My money is on this being accurate. GameStop is already selling the used copy for $10 more than the original msrp. Genius move on Nintendos part, they should see a spike in the digital sales that can't be resold used.

I have no problem with the people selling these rare things for high prices. However, I do not feel bad that everyone gets to enjoy these games and the people who own the property make money instead of eBay or third party sellers.

I wouldn't feel bad for people looking to make $$ off the fact that others can't find a game they want to play available for purchase.

Hats of to you 3ds! I bought an original 3ds (in black) on launch day, and the first year was a bit rough. So glad Nintendo turned it around, a world without Nintendo handhelds would be a sad place.

Im 33 and as that game was very challenging for me when i was 5, I knew this trick well, my older sisters boyfriend showed it to me in the 80's. Still didn't complete Mario until I was a teenager even with this cheat.

Go Big N! Not surprising considering Nintendo's consistent excellence. Its not often a first party game from them gets below an 8 on Metacritic. Still makes me happy to see them recognized for their efforts!

@HappyHappyist I have a few friends who are huge Monster Hunter fans here in the states. I have always wanted to get into it but never got around to it. I think I'll make the leap with the new 3ds considering the second analog nub.

Wow! I wish I had preordered through Best buy so I could get $50 off my next purchase! Seriously though, say what you want about gamestop but you don't see them cancelling pre-orders.

Awesome article! I remember my dad calling for help with the first final fantasy for Gameboy when he got stuck. Also, these guys were in the movie "the wizard" with Fred savage. I work in tech support for a company that consistently wins awards for our customer service and it sounds like Nintendo used a lot of the same customer friendly principles we use today 20+ years ago! Great read!

Good thing I have til June. I just checked the updated catalog and I already have everything in there. I'm excited to see what the new rewards will bring.

I don't understand region locking. It seems counter productive, if people want to buy games from other countries that means more $$ for Nintendo.

Man I love the wii u! I dropped out on the wii early on so I missed all three of these games. I hope they run this for Skyward Sword too later on.

I would be on board if I could trade my 3ds XL in towards the cost of this. Unfortunately I have hundreds of dollars in digital purchases so I'm stuck with the old hardware. I really wish the Nintendo ID worked like an Apple ID or PSN ID where I could sign in and get my stuff back when I upgrade.

Also back in the 80s we played the same level over and over to memorization.

I am actually replaying this right now on 3ds(currently on Dr. Wily stages). I started with Mega Man 2 when I was a kid(although I am old enough to have played Mega Man 1). This video is a little unfair though because Bomb man Stage is not the first stage to play. Every Mega Man game has an unwritten order you play in that provides a learning curve. They should have started on Heatman.

I wish the Christmas themes were available in the states. Very cool.

@Nik-Davies my thoughts exactly. I love my 3ds, however now is not the time to buy.

This was the first gameboy advance game I bought. I was in Singapore with the Marines and walked into a Toys R Us and saw the Gameboy Advance. At the time I was blown away as the gameboy had been out forever and the Advance hadn't even been talked about in the States back in 2001. I loved this, even though half the menus were in Japanese(which I don't speak).

If u combine the GameCube and wii u remake, then windwaker comes in 17% for the win. The first is still my favorite.

@DaemonSword Absolutely! I bought the wii u a few months back, and there are a ton of awesome games I haven't even gotten too yet! Super Mario 3d world is amazing! I hope more people jump on board !!!

I grew up with the big N. I got LOZ along with my first NES for my 6th birthday- and fell in love. Now my 4 year old daughter loves to play Mario Kart 8 with me. It's become a family tradition. Also, that kid with Miyamoto in the pic on the far left looks like a mini-Reggie.

This is ridiculous. Two bit android app makers can make emulators for these games. I don't believe the extremely talented engineers at Nintendo are having trouble with emulation. It's about money, they want to release games slowly to make sure they sell. Oh, and I totally bought Tecmo bowl on 3ds and ice hockey on wii u. I would love to see Nintendo release a deluge of VC games.
