Re: Nintendo's Excellent Pikmin Short Is Finally Available On YouTube

Nintoz

@1UP-HUSKY Humans cannot see Pikmin.

And I thought Nintendo were taking that concept to the extreme with the seperate Youtube and Nintendo Today! versions.
The general public can't see Pikmin but Nintendo fans can implying we, as Nintendo fans, are not human ahaha.
But now they're on Youtube which is lovely!

Re: Nintendo's Trademarking 'Virtual Console' Again, But Don't Get Your Hopes Up

Nintoz

I'm honestly fine with the NSO-model of distributing classic games. It was a bit painful in 2018 (as was the membership deal in general) but over the last 7 years it's blossomed into a very strong library.

Should they be available for individual purchase without a memebership? Absolutely, but if I had to pick between the two, I'd stick with the NSO approach.

Re: More Super Mario Galaxy And Super Mario Galaxy 2 Tracks Join Nintendo Music

Nintoz

@Polley001 That's actually really cool as it will be his first compositional credit since Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.

I mean the fact the new tracks sound so much like the original storybook theme should be a giveaway but it's still really nice that he came back after all this time. Hopefully he's supervising with the movie's score too!

Re: Video: After Six Wonderful Years, Zion Is Leaving Nintendo Life

Nintoz

Oh Zion❤, outside of how much you brought to the group dynamic and your fantastic documentaries on topics I don't think anyone else would dream of covering (looking at you Mario Paint!), you have always come across as such a... genuinely lovely human being!

You will be sorely missed and I hope that whatever you do next will be just as fulfilling.

Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Checking Out Switch Online's Virtual Boy Service?

Nintoz

As much as I love having a massive library of Nintendo Classics available on Switch and will always welcome these kinds of additions, this is just going too far for me right now.

If it was something like 'You need to have the new GameCube controller to play the GameCube games' then I would have probably invested in that not just because it would've been cheaper, but that I know I'll get many many hours out of the GameCube library...I can't say the same about Virtual Boy and the cost (at least for the more 'comfortable' option) makes that decision easier.

Re: Nintendo Direct September 2025: Every Announcement, Game Reveal, Trailer

Nintoz

There weren't too many things that got me excited. In fact the hypest thing for me was the Super Mario Galaxy Movie reveal, (I'm not afraid to say I did shed a tear. The music got me.) But looking at it objectively, there was a nice variety of experiences on offer. It's just unfortunate that Fire Emblem does nothing for me as a 'one last thing'. It was nice to see Koizumi though!

@canaryfarmer Ahaha hmm yes I suppose so. It really is the novelty of all novelties isn't it.

Re: Nintendo Direct Announced For Friday, 12th September 2025

Nintoz

@SneakyLink The 2021 Animal Crossing one was on a Friday. But yes they're pretty damn rare.

Very intrigued to see what their 40th anniversary content will look like. As I can't imagine how many 'new' things they have to announce. You've got your Rhythm Heaven and Tomodachi Life which we know next to nothing about. And then you've got things like Kirby Air Riders, Splatoon Raiders and Hyrule Warriors could also do with some new information.

That's already quite a bit as far as 1st party goes so I think we'll be looking at Mario for any major announcements.

Re: Nintendo Life Reader Survey 2025

Nintoz

Done.
An 'I have no plans to purchase hardware in the next 6 months' option for that question would be very much appreciated. I can't be shelling out for a 2nd PC!! Ahaha

Re: Former PlayStation Head Praises Nintendo For Being "In Touch With Their Fan Base"

Nintoz

@Coalescence Very true, Nintendo as a creative entity is one of the most level-headed AAA studios out there. Think of how often we hear "this is the first game in the X series in Y amount of years!", it shows how they not only think of profit (emphasis on the 'only' they are a mega-corporation after all) but also how to give their art the time and space it needs to blossom.

Although it's hard not to think of the Miyamoto 'games are products not art' quote but I'm still convinced there's more nuance to that than Imamura was letting on.

Re: Former PlayStation Head Praises Nintendo For Being "In Touch With Their Fan Base"

Nintoz

I think it's worth noting the distinction between being in touch with the fans and being in touch with consumers in general.
Think of the way Nintendo paces their Directs, the way Goldeneye was revealed, revealing the Director of Kirby Air Riders as a selling point.

Of course there are other scenarios where they've missed the mark but there's definitely truth in this statement before anyone writes it off.

Re: Gallery: Get A Closer Look At Nintendo's Gamescom 2025 Booth

Nintoz

Hmm I wonder where MP4 will slot in now?

Prior to the Partner Direct I had predicted September but I think that ship had sailed once we entered August.
I then pinned down November but now Kirby's nabbed that...although it could squeeze in between Pokemon and Kirby to act as a hardcore 'stop-gap' between two more casual-leaning titles.

Or it could have the last, last minute slot of the first week of December.
Idk where the hell they're gonna put Hyrule Warriors, maybe that will be next year??
