Re: Breaking Down the Nintendo Switch Online Service Details

Luigi_Skywalker

If I wanted to voice chat with friends through my smartphone I would just call them on speakerphone. Why would I pay Nintendo for that. Also, Reggie tried to play this off like it was more convenient while you are mobile than using a gaming headset. That's ludicrous, what are we going to do, sit in public with our smartphones on speakerphone or attach a headset to our phones. Either way, it is less convenient.

Re: Editorial: Nintendo's Release Date Quirks in North America and Europe are Harmful to the Holiday Season

The inconsistency is annoying as a gamer, but it must be really frustrating when you run an internationally viewed gaming website like Nintendolife. Do you cover games at the EU relaese, NA release or whatever comes first? Plus, you kinda feel like your rubbing readers noses in games they dont have yet. I frequent your sister site Pushsquare.com as well(those guys are great also) and they only have to worry about different sales between the EU and NA PlayStation stores. I hope with Nintendo's new approach they update their communication as well.

Re: Feature: Have You Played... ZombiU?

I played it until I died because I tried to open a door and the game took so long to load the door opening that the pursuing zombies ate me. In a game that has permadeath, you shouldn't have to worry about load times killing you.

Re: Retro: Float Back In Time With This Gallery Of Nostalgic NES Packaging

The Legend of Zelda and Adventures of Link boxes were great. Their gold covers looked so swanky. I love the RPG boxes too. Like final fantasy and all the Dragon Warriors that looked like the cover of a Fantasy Novel and the you boot it up and it's chunky pixel art in the game itself. I remember the first Final Fantasy came with a SNES sized instruction manual that I read over and over(the NES books were half its size). Great talking point here. P.s. I love that the pictures are all staged with a power pad as the backdrop.

Re: Splatoon Producer Inks Out Reasons For Lack Of Voice Chat And Staggered Content Roll-Out

At first it seemed short sided that you didn't have voice chat and the matches had random partners. But in the context of letting everyone have fun it makes perfect sense. The voice chat for obvious reasons, but the random match making makes even more sense. It sucks to hear "potty mouths", but it's even worse to get matched up against a group that plays 10 hours today and maps out complicated strategies and just get completely blown out over and over. Trust Nintendo and ye shall be rewarded. LOL!
