To be fair, Mischief Makers is like the hidden gem amongst hidden gems. Very few people know of it, to the point it doesn't even show up on a lot of top hidden gems lists v.v
Would be amazing for it to get a remaster/sequel, but considering we're talking about a highly requested title here, I'm putting my money on their bigger stuff: something with Radiant Silvergun (still blows my mind this one isn't on Switch yet) or Sin & Punishment.
Not surprising in the least, as Namco Bandai has shown many times to be one of those publishers/developers that simply doesn't care about roll-back netcode.
Bummer for the JoJo fans though, as a former Smash Bros. player I can sympathise v.v
Not a fan of Atlus' whole "you can't do X or Z with your purchased game, because spoilers" thing they've been doing.
It's a small thing in the grand scheme of things, but finding out in Shin Megami Tensei V that I couldn't even take a few snapshots of the final dungeon/boss for my personal collection (I like to take snapshots of cool moments in games to look back to from time to time), left a sour taste in my mouth >.>
Also, it's dumb to disable a Switch feature to prevent spoilers as I can just grab my phone and take a picture and post if if I wanted to do so lol

Wait! Castle of Shikigami 2 is on the Switch?!
I loved that game back on the PS2 and I'm not even really into the bullet hell type of SHMUP's (more of an Axelay/R-Type/Sine Mora EX kinda guy where things are bit more slow paced and there's more of a focus on stage design then just a bunch of bullets everywhere), but this game was my jam as kid!
Thanks for the heads-up! Gonna download that immediately ^_^
Edit: is there like a specific name for SHMUP's that have you flying from left to right and are more stage design focused instead of bullet hell focused?
I'm excited for all the new tracks, but since I always play this game together with a mate of mine and he absolutely loves Coconut Mall I had to vote that one ^_^
"Rollback netcode starts in a unique way, treating both players inputs as local (effectively offline) and their opponents as a remote player. Rather than wait for an opponents data to arrive, each local machine "predicts" what their opponent will do next. If the prediction proves correct, then the game plays smoothly. If the prediction proves incorrect, the gameplay will shift to the correct gameplay state. Rollback can be adjusted to very small amounts of frames, so incorrect predictions still feel fast and smooth in motion."
Skullgirls and Killer Instinct are examples of how great the online can be if rollback is implemented well.
Bought it on pc a few weeks ago on sale and been having a blast with it, great arena fighter with a lot of depth to its combat.
It's quite light on extra modes though (only story mode and local/online matches. The training mode is garbage, so I don't count that...), so I'd recommend checking first if this is something you'll want to play competitively, because that's all you can do once you're done with the story mode.
A great RPG where almost anything is useful in some way and the game will constantly tell you to "git gud" in a good way. Had a ton of fun figuring out the tougher bosses.
Only complaint I have is that the story is nothing to write home about. It's an interesting theme and all, but the story is very barebones in its execution.
I'm not into GTA at all, but I can imagine how much it must suck for the fans to have the very first release (not counting the DS game) of this franchise on a Nintendo console be this bloody bad >.<
As someone who greatly enjoyed Liar Princess, really charming and sweet little game with some good puzzles in it imo, I'm really looking forward to this one.
I hope this game is a bit meatier though, Liar Princess only took me around 3-4 hours to complete and that's really short, even if the game was only 20 bucks.
(still irks me that the only way to get a physical copy of Liar Princess here in Europe is to import the Story Book Edition from the US and that thing costs an arm and a leg v.v)
Warframe has a lot of commands you need to type in the chat box for certain features like "/w <username> <message>" if that's what you guys mean by console commands?
@Turnips Nintendo has stated in a recent tweet that Europe will have 60hz versions available as well. You can choose whether you want to play the 60hz or 50hz versions.
Nintendo just screwed up with using 50hz footage for the orginal announcement and making things more confusing than it needed to be.
Astral Chain was great. Tough to master, but the cool stuff you can do is just amazing. It's also my favorite game on the Switch when it comes to presentation as everything just looks so cool ^_^
A 2nd game is pretty much a lock, the first did well saleswise and the story has enough room left for a sequel to explore, just a matter of when they'll announce it imo.
Interesting development in Germany. One of the store chains (I believe it's Aldi?) there is selling Switch units (didn't check for a date when they start selling), with a really big sign on it saying "price to be determined".
Started playing it recently and early impressions:
I can see why people find it unintuative, it's a more combo focused version of Valkyrie Profile 2's (I wonder who still remembers that game, jeez I'm old...) battle system and I struggled with that game back in the day.
Fighting feels more like trying to learn combo's in a fighting game really, now that I think about it.
Fighting games always have that problem where you have to put in a lot of effort before the combat clicks with you, even something like ARMS took 10+ hours before its combat clicked with me and I started having fun, and there's no guarantee it will ever click with you.
But, for that low of a price I'd say just give it a shot. In the end you are the best judge of what you'd like and you're tempted, so there's something about it that appeals to you ^_^
I saw Axelay in the thumbnail, immediate like from me!
It's the first shmup I've ever played, so I might be biased, but it's still the best horizontal one imo (to be fair, there aren't a lot of horizontal shmup and even fewer that I've actually played so XD). The vertical, more bullet-hell oriented, ones never seem able to keep my interest for long.
Hoping Axelay will come eventually, either through NSO or some kind of compilation/re-release/whatever. Would love a portable version of it.
Finally! Had been waiting for something like this for Ori! And a very reasonable price too, as the prices of the individual physical releases were a bit too high for my liking.
It's a great set of games, but this collection does have 2 issues:
1. No real mention about if this is the regular Sigma versions, or the Plus re-releases for the Vita. The Plus versions added some new stuff and brought back the blood and gore for Sigma 2.
A recently leaked Xbox Achievements list seems to say it's the Plus versions of the first 2 games, but Tecmo Koei has said nothing about this sofar.
2. The BIG issue with this one: no online multiplayer. It's hidden on the bottom of their product page, but there's no online co-op for Sigma 2 and no online co-op/versus for Razor's Edge.
This is a major blow for anyone wanting to 100% these games as the Tag Team missions (think Survival mode) are literally impossible to do with the braindead A.I. partner. The online co-op is a very big part of those 2 games' replayability as well.
This game's a 50/50 for me right now, I do want to upgrade my copy and try a regular control experience (liked the waggle swordplay, but hated how motion was used for pretty much everything, even when regular controls would have been more pleasant for that particular bit of gameplay >.<)......
But they didn't say anything about streamlining the experience and I really like this game, but boy! Does it have some excessive padding >.<
Capcom also did this for its Gamecube support in the Wii version of Resident Evil 4. Really annoying, but atleast the support is there.
The dual button set-up for Fludd felt a bit off to me, so I'm glad I can go back to the original controller for that game ^_^
Do they atleast do shipping to Europe? Importing it would cost more than a straight Europe release, but personally I don't mind biting that bullet with really awesome games like these.
At the very least I'm happy there's a regular physical release coming, because oh boy! That collector's edition is pricey! >.<
My hopes for a Pro Switch (I doubt they would do a drastic upgrade like more RAM, better GPU, etc that would make it a Switch 2) is them adding DLSS to the new chip, which would greatly decrease the blurriness of some games (loved DOOM on Switch, but it was a bit too blurry at times for my liking) and them unlocking the max power of the current GPU and CPU. They're downclocked heavily right now and it's surprising how much power people have been able to squeeze out of them with hacks. Also, maybe make the screen 1080p and slightly bigger using that dead space that's now being used by the bezels around the screen. I would be happy with the Switch being able to output docked performance even in handheld and it should be possible now without murdering the battery life ^_^
Higher CPU speed has shown to help a lot with loading times and that's my biggest gripe with 3rd party games on the Switch: the load times can get veryyy long sometimes. But this doesn't really need a new Switch, just Nintendo allowing more developers to max out the CPU during loading screens >.<
I got tired of the Switch version's long loading times and frequent crashes in Paladins, so I switched to the Steam version and did this solution:
Synched my Pro Controller with Steam and went to controller settings in Big Picture Mode. From here you can remap buttons and stuff.
Steam does recognize gyro inputs. Click on the middle portion of the controller image:
^ it's where the big xbox button is in the middle of this picture.
And from there you can set this input to be recognized as either a 2nd camera stick (the inferior option, but it's there for games that don't respond well to mouse + gamepad inputs at the same time), or as a mouse.
Play around with the mouse sensitivity settings for a bit and maybe set a button, like the screenshot button for example, as a toggle to turn gyro on and off and you're set!
Since this a general controller setting it works for all your pc games, as long as they don't throw a hissy fit at the mouse + gamepad combination like Paladins likes to do...
Apologies if my explanation isn't all that clear, I did this modification like years ago >.>
They ported this atrocity, yet Namco Bandai aren't sure if they should port .Hack GU (despite rpg's doing very well in general on Switch) to the Switch?
The Switch tablet itself also has gyro, but for some reason doesn't default to it when there's no gyro on the attached controller... So if the controller doesn't have gyro, you're not getting gyro in your game. It's dumb yes, but what can you do?
I'm just gonna wait until a split pad pro appears that has it built in. No point in waiting for Nintendo to fix the Switch's lackluster feature set, at this point it's pretty clear they don't care about that.
Looks nice, but make a regular black one that features gyro (still baffles me how the one made specifically for Daemon X Machina, a game that supports gyro, doesn't have that o.O) and you've got a buy from me Hori!
I think if they had shown the extra stuff from the Japanese one as well, and left out that wrestling game, people wouldn't have been as disappointed with the mini direct.
The 2nd Atelier Ryza game and that Sakuna game look really nice and it's great to finally see Shin Megami Tensei V properly shown. Might pick that one as my first game in the franchise to try out if it reviews well.
They said they would do multiple of these before the end of the year so here's hoping for 1 every 1-2 months ^_^
Was hoping somebody would show one of the last story bosses, coz that one was a fps nightmare with her and her minions constantly spamming magic, but I guess that would be very spoilery for a lot of people. Fps dropped to like >5 fps or something it felt like, so I really wanted to see if that fight is playable now. Guess I'll have to find out for myself this weekend ^_^
Will be interesting to see videos of this game with overclocked Switch units, as handheld seems to be once again the big ">.<" of the tests. XB2 was too blurry in handheld for my liking and just thinking about it has me tempted all over again to hack my Switch for that sweet overclocking.
I can fill in with a rather inventive game on the Wii (one I'd love to see given the remaster treatment, considering its biggest flaw was muddy low-quality textures... and the combat, besides the neat tug-of-war chain fights with bosses, was a bit too basic): Pandora's Tower
It never got the attention it deserved, the forgotten 3rd child of the Operation Rainfall family (Xenoblade Chronices and The Last Story being the other 2) so to say, and it was a really neat game with a good story and a great classical soundtrack.
Super Mario 3D World: probably happening in the near future if rumors/reports are to be believed. Game just screams "Switch" in its design and still one of my favorite Mario games. I actually enjoyed this game way more than Odyssey.
Xenoblade Chronicles X: it's the only one we're missing at this point, so why not? It would also be a great opportunity to fix a lot of the issues that the game had.
F-Zero GX: I know Nintendo has put this franchise to rest on their private graveyard, but still! It's the best game of the franchise, still looks great to this very day and there's been so much demand for it online that it's bound to sell atleast decently-well if ported. It's easy money and would make a lot of people very happy. Win-win Nintendo, get on it!
If they could add full 30 player online support that'd be bloody insane, but I don't know if that's possible. Are there online racing games with that many players at once?
Skies of Arcadia Legends: if there ever was an underappreciated gem, this would be it!
Wind Waker HD + Twilight Princess HD + Skyward Sword: easy money, these 3 games always sell. And I would love to have a better version of Twilight Princess HD that doesn't have the deadzone issue, that makes aiming rather difficult (it does have gyro support which I never tried, but it should have worked well without it anyway), and that fixes that tiny oops where certain secret scenes still have the gamecube textures xd
Baten Kaitos + Origins: hey Namco Bandai! You're only releasing old stuff on the Switch anyway, so why not a double pack of these 2? Especially Origins, as that one is bloody expensive nowadays, it never released here in Europe and I'm still hunting for an affordable copy...
There's plenty more to name, but this is what springs to mind for now.
"Hey, everyone. Some updated info on yesterday’s surprise Switch Launch.
April 28th was the original launch date for Indivisible on Switch. The build had passed QA and submission checks and was approved for release by all parties. Everything was set to automatically go live on that date. The build released was the planned launch build of the game.
A decision was made to delay the launch to early May to allow for a Day 1 update. This update will add a framerate toggle option, 1080 docked support, Roti, performance updates and localization changes when it goes live in May.
Unfortunately, the new launch date did not get changed within the release tool. This resulted in the game going live yesterday to the surprise of everyone involved, including 505 Games.
The early launch does have an impact on Indiegogo backers who have not yet received their digital keys. We are working to fulfill those keys as quickly as possible and have them distributed via BackerKit surveys. We are working to deliver keys earlier than our planned May launch date. An announcement will be made when keys are being distributed.
Backers of the physical version will get an opportunity to update their shipping address shortly. We expect 1-2 months delay due to manufacturing and shipping delays worldwide. Please check Indiegogo updates for more info.
We apologize for the suddenness of the launch and the impact it has on the game’s backers."
Backed this and still patiently waiting for my physical copy, but this is certainly a strange turn of events. Especially considering they responded to somebody on their forums a while ago with a statement that can be summarized as: "we're still working on the port, nothing else we can say at this moment".
Definetly didn't expect it to shadowdrop like this O.O But that porting company will have some explaining to do, I wonder who it is?
And to make things even more sad: the netcode of ARMS is actually quite good. As long as both players have good connections it plays smooth, even in the worst cases I've encountered it's still very playable. Ultimate's online, on the other hand, is pure garbage no matter who you face v.v
How Nintendo can screw up so immensely 3 times in a row with the Smash franchise while getting it right with ARMS in one go... it's just baffling.

Steam does recognize gyro inputs. Click on the middle portion of the controller image:
https://ibb.co/4d0pggY
Re: Review: Jump Force Deluxe Edition - A Textbook Example Of Style Over Substance
@TG16_IS_BAE
They ported this atrocity, yet Namco Bandai aren't sure if they should port .Hack GU (despite rpg's doing very well in general on Switch) to the Switch?
Namco Bandai is a weird company sometimes...
Re: Hori's Pac-Man Split Pad Pro For Switch Is So Gorgeous We Want To Gobble It Up
@MasterJay @BigJoeCool
Re: Hori's Pac-Man Split Pad Pro For Switch Is So Gorgeous We Want To Gobble It Up
Looks nice, but make a regular black one that features gyro (still baffles me how the one made specifically for Daemon X Machina, a game that supports gyro, doesn't have that o.O) and you've got a buy from me Hori!
Re: Video: Every Switch Trailer From Japan's Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase
Re: Random: 8BitDo's Xbox Cloud Gaming Controller Sure Looks Familiar
Still waiting for them do a better version of Hori's Split Pad Pro (if only it had gyro and a more general black color scheme v.v).
Re: Early Tech Analysis Of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition Reveals Frame Rate And Resolution
Re: Monolith Soft Explains Why Xenoblade Chronicles On Switch Contains A New Epilogue Story
@Kalmaro
I can fill in with a rather inventive game on the Wii (one I'd love to see given the remaster treatment, considering its biggest flaw was muddy low-quality textures... and the combat, besides the neat tug-of-war chain fights with bosses, was a bit too basic): Pandora's Tower
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifmeGV1AYrU
It never got the attention it deserved, the forgotten 3rd child of the Operation Rainfall family (Xenoblade Chronices and The Last Story being the other 2) so to say, and it was a really neat game with a good story and a great classical soundtrack.
Re: Nintendo Expands The Switch Online SNES And NES Service With Four More Titles
Tetris Attack/Panel de Pon and Operation Logic Bomb are 2 of my favorite SNES titles and Wild Guns looks interesting. Great update this time! ^_^
Re: Random: "Games I Want Ported To Nintendo Switch" Twitter Hashtag Goes Viral In Japan
What I want to see:
It's the best game of the franchise, still looks great to this very day and there's been so much demand for it online that it's bound to sell atleast decently-well if ported.
It's easy money and would make a lot of people very happy. Win-win Nintendo, get on it!
If they could add full 30 player online support that'd be bloody insane, but I don't know if that's possible. Are there online racing games with that many players at once?
Especially Origins, as that one is bloody expensive nowadays, it never released here in Europe and I'm still hunting for an affordable copy...
There's plenty more to name, but this is what springs to mind for now.
Re: Indivisible Is Out Now On Nintendo Switch, But The Developer Isn't Happy
There's been an official update on their site about what happened here:
https://indivisiblegame.com/early-release-update/
Re: Indivisible Is Out Now On Nintendo Switch, But The Developer Isn't Happy
Backed this and still patiently waiting for my physical copy, but this is certainly a strange turn of events.
Especially considering they responded to somebody on their forums a while ago with a statement that can be summarized as: "we're still working on the port, nothing else we can say at this moment".
Definetly didn't expect it to shadowdrop like this O.O But that porting company will have some explaining to do, I wonder who it is?
Re: Frustrated Super Smash Bros. Fans Get #FixUltimateOnline Trending On Social Media
