@LastFootnote 🤣 Wario needs no date though. He was not even in the announced pecking order of initial GC titles. True to character, he just showed up and barged his way ahead of the queue. Hopefully he will do so again soon with more!
@NintendoWife You were a better gamer than I! I also got this for a Christmas, I can't have been more than 5 or 6. I really am not sure if I ever beat it! Time to put that right
I’ll never forget how we got Sonic Mega Collection, complete with an ONLY FOR GAMECUBE logo in the corner, only for Sega to later release Sonic Mega Collection+ for Xbox and PS2, which had all that and then some.
In my head, even if a different company, us getting the better version of this is the universe giving Nintendo fans reparations🤣 .
Are there save states as well? I know most of the games are short, but I would like to savour them a little. I read on a previous review (not for Switch) that there was only 1 save state per game. I didn't really know what they meant by that. Not sure if I ever beat Ducktales as a kid, but did enjoy it! Rescue Rangers was a fav my brother and I played over and over and over. Still have the cart. Never played either sequel the game got. Goof Troop is a solid solid banger. It had no right to be that good! They really went out of the way to do something different and bloody well. Agreed, better in 2 player though, but still fun.
@ToniK Everytime you think you have beaten Brothership, or MUST BE near the end, it just keeps adding to it! Despite that, I kind of miss it. Stockholm syndrome, maybe. Hopefully it is not the last Mario and Luigi game we ever see! 😊
@Red_Silurian Same, sadly. Because this means you can't complete the pokedex without knowing people locally with the opposite copy, right? Or no? I suppose that fits the old-school vibe, but it’s not exactly convenient!
Probably being thick, but does this mean you can't complete the pokedex by trading if you don't know anyone to play wirelessly local with? But you can somehow via HOME?Or no? Sorry. I don't really get how HOME works.
@Jeronan Is it 50? I always thought it was 33 or something? That it was also owned by Game Freak and The Pokemon Company? And that was why Nintendo do not have complete say over things. You may be right though!
@Nool Ah, thank you. Thought so. I was so sure I did have it, but then as I read it did not get a US release, I was starting to doubt we had it in Europe and I never did!
I am still SUPER interested in this one! But what a shame there is no online for random pairings. Still, I had 1 and 2 on the Snes as a kid so have a lot of fondness for it. Did we at least get Number 3 in Europe? It seems familiar to me, but then all of the games pretty much play the same. 😁
Interesting, another week with no clear winner thus far and lots of different games so far it seems. Lots of diverse choice 😊. For me? More Super Kirby Clash! Up to 580/900 hero quests complete. I love it so much! Probably a little more Balloon Kid too (NSO).
@Erigen The sad part is, it’s already the Switch 2 edition, so there won’t be any extra convoluted, lengthy title coming. Though, that might be only Nintendo themselves who like doing that. 😁
@Simu001 The cardboard thing is a lot cheaper, but obviously not quite as grand. A shame there is no way for it to be played 2D, but i guess it defeats the point of it. Will give this one a miss myself.
More Super Kirby Clash! In just three weeks, I’ve somehow logged 40 hours, completed around 450 of the 900 hero quests, and levelled up to lv 63—all without spending a single penny on microtransactions. You will always find people to play with too. Again, for a free game it is really really good.
I will also play more Balloon Kid (NSO). I am about half way through that game now. It is a fun one to breeze through.
Have a great weekend everyone whatever you are doing. 😊
I know most of these games would be easy enough to play through gameplay wise, but part of the charm of Goemon, for at least limited amounts we got in the West, was the dialouge and insane stories.
I will just wait and see if we get a Western release.
Super Bomberman! I was hoping we'd get this in some form eventually. All banger games, if you will. Also, this gives me hope for a Goemon Nintendo collection too!
I have never played the game. It will be all new and shiny for me. I figured the new extra multiplayer wouldn't be for me, unless I can play with random people online? But as someone who kept putting off getting it, I think I will enjoy this one. 😁
There were 3 actual stand alone stores left? 3? Sad.
I think there’s one in my town, though it might be sharing space with another business. I can’t tell where the game store ends and whatever’s on the other side begins. One side is the shop filled with Funko Pops, backpacks, a few shelves of games, and some phones for sale. The other side seems to have a bunch of gaming PCs in a darkly painted room, all linked together—maybe something for e-sports or a similar setup. I’m not really sure if it’s all part of the same place.
Either way...we knew this was coming. They did nothing to save themselves.
What is weird about this, aside from the game 😂, I feel Jesters, as in a royal entertainer to the crown, are more a British thing, surely? Did they ever have them in America in some form? Genuine question.

Re: Best Pokémon Spin-Off Games Of All Time
I think I am the only one who prefered Pokemon Stadium 1 to 2.
I found the 2nd one too difficult, especially playing on NSO with rental 'mon. 😥

Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's Virtual Boy And GBA Library With Three More Titles
@rvcolem1 So, if we download the Virtual Boy onto the Switch, we can still get them to load and start, even if it’s under less-than-ideal conditions?
Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's Virtual Boy And GBA Library With Three More Titles
Awesome. Loved the remake of Mario vs. DK. Love these kind of games. I have nearly finished Spanky's Quest and was wanting another puzzler platformer.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (28th February)
More SUPER KIRBY CLASH. 😁
Enjoy the rest of your weekend all!

The NA/EU one is iconic, but the Japanese one is interesting! Went with NA/EU.

Re: Pokémon FireRed And LeafGreen Officially Revealed For Switch
@Torakaka Oh. Boo. Lol. On this occasion, I don't want the feature. I liked the pressure of making the right choice in Pokemon Blue!
Re: Pokémon FireRed And LeafGreen Officially Revealed For Switch
I presume it won't have rewind/save states? In a way...I would prefer that for this. I know you never have to use them, but when they are there...
That said...I sure wouldn't have minded if they were free on NSO though!

NA/PAL for me. That was the one I had on the Snes. I remember my Mum got it for me as an Easter present. Very unexpected. ❤

"Super Mario Bros. Wonder - Switch 2 Edition + Meetup In Bellabel Park"
Remember when Sega where clowned upon for the extended title of 'Sonic 3 & Knuckles'.
It’s practically the CliffsNotes of gaming titles at this point by comparison!

@Daimando Alas, as is stands, you need one or the other. You have to buy the cardboard or full headset to play.

Re: Konami And M2 Announce New Goemon Switch Collection, Here Are The 13 Retro Titles Included
@AlexanderDaniels
Yes! Goemon needs to be just as wild and unapologetic as it is in Japan. That’s what makes Goemon, well, Goemon.

As others have said, the exclusion of the N64 titles makes me think they have a deal with Nintendo for NSO on those.

Oh, i so hope we get this.

Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's Game Boy Library With Two More Titles
Balloon Kid is a fun game! On level 3 now. Looks like not a too long game at 8 levels, but sometimes you don't want one that is an ever lasting slog.
Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's Game Boy Library With Two More Titles
@wazlon Oooh. Hopefully soon. Sure they will come in due course. NSO is Kirby Central! 👌
Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's Game Boy Library With Two More Titles
Nice! Never played either, aside the Yoshi Cookie on NES, which is basically the same, I think? Either way, I will give both a go!
Re: Preview: So Far, Super Mario Bros. Wonder On Switch 2 Isn't Making A Great Case For Itself
I have never played the game. It will be all new and shiny for me.
