Wario and Mario! Such a great pick. I’ve never played it, of course, but it looks like something I’d really enjoy. Haven’t tried Sw2 mouse controls yet, so wish me luck!

2-4. Really depends. I do play a lot of NSO, so don't always feel the need to buy new.

@Pillowpants It feels a bit too chaotic for me, and I don’t think I could keep up with it. I really enjoyed the strategic planning and sweating to make the right moves while deep in a cave or base, running low on supplies and Pokémon. In the games before you could just access all your Pokemon anywhere anytime, at least. I’m sure it will be good, but the battles honestly put me off!

I don't feel the need to do it again myself, but anyone experiencing Mario Galaxy 1+2 for the first time is in for a treat! That said, those replaying them will enjoy it too!

Sweet Carol really intrigued me from the first trailer, but sad to say that the actual gameplay footage video of someone playing for ten minutes made it seems PAINFULLY slow and rather boring. Will wait for the NL review though.

@Wewewi I don't know the exact numbers, but it is buttery smooth. Nintendo Life did do an article where it mentioned hidden Switch 2 upgrade games and it was one mentioned. There are a handful that have had quiet under the hood improvements, but the companies didn't see fit to mention!

But yep, the transition from battle to field is seamless. It is very noticeable how much better it plays.

@Samalik - Makes a really noticeable difference. I am surprised they didn't make a fuss over it. Just sort of quietly massively made it perform better and, I don't think, made any mention of it!

This all being said, I still prefer the Snes version. I can't quite explain it, but it feels more magical and mysterious to me.

Peachy. I absolutely loved it. If you're a fan of Kirby or Yoshi, this one is definitely for you. I'd be thrilled to see a Switch 2 upgrade with a few more stages, and if that happens, it better be called Princess Peach: Showtime - Encore!

Looks to be a pretty even split so far. For me? I went with Europe/NA. Shows more what the game is about. Nothing wrong with the Japanese cover, but it looks like a movie DVD cover, not a video game.

I was playing some Klonoa on GBA through NSO. Such a lovely game! It's like a mix of Wario Land 4 and Mischief Makers.

😆 So, true...probably. Baloo is such a hypocrite. He was all like, "Don't join the man village and work hard!" and then turns around, stops loafing, and takes on a stressful air cargo job.

Cost aside, I am a bit worried it will still cause headaches. I am not sure if it has been confirmed that it won't....as that would be acknowledging the problem of the first system! So, a pass for me, I am afraid.

Kirby and Forgotten Land DLC + CHIBI-ROBO!

Done the main extra level/starry collection/boss beating in Kirby, but still a few figures of the 2nd collection to find. Plus, the new Arena mode too.

Chibi-Robo is dragging a bit at this point, as not always clear where to go, but I enjoy it when making progress! I need to find the leg for Giga Robot to help the aliens (a weird plot twist in an already weird game) but not a clue where to go next.

Hope to clear at 1 of these 2 so I can be free to focus on the GBA titles coming next week. Happy gaming all!

@BigRed40 I love Short Hike. I think about it often. My total time in the game must be little more than 5-6 hours, but it stays with you.

Think the Gameboy colour/GBA/PSX was were it really started to churn out. Spongebob games, Fairly Odd Parents, Rugrats, Doug etc.

Feels like they could have thrown something in from there!

I don't care if it takes under an hour to beat. It is the bomb. There were so many R+S games on the SNES, most bad, but this Mega Drive one was just the best. Heavy Co-op emphasis. Loved playing with my brother. Would be tempted if they did an update and it got added.

Seriously, why was this the only Ren and Stimpy game that thought about 2-player?

Though, as others have pointed out, there were many many Nick toon games in the 16 bit/32 bit era. The Gameboy colour saw a lot too, I think. I don't know how the rights work...but surely they own them? Feels like there are a few more they could easily add to this.

Jim, you made me realize I’ve never actually beaten it! I’ve had it on the NES since I was about six years old. I got to World 8-4 both on this version and the All-Stars remake, but the maze of pipes always tripped me up. I tried again on NSO a few years ago and ended up stuck in the same spot.

So, inspired by your article, I gave it another shot and succeeded this time! I totally agree—it doesn’t feel like it’s 40. There are so many NES games released years later that feel much more archaic and dated.

It is a classic for a reason.

Though, I will always prefer Mario Bros 2. That was my first ever video game aged 4. That I beat many times and revist often 🤗.

More of Kirby and The Forgotten Land DLC! Also, more Chibi Robo! But the poll did not seem to work for me this week doing more than 1 option. Loving both these games. Sort of thought we would have Mario Sunshine for this weekend, but no matter. Plenty to do here still in these games! Have a good weekend everyone!

I think I liked Bubsy 2 because of the co-op mode. That was my criteria for a lot of games back then. Not a great game though, but an ok one. The first one was just so frustrating.

Stupid question...but as this is the boxed charts...can you still buy PC games boxed? I am not a PC Gamer, so not really clued up. I thought it had basically been replaced by Steam? Just so many new computers don't even have CD Rom drives now.

Was the woman a character in the game? I remember it being odd seeing that ad/box art, as I don't recall what her relation to it was.I prefer the NA version, but neither one gives much of a clue about what the game is about.

Off to see the Conjuring: Last Rites at the cinema shortly, but will play some more Kirby and The Forgotten Land DLC & Chibi-Robo too! Happy weekend everyone.

Has Nate ever hinted at who his source at Nintendo is/how he gets the info? I presume that he has connections in some secret way? Hopefully turns out right. I think we need a good mixed one with all kinds of games from Nintendo themselves! I think these ones are the most exciting.
