'partner', I'm very intrigued to see what will crop up in the partner direct whilst keeping my expectations measured!

Interesting how they've paired it with Indie World...there's something about which I really like for some reason!

CeX is a far better store to go to for games imo, the prices can be a bit all over the place but the selection is much more interesting. Perhaps it's an unfair comparison as it's really a second hand tech store but hey it's still better than GAME!😂

It all went downhill for him when he got desperate last week and said a 2D Zelda remake could appear in the direct, having not been able to access Nintendo's website backend as per usual.
Even though he made it clear it wasn't his usual source and whatever, I think he knew his days were numbered and leaking his own source was just the cherry on top.

Having said that the earlier days of Pyoro were quite exciting with his cryptic clues but I think by this point, a lot of us were ready to move on and not have our precious directs spoilt.

I'll be playing Poochy and Yoshi's Wooly World of all things and also some Final Fantasy X this weekend!

Super Mario Party Jamboree is the one I'm probably most hyped for but Dragon Quest III and Mario & Luigi also looked really nice!

Never played either one before but after trying them both out, I can see why people love them and I found that Spyro is actually quite a nice palette cleanser for the (sometimes) ruthless Crash Bandicoot stages!
And yeah it was something like £23 for the both of them which was an absolute steal!

Looking forward to diving into them more

@HotGoomba I've checked the website and you can still play the game with a Pro Controller.
My guess is the mini-games which use motion/gyro will just be avoided when you're not using a Joy-con?

Seeing the word MATURE underneath the N64 controller made me laugh pretty hard for some reason!

Pretty good selection although hopefully we get DK64 and Smash Bros in the near future🤞

Yeah they have no reason to get involved in Summer Game Fest when their Direct presentations are better in every way for them.

Whenever I take a peek into a Summer Game Fest livestream it just reminds me how well paced Directs are in comparison!

@Banks I mean I certainly enjoyed it.... and I'm pretty sure the others did too although you wouldn't have been able to tell in the heat of the moment XD

On paper we played through them in the quickest way possible (200cc, 2x 48 races with the 'in order' setting on so there was no fumbling around in menus in between races) but it still came to about 5 hours.
Though I suppose we did have a "pizza pit-stop" halfway through haha!

I wouldn't say it dragged, 200cc probably helped with that. I'm a 150 guy myself and having it ramped up a gear made it quite intense with some of the shorter tracks feeling like they'd finished before they had even begun!
And yes, we also had our own CPU rival.....I don't think I'll ever live down the shame of losing to Donkey Kong at the end of the DLC leg!🫣

I think the general concept of Wonder has a lot more staying power than the NSMB series was ever going to have.

I would absolutely love a sequel to Wonder, if they have enough unique ideas to warrant it of course!

Super Mario Land is an odd omission. Perhaps even with its early-portable gaming charm, Nintendo just sees absolutely no value in it.
There's nothing tricky about it technically or licensing-wise so really there's nothing stopping it from being on there except from Nintendo actually wanting to promote it!

Mario Golf World Tour on 3DS would be my pick!
