If a Nintendo game launches at $60, you can be confident that it will remain that price for a considerable length of time — you don't have to worry about seeing it 50% cheaper in a month or two."
Very true. I don't care how much you want that SEGA game on Day 1. Don't. Just don't. It will be on sale in a month. Wait 2-3 and it will even be to an insulting degree. Looking at you Sonic X Shadow for 11.29. I don't think there is a company that is more 'F.U for supporting this on release' than Sega.
Never played it, but want to. Aside from hearing it is very very good, the fact it was shaped from cut content and ideas from Secret of Mana intrigues me. Hope it does indeed involve some sort of re-release or remake, and it is not just a music cd, some stickers, and a premium collector statue etc...
@Haruki_NLI Personally, I would use it should I play with someone. I don't have Discord. I used to, but deleted it for mental health reasons. Ditto to Facebook. I found it bad for it. I know that is just me though.
No, Mana is not for everyone and that is ok! We could be here all day if there was no cut off! What a lot of good games! RPG fans are spoilt for choice with Switch at any rate.
And what do you collect? Are there 150 baseballs...each doing something slightly different? Are they just laying there on the ground and...attack you...but if you defeat them with another baseball you can keep them?
At this point, you are really just asking for a new game. This is not a light re-skin and call it a day kind of thing!
Donkey Kong GB on NSO! World 3 now. I love it. Top tier Gameboy game. Never played it before, but loved Mario Vs. Donkey Kong on Switch, so this is great. I am amazed at how unclunky Mario feels. The animation between worlds showing a new mechanic is good too, very clever. Happy weekend and gaming people.
@MontyCircus Excellent point. If this was calculated by the past decade, or even 5 years, I think that the bigger picture would be very different as to where Nintendo really stand in the industry.
@JohnnyMind Ah, thanks. Probably too much to hope for on NSO? Japan MAYBE, but I doubt they would go to the length or translating! Not really a fan of playing things on the PC. Yes, a proper new one like the GB game would be so good! Some battles were tenser than the mainline ones with every move making a real difference between win or lose.
Europe for me. Wish we could have had a sequel. Though, I think I recall something about there being one in Japan? Doubt it now though as there is the TC app. A proper RPG would be great though. Love this game very much.
How does it work for 3rd partys and payment? Does anyone know? Does Nintendo pay them a repeat yearly fixed fee or something? Or could it get lowered if they know not that many are playing it? Just curious how it might work really. There must be some games getting a lot more play than others on NSO.
Everytime they bring this up I say the same thing. All I want from them is ToeJam and Earl 3 from the OG xbox. It is one of those seen as the weakest, but I still enjoyed playing it a lot. Love to do it again. Though, the rights for that one are with Sega, who normally love re-re-re-releasing games!
One of my favourite Mario games and an excellent sound track indeed. The first EVER video game I played at 4 years old. I replay it often on NSO. Love it. Don't care that it is not conventional Mario. I knew of this before Mario Bros 1! It is still a really really fun game!
Hmm.
I could see them carrying on with the DS Remaster way. It has done gangbusters for them thus far really. Would I like it as NSO though? Yes, otherwise I will probably end up playing about 5-10 percent of said remasters. On NSO, would obviously play far far more things I may never take a chance on.
They will add another console(s) to NSO (2) though, I think that is a given. DS feels more likely than Gamecube to me, but I could see both happening.
This is really not a surprise in the slightest. Did they not have to 'Atari E.T' a bunch of them or something? Probably should have been an indicator that these things are not really the hottest property to hitch a wagon to.Heck, they have no property except for everyone else! The identity is just a mishmash of 'it's pop culture!' and nostalgia.
Well, not really. But I shall be playing more of the excellent WARIO LAND 4. It is so good! Nintendo are just the best at level design, they really are. I adored Wario Land (Mario Land 3?) on the classic GB and never had this one, so it is a real treat.
@N00BiSH Same. So many games that I would never think to buy or try! Much prefer it this way. I pay ten pounds a year as part of a family group. That would get me maybe one and a bit of the Snes games if they were available to buy seperate?
@rvcolem1 Same for me. 1 on 1 2d fighting games are not my thing, so couldn't see myself playing a good 80 percent of this, but I am tempted to get it for Powerstone still. Maybe on a sale.
I can't think what to play! Picked up Becky Lynch's autobiography though, so will read that
I looked at CEX this morning where I live to see if there was anything I wanted but, man, it is always so barren for the Switch there! They had almost no titles on the shelves today. Sales clearly still going very well!
SOM will always be the greatest game of all time for me, and the co-op is a big factor in that <3.
Evermore was such a misfire NOT allowing the dog to be controlled by player 2. I know it was intended to, and a patch exists for people that are ROM players, but it would have been so much better to have had it at the time.

Could have done that image on MS Paint and been done with it.
Lol. No, that is remarkable. How someone can plot that out AND execute is impressive.

Re: Rumour: Xbox Expected To Join Switch 2 With A New Handheld This Year
@Ultimapunch Very much undermined by how much they go on about how they want to share thier games on other platforms!!!

@AG_Awesome That was how I used to do it with my friend too! This would be nice if comes to pass.

Really enjoying it so far! On world 2.
Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's Game Boy Library With Two More Titles
Super! I loved Mario vs. Donkey Kong.
Never quite understood how to play Picross, but will give it another try.
Re: Talking Point: What We Expect From The Switch 2 Direct
Is that a Sheamus reference?

Re: Nintendo Places Outside Top 20 In Metacritic's 15th Annual Game Publisher Rankings
They were Number 1 for me.
Paper Mario TTYD, Princess Peach Showtime, Mario Vs. Donkey Kong.
2024 was a great year for me with Nintendo games.
Re: Pokémon TCG Pocket Surpasses 100 Million Downloads
Card Captors....vating.

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Pokémon Trading Card Game
@Uncle_Franklin Well done for keeping score. What did we deem the ONE time AUS/NZ did it best? Lol!
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Pokémon Trading Card Game
Europe for me.

Re: Japanese Charts: Donkey Kong Can't Keep Up With Like A Dragon's Ship-Shape Debut
Even with Switch 2 on the horizon, plenty people still want a Switch (including all variants on that). Love to see it.

"Simple and Fun to Play. Definitely one of the two"
Lol. What a Catty comment.

Re: Super Mario NES Banger Joins Nintendo's Music App, Here's The Full Tracklist
Although, I am amazed to hear the total sound track is just 8 mins across all songs. Never felt that way!

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - River King: Mystic Valley (DS)
The EU version somehow doesn't seem like the same game, which is weird, given that the same central image is there.
Voted NA for this one.
If I could make a suggestion for a future one?
Maybe one of the Pocky and Rocky games for SNES?
Re: Poll: Which Pokémon Game Really Deserves A Remake Next?
@-wc- Throw in something about '2 Fat Ladies' and I am pretty sure it goes something like that!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (22nd February)
Donkey Kong Land 2 on NSO for me! I also am thinking of buying something in the online sale.
Don't know what to pick!
Have a good weekend everyone. Happy gaming.
Re: Talking Point: The 3DS Library Is Ripe For Switch 2, But Is NSO The Way To Go?

Hmm. Not on UK NSO yet for me?
I know. It is 5.50 am. I can't wait. Lol.

Flipping 'eck.
Re: Round Up: The First Impressions Of Capcom Fighting Collection 2 Are In
@rvcolem1 Same for me. 1 on 1 2d fighting games are not my thing, so couldn't see myself playing a good 80 percent of this, but I am tempted to get it for Powerstone still. Maybe on a sale.

Hmmmm. I still want to get Star Allies! Was on the brink of that, but then would I prefer this? More Kirby is good either way though! Hope so.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Wario World (GameCube)
They are both very very good and the scores being nearly 50-50 shows it.
Do you think that we will ever get this game again for Switch/2? Never played it, but would like to.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (8th February)
I can't think what to play! Picked up Becky Lynch's autobiography though, so will read that

Feb 14th. They love us guys, they really do!
Well, that's Valentines day sorted.

Yes, we do indeed! Agreed.
SOM will always be the greatest game of all time for me, and the co-op is a big factor in that <3.

0_0 Is that Matt Lucas on the Japanese box....?
Re: Kirby: Planet Robobot Figure Returns As A Good Smile Re-Release
AW. Thought this was the news we were waiting on.
Hmm.
This is either made to tie in with the release of a remaster on Switch or, sadly, what those rumours were alluding to all along .
I still think we will though! (>'-')> <('-'<) ^('-')^ v('-')v(>'-')> (^-^)
Re: The Sims 1 & 2 Have Returned, But Not On Consoles

Re: The Sims 1 & 2 Have Returned, But Not On Consoles
Namablah-da-sama-da!
That is what I think a Sim would say to the bad news that it is not coming to Switch.
Re: Poll: With No Switch 2 News Until April, Is A February Nintendo Direct On The Cards?
Oh, and I think we will get a Starfox game. I really do.
