Re: Hands On: 'Drag x Drive' Is Fantastic, But Is It Destined To Be Switch 2's ARMS?

Mana_Knight

I think it is wonderful that Nintendo are giving attention to wheelchair basketball. Nobody saw that coming. I have seen wheelchair users, who do play basketball, comment on the videos applauding Nintendo for this move. There are people this means something to.

That being said...it really does look/feel like part of the tech demo game. Maybe there is more content than we know, but if it is just these exhibition matches with no real progression, different modes, or extra thrills...not sure they can charge too much for this one!

Re: "Don't Let Nintendo Ruin The Entire Industry" - Is $80 For Mario Kart World A Bridge Too Far?

Mana_Knight

@Broosh Booo.
You are right. That would have softened the blow a bit. You used to get nearly 5 pounds of gold coins if you bought the special Switch voucher! If they are going to be charging that much for one game, it a bit mean not to at least let us have that. It would still be 'money' that we can only spend by using it in their shop. They still get something out of it.

Re: Round Up: The First Impressions Of The Minecraft Movie Are In

Hmm. Never played and have no interest in source material, but did enjoy Jumanji. Not a cinema watch for me, but shall add to my Cinemaparadiso rental list. Yes, I use a dvd postal service. Stupidly more choices than any 1 streaming service and nothing censored. Also stupidly expensive, but I will support till it folds.

Re: Rumour: GameCube Revival Planned For Nintendo Switch Online

Mana_Knight

Wowzer. would be interesting to see what games they would put on it given they chose to remaster/remake and sell some heavy hitters like Sunshine, Pikmin 1+2, Prime and TTYD for Switch. Not that this does not leave scope for a huge amount of other bits! Wind Waker, Double Dash, Various Mario Sport titles, Eternal Darkness, Starfox Adventures, those Pokemon RPGs, Luigi's Mansion....could be possibles.

If Sega do decide to get in on the action, imagine Phantasy Star Online in a form that is actually easy to play...online. Haha. It was very ambitious for the Gamecube in 2003 to get that to work, or expect people to buy a modem and keyboard for pretty much just that game. I am sure it would feel clunky as heck now, but I still have fond memories for it, even if I never beat it or got very far.

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Tomodachi Life

Mana_Knight

NA for me.
Keeping an eye on this new Switch game. I am very ignorant of what this is, but saw people keep begging for a new one and holding it in high esteem. Not sure it will be for me, but I will look for reviews on it when it comes. Do you actually control these characters? Or is it watching only? Like Sims?

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Direct Predictions - What Do You Want To See?

Mana_Knight

I think some heavy hitters that are missing from NSO.
Smash Bros 64? Donkey Kong 64? Diddy Kong Racing?

Unrelated, but maybe with Switch 2 having a microphone, they may give us HEY YOU PIKACHU! one day.

I predict Prime 4 getting the spotlight with maybe a Starfox.

As for re-master wants.........
Wooly World, Either Epic Yarn or Robotron, or Super PAPER Mario.

I would love Visions of Mana, but I don't see that happening now. I would happily take a Children of Mana though!

Re: Reminder: Nintendo Is Removing A Switch Online SNES Game Next Week

Mana_Knight

All things considered, it is the first we have had in the lifespan of the console and we are in the shadow of an upcoming Switch 2 launch. This, and the fact that they are viewing NSO as a carry on to the next console, with the library going over, suggests to me that drops off won't be as bad as some scaremongers always insist on. This all said, I would be interested to know if they (Nintendo) have stats on what games are being played on the service, and whether barely played ones may not get renewed.

Re: Sakurai Says Japanese Developers Should Avoid Trying To Appeal To Western Tastes

Mana_Knight

Agree. Goemon is all the better for being SO Japanese. The few games the west saw were left largely untouched in that respect, save the weird decision to name Goemon and Ebisumaru as Kid Ying and Dr. Yang in the first game (which is barely more Western). Also, changing Old Wise Man's love of Hentai magazines to car magazines, but that one kind of makes sense why they would do that!

Pocky and Rocky was another that just went full Japanese folklore and **** it if you don't get it. Games like these opened me up to the Japanese culture and an appreciation for it. I love that they did games like this with no fear.

Re: Switch 2 Predicted To Cost "$400 Or More"

Mana_Knight

You don't scare me. I have just crossed 300 pounds in Nectar Points. I WILL either buy this outright, or pay very little, courtesy of Sainsbury's shopping! Lol.

Re: Best Cheap Nintendo Switch Games

Mana_Knight

@CJD87 Yes! Good advise. They are another one who it is good to be cautious about! I think I heard that it even harms their initial sales they have been getting such a reputation for it!
