Wow! What a great review. I just checked metacritic and this game currently has a 98 out of 100 with 56 reviews in (all of my favorite sites gave it a perfect score). I don't know of any other game reviewed so well. I am very excited to dig in myself.
30 years ago I got a NES and the original Legend of Zelda for my 6th birthday. All these years later my wife got me the Switch and Breath of the Wild and I feel just as excited as I did back in '87.
I am excited to play 1 2 switch with my wife and daughter. Neither are much for gaming as a whole, but they have been slowly getting into it with he nes classic and a few games on the Xbox and PS4.
I see comments saying no one cares about the VC or aren't we done with those games now? LoL, we will never be done with amazing classic games. That's why the nes classic won't stay on shelves. I've played through the original Legend of Zelda dozens of times because I love it. Same with the first final fantasy and mega man 1 - 3 and super MARIO 1 through world. They remind me of being a kid like I imagine a game of baseball reminds my dad of being a kid in the 50s. I hope they get the VC up and running soon, and not as a drip feed cash grab again but in an iOS App Store style that has some dignity to it. Until then I have my nes classic mini to scratch the retro itch.
I would imagine they will have a problem fitting the game into a switch game card. Rumor has it the capacity of those cards is 32gb and skyrim was around 50 without the dlc.
I agree with Bill Trinen. It's exciting to know you get to play all of the new content in Breath of the wild and after you finish it, more is coming. From what I understand, the standalone game is huge so it doesn't feel like a cash grab.
Wow! The anticipation is getting intense at this point! I did think of the nes classic when I looked at those pictures. That little machine has been keeping me entertained while I wait for the Switch next week!
There is no annual subscription fee for local multiplayer. That is why no one is pushing for it. Having said that, I love that Nintendo is pushing the local co op games. I am more excited for switch than I was for the PS4 or the Xbox one, I love Nintendo's uniqueness and am ready for something different.
SF II was one of my favorite games as a kid. I wouldn't rest until I beat story mode with every fighter then I took to the arcade to duke it out. I'll be grabbing this to play in between Breath of the wild binges.
Sweet! I got my pro controller pre order locked in. Just got my Sandisk 128 GB microSDXC card in the mail yesterday and have a grey switch with Zelda coming on launch day. I am good to go, just waiting for he 3rd. Oh, and I finally found a Nes Classic on Gamestop's website the other day which will arrive tomorrow - super excited for that.
This is very interesting. I didn't think of it before, but if you remove the price of the dock ($90) the switch price would be $209. That would be an excellent value. Considering the rediculous markup on the dock though, I don't see that happening.
I already have a dozen other devices that are better at web browsing than a video game console. I don't see the point. I have a PS4 and a Xbox One, both have browsers I have never used outside of opening them to see how they work (which is poorly compared to my iPad/iPhone/MacBook pro etc.). Considering Nintendo's dedication to keeping children out of negative situations it makes sense not to have a browser.
I wish it were March 3 already! I've been refreshing nintendolife.com every hour or so for the last month reading every morsel of new information. At this point I am going crazy with anticipation.
I will gladly donate $30 a year if it leads to a healthier online system for Nintendo. Hopefully they get their act together and forget the smartphone crap for voice chat.
I got the grey switch with LOZ and the Hori tough case and a pro controller. Looking forward to I am Setsuna and Bomberman. I would like 1-2 switch but feel like that will be $5 at Gamestop in a couple of months.
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: nintendo switch pro controllers are available for pre order in the US at bestbuy and Gamestop on their respective websites.
I was considering the 128 or 200 GB sandisk on Amazon. The 128 because it's only $40 and I could upgrade later or the pricier 200 gb if I plan on trying to keep that for the life of the system.
Outstanding news! I have been wanting to play this, but didn't want it on PC or PS4 and I got rid of my vita a while ago. This will definitely be a great game to play as a portable in my opinion.
I think it's both, and I am excited for that. I am sure Nintendo will create iterative versions like they did with 3ds to improve it over the years. I could definitely see the switch with a long life.
I agree. Repeating many of the same mistakes as they made with the Wii U is certainly not instilling confidence in these third party companies. The fact that Lego City undercover is a launch title when it was a Wii U launch title is amazing to me.
I want the switch to succeed very much. I love portables, and was very sad at the fate of the ps vita. The pricing is bad and the catalog for the first year looks a little slim. Nevertheless, I have mine preordered and have loved the big n for the last 30 years. I am rooting for them.
I already preordered my switch. Having said that, I have 0% confidence that third parties will support the switch or that there will be a huge install base when Nintendo is barely supporting it in the first year. But that's not why I bought it, I bought the switch for first party games.
No way I'm paying $50 for a tech demo. Maybe I'll grab it when it's inevitably in the bargain bin, but not for more than $10. I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in this. The game will probably flop, they should have done it a favor and packed it in. It would have moved more Switch's.

I want a second one, glad to hear it's not $90.
Re: The Launch Line-Up on the European Nintendo Switch eShop
That's cool that it has the neo geo games (and at a decent price to boot). It's odd that they are almost exclusively fighting games though.

$19.99 isn't bad. I watched the trailer for this and the game looks really fun.

That is making 1-2 Switch look a lot more attractive. 20 games is a lot better than 6.

$60 is unreasonable for bomberman. I wouldn't pay $60 for a new Mega Man and that game has a lot more meat to it. $20 - $25 tops.
