Huge WWE fan, but not bought a wrestling game since SVR 2009 on Wii. Obviously, they were absent from Nintendo consoles for a long while, but just a bit worried I won't like the style compared to the THQ/AKI N64 games. Fine if there was a physical version I could sell if I didn't, but it is download/code in the box only.
And, as others have said, they release a new one every single year. That, and them being microtransaction riddled for the 'full' experience puts me off. Still, I will watch with interest and see how it shapes up. Good that it will hit SW2 at the same time!

I was going to say this seemed a little too on the lil' old furry nose, and Nintendo might take umbrage with it ala Palword, but then I realised it was on Switch!

@Bass_X0 I still love that they did that for THAT game. It is so on brand Wario to just barge in and not wait his turn. Not sure if that was intentional, but I found it funny.

Hmm. I am unsure. Perhaps a long way down the line, when they have at least put out the remaining original announcements, but soon? Hm. Then again, they did just put Wario World out there ahead of the pack with no warning!

@CupidStunt It is a Switch 1 game. No word on a special S2 edition, as far as I know.

Both are very nice, but PAL for me. That was the SNES box art we had in the UK too, so it was one I had.

@Sonicka Ahah! The Marxio Bros. Yes, classic. Ah, yes! Lightfoot and Porker would be fun. Sadly, I feel STC (UK) was very much it's own market, where the USA ones seems to have more world wide awareness.

It's not remotely 'deep cut' until we get Megadroid, the 'Editor' from Fleetway's Sonic The Comic (UK version).

I am playing more SUPER KIRBY CLASH. It is in my top 5 Kirby games now. Only properly started it last week and done 20 hrs on it already. Love it! So fun. Very active online community to this day. You will always find someone to play with. Done nearly 300 of the 900 hero missions so far! Yes, there is a lot of content here. A stupid amount for a free game even! Have a lovely weekend all. 😁

@ATMVF Ah, that sounds pretty good then. Yes! I don't actually have the game at all yet. Kept putting it off as a 'maybe later', so I would still have the main content too. Would likely go the route of buying a cheapish 2nd hand SW1 cart and upgrading it.

@ATMVF This is what I was not sure about. If it is local only, I will never get a chance to use it. That would be a shame, as it seems the whole concept the SW2 version is based around. If you can do match ups and play with random people online, that sounds a lot better. I suspect the former though. That leaves the Toad training challenge and Koopaling mode for single players, I think?

Wowzer Bowser. This is an impressive free update. Really going beyond just sprucing up graphics. Not that 'just' doing that would be a little thing, as it no doubt requires a decent amount of time, skills, and effort. As others have said, maybe there are a few others that might get a little extra! Princess Peach Showtime would be a nice one to see.

Wow. No clear winner so far. Very split votes. Thought Animal Crossing would be taking the lead by storm. As for me, while I am still thinking about getting ACNH or not, I will be playing a little more KIRBY CLASH for Switch, which I re-downloaded after originally only playing for ten minutes. I rather like it! You can do an awful lot worse for a free game, and you can't complain about that. You don't need the microtranscations to really make progress, just won't be as fast.

I will also play a little more SAM AND MAX: LOST IN TIME AND SPACE, which I also re-downloaded after getting a bit fed up of it and taking off the Switch. Don't like it as much as the first one, which I loved on the Wii, but giving it another little try.

@Dee123 Oh, thanks! I was under the impression you had to do it every single day and the idea stressed me out a bit. Hmm. As I said, I love the idea of the game, but just scared of the OCD 'must log in everyday' aspect. Defeats the point of a de-stress game if I feel that. I did love the GC game, but I think this one might be too much for me at the end of the day. I appreciate the response. 😊

My hesitation to buy this game is I don't want the stress of feeling compelled to play every day. I struggle with OCD as part of being Autistic and a bit sad this game would likely make it worse. Very happy for all the millions and millions who love this game though! 😁

Indeed, most odd this has been absent from NINTENDO platforms for so long. I guess when it came out/was being developed was the WII U era, so maybe not much incentive for them to bother...but that they didn't do it for the Switch is odd.

Mine won't load. I have the e-mail, but it just goes to the screen with the Mario power ups, but nothing happens. I did opt in for the review on my Nintendo account. Hmm. 😗

My expections are that it will mostly be NSO Nintendo consoles in the top 3 spots!

This game was far too long...but I miss it. Lol. It is not perfect, and I still dislike the ugly plug characters designs, but I enjoyed it. Maybe Stockholm Syndrome. I don't think I would want to do a 2nd playthrough, like I have with Paper Mario games, but I do hope they continue on with more Mario + Luigi games.

Meanwhile, CEX, continues to thrive against all odds. Grateful for that.

Oddly, very little to do with actual gaming! A powerhouse on every high street now reduced to little more than a small department in Sport Direct shops.

I kept holding off on this one for some reason. I am pleased I will get to experience it for the first time this way! I will get a used copy for Switch soon and then I presume we can pay for an upgrade?

I will be playing more STARTROPICS for Nes via NSO. On Chapter 7 now. Such a good game! I hope we get the 2nd game on NSO one day.😁

I might also be trying FIRE EMBLEM for GC via NSO. Never played a Fire Emblem game, not sure it will be for me, but least I can give it a go.

I will play a little more of STARTROPICS for Nes via NSO. Started it a few days ago for the first time and I love it! It is one of those that pushes the systems to the max and I find it a lot of fun. I know it got one sequel, but it feel this is a series that deserves a new entry or remake. Mike could have been a character in Smash easily!

@metaphysician Sad, but probably true to a degree. Goemon really was a Japan centric title with, I think, only 4 titles in the West (2 on N64, 1 on GB, 1 on Snes)? For a long time, that didn’t stop them from making games for Japan, though. But maybe that is simply not profitable enough for their liking now.

@Varoennauraa Goemon remains one of the biggest gaming mysteries of this day. Why did Konami all but abandon making new entries, and why do they have no interest in even making collections games or putting some on NSO. I swear, in a era with Bubsy, Croc, Bubble Bobbles, Toejam and Earl, Joe and Mac, and Pocky and Rocky getting remakes or new entries, it makes no sense that Goemon has done neither.

Agreed, I miss it terribly. It is one of the funniest gaming franchises in history and they are just quality games!

The character isn’t technically dead, as Konami still licenses it for Pachinko slot machines games in Japan, but that is seemingly where the interest remains.

Yes, that was a much cheaper game, but even taking into account the price, I don't think it will exactly drop off the charts entirely.
