@Rebusmind I honestly think this is the system seller over Mario Kart too. I get why they did Mario Kart, with it being the number 1 best seller Switch game by a country mile, but this exudes true original Nintendo zany magic and fun.

@OctolingKing13 Agreed. Honestly, the biggest issue with this game that I see people complaining about, and for good reason, is where and how it fits with everything that came before! Haha. It is a minor thing in the grand scheme of 'is this a good game' and no real bearing....but gamers do like our nonsensical video games to follow some history

@mlt That would be a great reason for all that happening! My only confusion is over the lore. I was under the impression The DK who took Pauline was now Cranky Kong? Or was that scrubbed? DK Lore is getting deeper underground now!

@Duncanballs @Ryu_Niiyama - This is very interesting. Do we know if this is just a Hogwarts Legacy thing? Or will it work with Nintendo's own games? I am getting the Kirby Forgotten Land upgrade and also own the cart for the original game. Be great if I could sell that after upgrading.

Awesome! Back in the day, I would often go in to places like Virgin Megastore, EB, GAME etc to play these and see what they had there. Very exciting. Can't imagine the current incarnaton of GAME ever doing that. Far too gaming related.

I never had an Oled and own no devices with that kind of screen. I guess I don't know what I am missing? I am happy with how it looks.

@Varkster Love to see it. Indeed, the continued negative 'boo Nintendo' and 'Switch 2 bad' videos are never ending on my recommendations for YouTube. I keep clicking 'DON'T RECOMMEND THIS CHANNEL' but there are so many like it. Some people have nothing to say if they are not hating!

@JohnnyMind Also, you think that would be a noticeable difference, but I too was upgrading from a very loved first model Switch with hundreds of hours, always played in handheld.

But...my 8 year Switch is about equivilant in battery life to out of the box Switch 2.

I really hope there is some kind of firmware Nintendo can make that helps slightly, but I don't know how that works really or if it even could. That, or we can get a better battery fitted down the line by Nintendo or through places like CeX, who can do battery replacements etc.

Yes, can confirm doing all these will slow down the drainage.
Out of the box settings with a Switch 2 are a killer.You will get about 2 hours at best, from day 1. Check these and you can make a big difference!

@Qwiff The music in Crafted world was such a killer. Don't know why it went so wrong in that department. I keep playing Yoshi's Story to this day, even yesterday on my Switch 2, because I love it so much. Hope for a new Yoshi one day, if not a Wooly World port. Have fun

@croz Ah, that is a shame. Not tried out everything yet. I did find Yoshi's Story (n64) looking BETTER though. Might be just crazy though. Yes, hopefully there will be patches in time for this...

Ah. That explains it. I was trying to figure it out. I was playing TJ and Earl: BITG on it and was sure it somehow seemed ever so slightly worse looking. I was not sure if it was just the bigger screen or something, but that is...really kinda disappointing. I would have expected it look at least the same.

Blimey, so much for some people saying that zero people will buy that!

Battery is sadly terrible and will take me time to adjust to a heavier handheld. I think I prefered the feel of my Switch
One of the reasons I adopted early was my Switch Battery life was not great after 7 years, naturally...but that one is honestly still stronger than the Switch 2 at this point. I am worried about that as this is the strongest it will be. I think you can get 2 hours tops out of it. I am not sure there is a solution to that easily?

The internet on it is really good though. I also found the graphics slightly better playing the N64 classics somehow.

Not yet played a proper Switch 2 game or a Switch 1 game with a big upgrade like Pokemon, so that might be what I need to feel like this is worth it.

I got it!!! Well, bought it rather. I can't believe it. Logged onto Argos this morning and was surprised to see I could buy one and pick up today from my local store (5 mins away). Haha. Also, paid just 68 pounds thanks to Nectar points.

@jfp It was excellent! I really enjoyed it. Think they did everything right with it. I think Cobra Kai and this are some of the best examples of doing legacy sequels. I would also rate Ash Vs. Evil Dead in that picture too, for the TV show at least.

@Summer235 You are in for a treat. One of those games you wish you could experience again for the first time I find. Said it before, but Mario RPGs (Includes Mario + Luigi & Paper Mario) are my favourite kind of Mario game.

Off to see Karate Kid: Legends shortly! Also a library visit, but will also play a little bit more of KIRBY STAR STACKER (NSO). I am in the final stretch having unlocked 'Insane Mode'. About 20 more levels to go! I love it. It fast became one of my favourite puzzle games.

Nobody would be shocked if Game announced they won't stock consoles anymore.

But I want to be a good boy and not cheat! Unpopular opinion, but I liked rewind NOT being an option in the N64 games. I know I do not have to use it, but if it is there...it is hard not to. The option to make save states was enough for me.

That said....maybe I can finally beat Mario 64 now! Some of the platform hopping in the latter part of the game is too finnicky for me! Haha.

NA/EU for this one. Also, do check it out on NSO if you have not. It is excellent. Very fun!
