I don't see why they can't give us a free Switch version. I would have given it a go for that. Ah, well. Not a massive loss by the sound of it. Not a fan of the need to buy more and more to experience the full game. A DLC after the fact is one thing, to give new life or expand upon what came before, such as the upcoming Kirby Forgotten Land one, but don't launch it at launch with DLC to restrict the true experience behind pay walls. This could be free for those with NSO expansion pack.
@Unffclcntrllerpd Yes, it is a fantastic game indeed that never seems to stop updating with bits Mat Dickie adds to it! Growing up with the THQ games, it captures that feel well. He really is a one man army for what he achieves with his games. And thank you! 😁 As a wrestling and Nintendo fan, as minor role as it is in the grand scheme of things, it is still a career highlight for me.
I am good. 3 Mario Party games on NSO and I imagine the Gamecube versions might grace it at some point, or the GBA version even. That is enough for any Mario Partying for me. I would only be playing alone anyway.
Nintendo have been sorely underserved since the Gamecube on the wrestling front. How does the actual controls feel in comparison to the THQ N64 games? Is it more like the ACCLAIM games? I enjoyed SVR on WII, think it was 2009, despite it being a very much lesser version than the PS3 game.
@puddinggirl Yep! 😁Nintendo games do indeed have that special effect that I can't quite pinpoint. Aside the fun, there is a soul soothing magic to them.
Very interesting. Not sure how old she is, but this is her first credit on IMDb for a game/series/film. As others have said, I think her stock will rise very quickly and her credits will multiply from here.
Indeed, I thought it was Kate Higgins doing this one too. Impressive take! Presuming adult Pauline appears again, I wonder who will voice her going forward?
No, but really. I am actually interested. Loved Danger Mouse as a kid. Had a music cassette tape that I would listen to nearly every night with 2 stories on it. It was that, and we would alternate with my brother's Spider-Man tape. I don't know why it was every night, but we never got bored of them.
Alexander Armstrong is an excellent actor. Though I have not seen the revival series, I am still interested in keeping an eye on this one.
A Yoshi game please and thank you!😁 Hope so. Been holding off buying games for a while till they did the next big Direct so I might have a better idea of this year.
@glennthefrog I was not a fan of Seth Rogen's take either, but found it bearable enough. Fred Armisen as Cranky though? That really took me out. I just could not link that voice coming from him! It felt like it belonged to another character entirely for me.
Aw. He was wonderful. He also really embraced that people loved him for being Prof. Oak. He was a stage actor too, and loved that younger cast members would often approach him to ask about it. He would often take part in videos for Youtubers to provide the voice too. An iconic part of many Nintendo Lifer's childhoods, I am sure.
Transferring everything from SW1 takes some time, which is understandable given the volume of data, but since then it has been great for me. Definitely better than SW1.
@Jhena Thank you! Big yes to both. Heavenly is a great description for SOM music and Child of Light is indeed like a living moving painting you can control!
@The_Nintend_Pedant A good point. Neither do people really say they have written a product or filmed a product for cinema now you mention it. Yet, for games, the phrase somehow fits a little neater in my mind. Funny that. I think video games are just very unique in this fashion as a medium. To me, anything that inspires one or holds a deeper meaning in some fashion makes something art. As others have said, the definition of art is likely to be unique to each and every one of us.
Video games were hugely influential to me going into voice acting, with video games being a speciality for me, continuing the cycle of creation inspiring creation I guess!
@Jhena Yep. For me, Secret of Mana is art. The music, folklore, story, and thematic feelings continue to inspire me and touch my soul. Another one I would cite is 'Child of Light'. For me, if it inspires someone or holds deep meaning, then it can be art for them. We can't say it is not. It just happens to have been something that people were paid to make and then sold. That is the world we live in, no getting around it. These cost a lot to make. The fact it has monetary value does not mean the person responsible, be it a programmer, musician, or sprite artist etc etc, had no passion or personal meaning behind what they infused it with.
Anyway, good and interesting discussion with plenty of good points from all. 🤗
I might wait for Kirby and The Forgotten Land DLC first myself and see how I feel after. I know that is long way off still, but I think I need to assess whether this game will overwhelm me or not from the feedback. Just not too good with games that are toooo big. It is why I struggle with open world games. I still think it looks amazing and so pleased people are excited for it. 😊
As others have said, you can dislike the update, but this surely does not erase ALL good points of the game you liked before?
That would indicate the 1 and only thing you liked about the game was the race structure? Not the music, feeling, graphics etc etc.

@Jireland92 This. This I can accept. Yes. We will go will that. I feel better now.
Re: Random: Don't Worry Folks, Nintendo Says Mario And Peach Are Just "Good Friends"
I don't believe you, Mr. Nintendo. Why did you ruin my weekend?
They are. It is just....a secret. Or something.
Re: Random: DK Enthusiast Breaks Switch 2 In Bananas Spray Painting Job Gone Wrong
Yes, yellow would have been a nice throwback, but are you looking at the cart while you are playing? Stick it in, close the hatch, enjoy.
Monkey see monkey DON'T do this.

Re: Gender Split & Average Ages Of Japanese Nintendo Players Revealed Via New Survey
@1UP_MARIO So true. 🙂
As a complete aside, one of the very few species, aside humans, that play into adulthood and beyond are dogs.
Little to do with this, but just something I always find interesting.
Re: Gender Split & Average Ages Of Japanese Nintendo Players Revealed Via New Survey
Also, yes, I am as surprised as others that the age average is in the 30s. Well, I feel seen. Haha.
So much for Nintendo being the kiddies choice!
Re: Gender Split & Average Ages Of Japanese Nintendo Players Revealed Via New Survey
Kirby is the unifying factor in all this. Everything is Kirby and Kirby is everything.
Re: Poll: Has Donkey Kong Bananza Made You Feel Ill?
Ooh.
This actually puts me off buying. I do. Badly. Don't do well on buses and cars. I am reading a lot about this. How strange!

@Henchdog 😯Shocked Pikachu face.
Re: Pokémon Is Teasing Something Ahead Of Next Week's Showcase
HEY! YOU! Pikachu....for NSO Online...if you have SW2.
Hey, it has a microphone. 😁
I don't actually expect it, but all the other Pokemon N64 games came to it and we have the hardware for it...
Re: Rumour: A Nintendo Direct Is Set To Take Place Later This Month, It's Claimed

@NicolausCamp Ah, interesting. Thanks. Shame, sounds like one I would have enjoyed co-op with my brother as we loved the megadrive game.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Disney's Magical Quest 3 Starring Mickey And Donald (GBA)
Oh, so this is not a port of Land of Illusion on the Megadrive? I have never heard of this on the Snes otherwise.

They can be both.

@JohnnyMind Haha. No, it is cool. Just did not compute for a second. It is a good logo. I will look up the channel on Youtube in that case.
