@KaiserGX "Idk... I just roll my eyes now when they mention the Mario movie not having anything to it and just being references and easter eggs.. like hard for me to take anyone seriously with that take at this point... like move on from it already."
Lol. I was actually looking forward to it and I am very very shy and introverted. I don't have any friends. A few choice people on here I wouldn't mind playing with and talking too, but seems most people don't want to use this feature I have no interest in getting the camera, but just the VO chat.
Oh, wells.
Viewtiful Joe and Goemon. 2 of the greatest video game mysteries. Rich history and popular, but dormant for so long in an era where collections, remasters, and re-makes never cease. Heck, both were popular enough for animes back in the day!
Happy that Princess Peach and Mario Vs. Donkey Kong have crossed that barrier!
I loved both. I hope we get more 'mid-tier', for want of a better word, games like this. Ones that are not overwhelming adventures and don't require quite as much investment or resources, but still have Nintendo magic.
Still hoping for 'Princess Peach Showtime: Encore!' one day.
I believed them when they said there would be enough Switch 2s for everyone at launch! Possibly selling more/faster than they predicted! No such luck so far!
I mean....yeah.
Amazon and Google probably do this and a whole lot worse.
In this day and age, I don't actually see it is shocking. You can use your phone instead on loud speaker, but you think that isn't also recorded? I would prefer it if they didn't, but it is pretty standard stuff
Well, I only own and play Nintendo systems, so don't need to worry on that part. I am still hoping Nintendo do a new voucher deal scheme for Switch 2 games. It feels like a no-brainer.
I am still unsure if they know the general perception of this character is as a punchline. It feels like they must do, surely?
I honestly think the revival of Bubsy mistakenly happened because of Jontron's video on it all those years ago.
They confused attention with affection.
Ubisoft get a lot of crap thrown at them, but I still respect them for Child of Light & Valiant Hearts. Both wonderful games and not their normal output really. I know they do not really have interest in making more like this, which is a big shame.
The obession with UbiSoft Connect or whatever it is can wither and die though. I don't want games that rely on an internet connection to just play!
So, to answer the question, I have no interest in any Ubisoft franchises coming to Switch 2 that I can think of, less the canned CoL sequel gets a greenlight and they move onto the 2nd World War with a 3rd Valiant Hearts game. Neither seem likely to me.
I was interested in Capcom Collection 2 for Powerstone 1+2, but won't bother now. Learnt it is not the Dreamcast version with the shop and adventure mode
@beltmenot Thank goodness. Neither do I. I know people find that so odd, but I just see people transfixed and it makes me sad. I still use a Nokia phone.
@gaga64 Ah, good. Long as you are aware then. Never beat it because of them! It would probably scare me if I played it now too! I remember the instruction manuel was very creepy too, with super gory pictures of the enemies drawn in detail...like that flying eyeball.
@gaga64 That game scared me so much as a kid on the Nes. I HATED it when day turned to night in a town! Also, it was years later I learnt the village folk told lies! I would do things or go places they said and go mad never understanding it. It is actually fiendishly funny they did it really, but can't think how we were meant to ever figure that out!
Valiant Hearts: Coming Home. Got it in the recent sale. Loved the first one. Very interesting game for anyone into world war history. Will play more of that, but also going to pick up my reserved copy of Anthony Horowitz's new book at the library, so a lot of that too really.
"Worst bit: Watching the little Pikmins' spirits leave their bodies as they drown en masse"
This is why I can't play the games anymore. I had 1 and 2 on Gamecube, and really enjoyed them.....but this part puts me off getting into the series again. You are hardier than I...
Japan. I love Pikmin, but them being eaten puts me off playing the games ever again since 2. They have little Pikmin souls! I feel too sad! So, don't need the trauma! Lol.
@Jiggies "1 hour and a half for a 10 turn game in Jamboree is just insane to me."~~~ I've not played it, but can I ask how this is possible? What makes it so long? You would have played an entire 20 round go by then in the N64 Games!
Won't be for me after all, but very happy that so many people are excited for it. I was hoping for a story mode I guess. I appreciate and respect Mario Kart, and love to see people loving it. I am just not good at racing games and don't do much for me. I am banned on medical grounds to even attempt learning to drive, so maybe I am just not that inclined to anything driving related I guess.
I am happy with the Mario Kart games I have on NSO should I feel the need.
I do feel a bit sad though, as everyone here will all be playing together! Hopefully there will be another game I can play with some people here that takes my fancy. I would really like that. I don't get to play with anyone these days.
"That does this mean specifically? Well, you don't have access to stuff like Power Stone 2's Adventure Mode and Item Shop, which kinda sucks"
Ohh....that kind of puts me off buying. I was only considering for Power Stone 1 and 2...and that part was a big part of my love for the Dreamcast game.
All this effort and they might MIGHT earn 100-200 pounds, for only a very short potential window. I hope people who did it for that and didn't actually want the console are stuck with it.
Gamecube got my vote. SA2B and Luigi's Mansion being my personal favourites and the ones I picked up (SA2B weirdly came out weeks before in the shops! You could buy a copy and do nothing with it!). Great selection for a lot of people. At the time, as there was no Mario game though, a lot of felt it was a let down. Time has obviously been kinder to the younger brother's reception though.
Also, Smash Bros Melee followed just a fews later!
If we move our games from Switch to Switch 2, does the save data go with it? If we upgrade a Switch 1 game to a Switch 2 special version, do we also keep save data?

Well said. I had fun.

Wahooo! Looking forward to it.

Re: Back Page: Mario Kart World's Roster Is Full Of Deep Cuts, So Where Are These Guys?
Wart is so oddly missing from much of Mario History.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Mario Party 3
Japan and then Pal for me.
Re: Here's A Look At The Back Of Mario Kart World's Switch 2 Box Art
Like the wraparound but, goodness, that legal schmegal text is half the box back. Do miss the dense art and actual game info they put on Snes/N64 art.

Re: Another Switch 2 "Code-In-Box" Physical Release Appears Online
@8bit-Man I used to take Snes manuels to school all the time to just read them again and again. They were so dense with info and lovely pictures!
Re: Yuji Horii Acknowledges Chrono Trigger Remake Requests, Says He's Starting To Contemplate It
@DemonKow Right? He make it sounds like this is the first time he has become aware people have been asking for it!

Argos have removed their listings for the console itself
Games and controllers can still be bought, but the pages for the consoles are now gone.

There. That's the thing the kids say, yes?

@DemonKow If that doesn't get me, the tiger sharks or octopus will!
Re: Ecco The Dolphin Is Making A Comeback With Remasters & New Game
This sounds like a threat.
Weren't we traumatised enough as children?
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: 1080° Avalanche
Japan leans a bit too far into the Snow storm concept.
I.e...you won't see much in one!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (3rd May)
Finished Valiant Hearts: Coming Home yesterday. Going to start A SHORT HIKE today. Both picked up in the recent e-shop sale. Hopefully I like it!
Have a good weekend!
And an extended one to us in the UK!

@Kriandis "I have played games since the Odyssey, and I have more than enough physical back catalog games to keep me busy for 2 to 3 lifetimes."
So, since 2017 then?
Re: Talking Point: Will You Be Buying Any Game-Key Card Switch 2 Games?
New? No.
Unboxed 2nd hand dirt cheap on ebay? Might do.

@Pizzashapes Sounds like you are now lost to the cause
Re: Talking Point: Which Nintendo Series Are You Most Excited To See Return On Switch 2?
More Paper Mario please!
More Yoshi please!
More Kirby please!
I am interested to see a new Animal Crossing too as had not played one since the GC version, which I loved very much. So, that too!
Re: Poll: Which Switch 2 Accessories Are You Picking Up At Launch?
I would like to get a Switch 2 first.....
But you know....no pre-orders left at Argos
Re: Random: Missed Out On A Switch 2 Pre-Order? Sakurai Has The Perfect Solution
Lol.
He is working on a big game for them as Director, but forget about letting him actually have one just like that! XD.

I follow their X and Youtube and visit here daily. I feel that does it for me just fine without the need it.
