Re: Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown Rolls Out Free Boss Attack Switch Update

NinjaSyao

"Smaller" games like these always remind me that I used to absolutely love Ubisoft back in the Gamecube era.
None of that bloated open world stuff, or agressive DLC practises (I'm looking at you, Fenyx Rising!), just good single player games like the Prince of Persia franchise.

And they've still got it, based on how good this Prince of Persia and the Mario + Rabbids games are.
Heck! Rayman Origins/Legends were pretty darn great too.

Just wish they'd do these kinda games more often... v.v

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For The Knuckles Paramount+ TV Show

NinjaSyao

Was kinda fun in the first 3 episodes, goes downhill faster than Sonic can run through a loop afterwards.

Way too much focus on Wade and the humans from that point on, Knuckles is nowhere to be seen and the action is meh (we don't even get to see Wade do a "Flames of Disaster" move, even though there was a whole bit about him learning it?), cringe dialogue and the whole bowling tournament part with Wade versus his dad made my soul hurt with its stupidity.

(the low budget musical part was hilarious though and will be the source of memes for many years to come XD)

4/10

Re: Sonic Frontiers Latest Update Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

NinjaSyao

I wonder if this means the PC version will get updated too?
Got hit by the nasty "game plays at 1-2 fps" bug that has affected others too and now the game is literally unplayable. None of the possible fixes posted online have worked sadly, so I'm waiting on a patch to hopefully play it again.

Real shame too as this game is the most fun I've had with Sonic in a very long time, despite the jank and glitchiness, but Sega is just soo bad at coding their games nowadays v.v

Re: Warframe Cross-Platform Save Feature Targeting 2023 Release

NinjaSyao

@Ocaz

For Warframe it is actually. This game has different monetary systems for a lot of stuff depending on whether you're on console or PC.
Add a variety of other things to that like agreements with the platform holders and Tennogen designers and you get what's a real headache of a cross save case.

Warframe struggling with "spaghetti code" is another thing. Every single update of theirs has had a lot of stuff breaking over the years and cross-play has been a thing for over a year now, but it's still incomplete and messy so yeah... I can't blame 'em for taking this long with cross saves. They need to get this right!

I'm gonna wait a few months before migrating my account to avoid becoming part of the inevitable wave of people that lost their accounts when using this feature.

Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Update Now Live (Version 1.2.0), Here Are The Full Patch Notes

NinjaSyao

@Arawn93

Not impossible, just a chore once you get to the point of upgrading a lot of stuff to max and go deep into the whole building thing, which is a game in itself.
That's when lack of materials starts to rear its ugly head. And I'm a OCD item hoarder in games, so yeah...

I didn't use the glitch for most of my playthrough, but it did alleviate the grinding aspect of a game that imo, really suffers from being way too big for its own good.

Also, it's kinda pointless to argue about whether or not the glitch and the people that are using it is good or bad in a game that literally has the design philosopy of "play the game however the hell you want".

Re: Sonic Frontiers' Sales "Greatly Exceeded" Expectations

NinjaSyao

I played it for like 30 minutes at a friend's place and I was surprised at how much fun I was having just racing around and doing some platforming. Combat wasn't half-bad either and Sonic felt good to control for once O.O

I'm glad Sega wants to build on this success, because my first impression was the same as the reviews from a lot of fans: very fun, if flawed, game that is a great starting point for future Sonic games.

Btw, no I don't have the game myself yet. I'm waiting on all the free DLC to be released so I can 100% it in one go.

Also, the modding community is doing some really neat stuff with the game, even improving physics and momentum and stuff, so I've got plenty of things to try out when that time comes ^_^

Re: Review: The Knight Witch - An Intense Fusion Of Metroidvania And Bullet Hell

NinjaSyao

@joezilla83

Yeah, I've got 2 more rpgs on my backlog that I'm starting on now (Ni no Kuni 2 and Fire Emblem: Three Houses) and this one'll be right after that.

I do expect the game to be patched by that time. The issues mentioned in this review sound like relatively easy fixes and even if not by the time I get to it, whatever! I've experienced far worse in the past and still greatly enjoyed those games ^_^

Re: Review: The Knight Witch - An Intense Fusion Of Metroidvania And Bullet Hell

NinjaSyao

Was waiting for a review on this one, looked unique and promising in the trailers, before pulling the trigger as the other game I had my eyes on turned out to be kinda meh according to reviews (Alisha the oblivion of twin goddesses)...

Review reads like a 8 to me so I'll be downloading this one in the near future, although I will wait for a bit to see if any updates are planned ^_^

Re: Physical Switch Copies Of Bayonetta Are Returning To My Nintendo Store Later This Year

NinjaSyao

Yeah, this was a total disaster.

Got a nice Masquerade Edition sitting here, but I don't have the physical copy of the first game to complete that panorama thing that's inside... great job Nintendo! Not!

I'll register my interest, but I'm sure it'll go up out-of-the-blue again and sell out while I'm asleep, as usual. Been the story of my life with the N64 controller for over a year now >.>

Re: Where To Pre-Order Bayonetta 3 On Switch

NinjaSyao

And the page for physical edition of the first Bayonetta went online on their store yesterday and you already can't select the physical anymore...

What a disaster this is. Nintendo really needs to get its **** together >.>

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Update Now Available, Here's What's Included

NinjaSyao

This DLC was good, being able to save party formations is awesome, but it's definetly geared towards players who just started or are in the mid point.

Noponic Champion is a mediocre class at best that wants you to get knocked out multiple times to get max power, losing all aggro in the process, meaning it's a tank that needs time to get going and has a very hard time getting and maintaining aggro.

The only good part of the kit is having a break art with no positional requirements, but even that is not great as it means attackers won't get talent art charge for using it >.<
Final nail in the coffin is being obtainable at a point not too far away from the point where you can get Ashera. The best tank class and hero in the game!

Challenge mode is the same thing. Not challenging at all for people with endgame set-ups and is mostly useful for getting strong accessories early in the game.
I've also never cared for swimsuits in JRPG's so yeah...

Re: UK Charts: TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection Cleans Up On Switch

NinjaSyao

Good to see the Cowabunga Collection is doing well, it's a very fine collection and a collection actually including the Gameboy games gets a big thumbs up from me. Will be picking up my copy soon ^_^

Much better than that lazy Ninja Gaiden "Master" Collection I recently finished. They couldn't even be bothered to fix all the really bad glitches in Razor's Edge and that game even performs worse than on Wii U, what the heck?! o.O

A bit off-topic: anyone know what's up with the Bayonetta 1 physical release in Europe? Still can't find it in any store online and Nintendo UK tweeted about that version so it has to come here too, right?

Re: The Hardest Games On Nintendo Switch

NinjaSyao

Surprised not to see the Ninja Gaiden Master Collection on this list, yet Dread is and that is not an easy game at all sure, but not something I'd put on a "hardest games" list o.O

All 3 NG games are exceedingly tough on higher difficulties, even on normal they can be a challenge for anyone that's not a genre veteran, with Razor's Edge in particular being just unbalanced in a lot of bad ways.

Re: Nintendo Reassures Fans "More" N64 Games Will Be Added To Switch Online

NinjaSyao

@WreckitRyan

The game can be tedious and overwhelming at times, but it has so much stuff to do and personality and is just a very fun game overall.
I loved it as a kid and still do.

I also think that at some point it became the cool thing to do to hate on it, I don't know...
The first Yooka Laylee has that problem. Just try posting an article or something about that game and just watch the people come crawling out of their holes, to then start acting like it's the worst game ever and it murdered their moms or something XD
