Re: Every Nintendo Switch Online N64 Game Ranked

Mana_Knight

Poor Iggy.
Lol. I don't agree it is the worst! Not as good as it was at the time, but a lot of fond Nostalgia in it for me.

Yoshi's Story was my first N64 game and I chose it over much more popular ones like Mario 64 or Goldeneye. I loved it and still do. It is just a game that makes me happy. Still go back and play a level every now and then on NSO!

Re: Digital Foundry Digs Into Switch 2's 4K Upscaling Potential As Patents Inspire More Speculation

"Sure, it would be fun for a little bit of Wii nostalgia, but who's really going to want to plonk another sensor on top of their TV? Not us."

Got it one for me when I read it could be Wii Like again. I am sure the tech is much better now, but I always found it patchy even up close, plus it was a pain to balance it in a decent spot for reception. Too low on the TV stand, but didn't balance with the top shape of the TV I had then. Still, at least it doesn't sound like this is central to it all, as that would defeat the handheld duality, surely?

Re: US Physical Game Spending Continued To Decline Last Year, Now Sits At Half 2021's Numbers

Mana_Knight

I am mostly digital these days with a few physical. I like digital because I don't like clutter nor the potential impact with the environment. That said, when I buy a duff game or something that I won't play ever again....I do have some I wish I bought physical!

It would be sad to get rid of it entirely, but you can see why some companies would want it! That said, some cherish the store space and being in places is an advertisement in itself.

Re: Nintendo's Share Price Dips Following Its Big Switch 2 Reveal

Mana_Knight

@John_Deacon Well put. Though, I still have no understanding who determines what a share price is and I doubt I ever will! People who own them already? In which case, why say they are less, or people who don't own them and shout stuff on the stock exchange floor? And by what numbers? And why do they get to decide. Lol. It is so confusing to me!

@HexagonSun "I don't understand all the complaints. The Switch has been a fantastic console. Why reinvent the wheel?"

I am reminded of the Simpsons episode where there is a Focus group on Itchy and Scratchy.

========================================================================================

Man: How many of you kids would like Itchy & Scratchy to deal with real-life problems, like the ones you face every day?

Kids: [clamoring] Oh, yeah! I would! Great idea! Yeah, that's it!

Man: And who would like to see them do just the opposite—getting into far-out situations involving robots and magic powers?

Kids: [clamoring] Me! Yeah! Oh, cool! Yeah, that's what I want!

Man: So, you want a realistic, down-to-earth show... that's completely off-the-wall and swarming with magic robots?

Kids: [all agreeing, quieter this time] That's right. Oh yeah, good.

Milhouse: And also, you should win things by watching.

Re: New Mario Kart 9 Teased For Switch 2

Lol. I just clocked that I watched the trailer set to 360p for some reason. I was looking at it thinking 'this is nice, but is it THAT much better looking?'. Just changed settings and better looking now!

@johnedwin Bummer. Now he will be seen as a prophet. Lol.

Are we surprised that they really just went with Switch 2?
In a way, they have never really leant into the numerical upgrade titles, so that is oddly unique for Nintendo.

Honestly, I am happy with this. I LOVE the Switch. I didn't want to replace it. I would have been happy with this as my console for an exceedingly long time, if not my life, given how many games there are.

I am sure they have a lot more tricks up their sleeves, but confirming it as a bigger and better one is pleasing to me.
