Re: Atelier Dusk Trilogy Deluxe Pack Confirmed For The West

NinjaSyao

@Kalmaro

It's a very relaxing more classic turn-based RPG series with nice characters and great music. They're basically JRPG-light games: easily completed in 30-40 hours and 40-60 hours for 100%, nice for those of us who have too many 200+ hours RPG's in their collection already xd
Though technically, you could say that to get the full story experience you need to play the entire sub-trilogy and that equates to nearly a 200+ hour RPG anyway lol

I really enjoy these, though it's always best to wait for the inevitable DX releases with all DLC and new stuff included, than go for the vanilla versions (that DLC is VERRRYYYY pricey!!! O.O)

...But is there a physical version? Can't seem to find that info.

Re: "No Additional Downloads Required" For Physical Version Of Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection

NinjaSyao

If this comes physical to Europe as well (very unlikely as Capcom seems to really hate Europe when it comes to physical releases lately for some weird reason...), with a price tag that isn't ridiculous, I will actually buy it.

See Capcom, it doesn't take much effort to please people, and a happy customer is a paying customer after all, so please keep doing it like this going forward ^_^

Re: Microsoft Focused On Launching Ori Sequel Exclusively On Xbox One And PC

NinjaSyao

"Our plans with Ori and the Will of the Wisps is to launch exclusively on Xbox One and on the PC first, so we don't shoot ourselves in the foot with initial sales.
When those initial sales on Xbox and PC die down, we'll release it on Switch for added revenue."

That's what it sounds like to me atleast. Gotta take advantage of people double-dipping for portability after all xd

Re: Video: The "Impossible" Ports That Shouldn't Exist On Nintendo Switch

NinjaSyao

I'd say Warframe is the weak link of the bunch though in terms of performance.

I love the game and have played it almost nonstop since it came out, but I can't ignore just how freakin' terrible the framerate becomes once you go to higher level missions with a group (it takes a lot of time to get to that point, that's why reviewers don't mention it.)
All the abilities and flashes and explosions going off all the time is just way too much for the Switch to handle and it drops to the low teens almost nonstop, making it all a very stuttery mess. It's also the most glitchy game on the Switch by far...

It's the one game that has me clamoring for a Switch Pro (or the ability to migrate my savefile to PC...), just so I can hunt Eidolons without getting a headache v.v

All the other ports are bloody great though and hats of to Panic Button and the others for pulling those off ^_^

Re: Video: Digital Foundry's Analysis Of Cuphead On The Nintendo Switch

NinjaSyao

@kepsux

Agreed. Personally I don't mind bigger filesizes if it means shorter loading times, even as a loading times patch afterwards to save on cartridge size/costs. We can always use the archive function to save space on games we don't intend to play for some time.
Loading can really kill a game's fun factor if it's too frequent and long. The one thing I really dislike about Doom 2016 on the Switch is the very long loading I have to deal with every time I fire up the game for a "quick" level or 2 v.v

Back to the topic-on hand: really impressed with the Cuphead port on Switch. Great job development team! Will patiently await the physical release to have a piece of gaming history in my collection ^_^

Re: Warframe Gets A Huge Graphical Overhaul In The Plains of Eidolon Remaster Update

NinjaSyao

The thumpers are the main attraction imo. They allow for a constant source of rare gold mod farming like the difficult to obtain Auger Secrets.
They also drop all the materials you can get from fishing/mining so that's a neat bonus ^_^

I wonder how performance will be though... it's become more graphically intensive and the plains already ran very poorly as is >.<

PS

We also get the signature weapon buffs. Some of those buffs are really nice like the Astilla getting a bigger ammo pool when used by Gara.

Re: Yooka-Laylee's Demastered Nintendo 64 Mode Is Out Now On Switch

NinjaSyao

@LetsGoSwitch

Did a 100% run a while ago and must say: I really enjoyed my playthrough.
Sure, it's a bit rough around the edges and 1-2 puzzles could have benefitted from more clarity in design, but it's a really fun and charming game and just great for some relaxed item hunting (without being so relaxing that the game gets boring, looking at you Yoshi...).

People just overhyped themselves when it was announced, that's where most of the salt online comes from. It's a good game.

Re: Rhythm Game VOEZ Gets Updated With Yet Another Bunch Of Free Tracks

NinjaSyao

So glad I supported this back in the early days of the Switch!

Rythm games turned out to be not really my jam (I did get some enjoyment out of Voez for a short while though), but when a game gets supported this well for such a long time I just can't feel bad about splurging down 20 bucks on an experiment ^_^

Do need to try it again though now that there's button support. Maybe that'll be the trigger to make me love it...

Re: Cheeky Brawler Skullgirls 2nd Encore Lands On Switch This Spring

NinjaSyao

I hope we get a demo of sorts to try it before release.
Versus games are a bit of hit-or-miss case for me, as I really enjoyed my time with the Dragonball Fighterz demo (still waiting for a complete edition for that one), but got sick of Marvel VS Capcom 3 in like a few minutes.

The zombie girl with the snake in her head is one character I really want to try, she looks like tons of fun from what I've seen of her fightstyle ^_^

Also, we need a regular physical edition that doesn't cost an arm and a leg...

Re: Porting of Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice Being Handled By QLOC

NinjaSyao

If it had gotten a physical version, I'd gladly have double-dipped to support this awesome game... but as it is I'm good with my PC version.

Recommend it if you're looking for something quite different from your usual fare. It's not a happy journey you'll embark on, but one you'll definetly remember for a long time to come ^_^

PS

Very interested in performance reviews of this one.

Re: Atelier Arland Series Deluxe Pack Lands On Switch Bundling All Three Games Into One Package

NinjaSyao

@SwitchForce

My google translate doesn't seem to want to translate the product page so can't see it, but if Japan gets a physical edition this article should have mentioned it.

Need to keep my eye on it then for a price drop and to see if it has the English translation in it.
Still wonder what they were thinking with pricing it so high, but then again... Koei Tecmo has always been very greedy with this franchise, just look at the 100+ bucks Season Pass for the last Atelier game on Switch O.O

Re: Publisher THQ Nordic Acquires Carmageddon IP From Stainless Games

NinjaSyao

Great for them!

Now they just need a programming team that can make a port/new game that doesn't have a ton of glitches and/or technical issues, so I can get actually excited about these old IP's coming back...

Battle Chasers: Nightwar for example was a really fun game, but the technical issues really dragged the game down and that's a shame v.v

Re: Nintendo Grabs More Smartphone-Related Trademarks, This Time For Fossil Fighters, The Last Story And Wii

NinjaSyao

Meh! Give me a re-release/remake of Pandora's Tower and Xenoblade Chronicles 1 on Switch and then I'll get excited.

The Last Story was imo very overrated. Very short for a "big" JRPG, failed to make you care about most of its cast and most of the new and fun mechanics were criminally underused.
And don't get me started on the multiple deus ex machinas that happened in the final battle and that atrocious framerate during the final phase >.>

Pandora's Tower on the other hand I greatly enjoyed and would love to see a remake of it that polishes up the visuals and adds more meat to the rather basic hack & slash gameplay ^_^

Re: Final Content Update For Splatoon 2 Will Be Released Next Month

NinjaSyao

If Main Power Up increases the charge speed of the Hydra Splatling I'll be all over that weapon like a bee to honey!!!

Just please don't make Main Power Up increase the charging speed of the chargers... we don't need to revisit the sniper rifle hell that was Splatoon 1 v.v

Edit: like the upgrade of combining Cold Blooded and Bomb Defense Up into one as Bomb Defense Up is already quite useful in turning certain attacks from 2HKO's into 3HKO's like the explosions from Tenta Missiles and the Inkjet, and now it gets better.

Re: More Than One Million People Have Now Played Yooka-Laylee

NinjaSyao

I know what to expect from it: a good, but flawed game that'll tickle my nostalgia bone and give me good fun while it lasts. I don't need every game to be AAA quality to enjoy it and I never say no to a good collectathon platformer ^_^

I just wish LRG would hurry up with the physical edition already >.>

Re: Starlink: Battle For Atlas Starter Pack Sees Huge Price Drop Across UK And US

NinjaSyao

@Mortenb

Get the game used from someone for cheap, sell the toys if needed to, and wait for a price drop for the digital deluxe upgrade pack thingy.... that's the best solution I can think of.

Would've gone physical myself if it didn't have that huge ugly white download banner on it (I'm surprised nobody sofar is making alternative box art covers that don't have those on them o.O).
I'll grab it whenever the digital deluxe version becomes cheap, it's Ubisoft so it's bound to get heavily discounted.

Am in no rush to buy it though as Everspace is releasing soon and that's looking like it's the better space game ^_^

Re: Rumour: PlatinumGames Is Working On Three Switch Titles

NinjaSyao

@MysticGengar

It's a great game, but it does require patience, lots of practise and perseverance to get the most out of it.
It's a good case of a game following the "play by my rules, or get out!!!" design philosophy and it will take time until the game "clicks" with you.
It's kinda like the Dark Souls series in that way now that I think about it...

But it's a really fun and whacky game with tons of epic, over-the-top set pieces, a fun combat system and amazing boss battles. I think this first boss battle is a good example of what to expect (shameless self-plug incoming xd): https://youtu.be/D770HCdpL60

Re: Rumour: PlatinumGames Is Working On Three Switch Titles

NinjaSyao

@Muddy_4_Ever

As one of The Wonderful 101's most ardent fans (love this game to death) I can say even we acknowledge the game's flaws, we just love it even despite those things.

The reworks needed to change the sections that were build around the Wii U's double-screen mechanic are probably what's causing this much hinted at port to take this long.
It's one of the things I'm looking forward to, as those Wii U sections were kinda bad. And there's more I hope they'll fix/improve upon.

Re: Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aimé On Why The Switch Uses A Mobile App For Voice Chat

NinjaSyao

""Nintendo's approach is to do features worse than others, or not at all. We have a much different suite of inconveniences than our competitors offer, and we do that in a different and even worse way. This creates a sort of yin and yin for our consumers.
They’re frustrated about the lack of cloud saves for particular content and local back-up in general and wish we would deliver voice chat in a normal way, but Nintendo of Japan won't let us so I have to somehow spin this in a positive way".

Fixed the first paragraph for ya Reggie, I'll leave fixing the rest to the lovely people in this comment section xd

Re: Super Mario Odyssey Adds Conductor Wig And Outfit

NinjaSyao

Super Mario Odyssey is literally the 1 single Mario game that I don't feel like returning to at all after doing 100% last year.
It's just so shallow in its content and I wish they'd add some actual new stuff to it instead of just these lame costumes.
