I’m also seeing people with lots of switch 2 issues from broken joysticks to dead pixels to powering on or off issues and charging issues with left joy cons

I’m not sure what direction Capcom is going in for the switch but I welcome MHS3.
But will we get a ground up MH or a port of world or wild.
With the talk of disappointing sales for wilds recently I’m unsure of Capcom’s direction. But when monster hunter lands that’s when I join the switch 2 community

It’s odd how it feels like it’s still missing that killer must have the console game!

So bottom line is they are saying the sd card is quicker than the game cartridge.

My rule of thumb when buying games is as follows.
£1 for 1hr of gameplay.
So if the game is 15 hours long or I’m gonna get 15hr gameplay then I pay £15 for it.
If the game is priced at £30 but it’s only got 15hrs of gameplay play I would wait for it to be on sale at £15.
Games that you play for 100s of hours can charge up to the maximum market price point. Eg Monster Hunter when I bought this it was at market value eg £40-£45 I’ve played this for 700hrs but clearly wouldn’t pay £700 for it.
With today’s market value of switch at £40-£45 and switch 2 at £55-70 I’d expect to get 100s of hours from these but not less than their pound equivalent (switch 40-45hrs switch 2 55-70hrs)

No interest in this title.

Day one patch?

Sounds like they rushed to push this out without a care in the world.

With many saying this is struggling to run on switch 2 I imagined the roadmap to be patch after patch to fix it.

As a game bout to show off a new play style this is pale in comparison to Arms which was built to achieve the same.

At this stage this game has cost them so much. They will need to max sales across switch and switch 2 it’s gotta land Xmas to achieve this. The switch has a very strong line up heading into Xmas but the switch 2 needs a boost.

So are we saying 10m by xmas?
Are they actually gonna miss the year end target of 15m by end March or smash it?

@Anachronism I’d love a ground up game but I wouldn’t be surprised if Capcom want to join the franchises back together.
A port of world ultimate inc all dlc and iceboune must be on the cards to plug the gap whilst they develop either a ground up or a dial back wilds port ‘Wilds S’.
I’m happy we’ve got stories 3 coming as this is a great spin off series but my dream would be to get a monster hunter 5 in the old style of gameplay.

Well they need to remind everyone what the Xmas release schedule looks like.

The fans hate that Nintendo don’t give them the titles they want. And rely to heavily on Mario and Zelda

I’d say demon X but some games it’s actually a cross like monster hunter cross with Metroid

If you haven’t already picked these titles up there’s some awesome price promotions on MK world and DK bananza at the game collection. This weekend with 10% when you spend £100.
That makes DK £51 and Mario £57 both full physical new copies.

Monster hunter Stories 2 is an excellent game. You would be a fool to miss a free opportunity to play it!

Looks like switch 2 game pricing is getting more affordable in UK with games like SF6 Key card £38 and DK full hard copy £56, Mario kart full hard copy £62.
Just wish some of the peripherals would come down a bit as £74 for a pro is still ridiculous.

If the bad press continues Nintendo will get involved and help resolve some issues. They want this title to be strong like Witcher was for the switch.
It attracts a new demographic to the switch 2 which is what Nintendo is trying to achieve this generation.
It looks like it’s running ok in docked so handheld shouldn’t be to hard to rectify.
When’s the release date?

Will acclaim not owning any IPs I imagine it’s a new title with a indie style design and development. That screen grab isn’t a hint that is the game.

Can’t imagine Nintendo would drop anything here, but will be interesting to see how many game companies start to add the switch 2 and drop Xbox to their release schedules

Why buy when they can’t even get the buttons in the right configuration

Why can’t these companies use other companies that aren’t limited run it’s so hard to order from them, the shipping costs are a joke along with deciduous lead times.

Quite disappointed in this, real falls short …..not like Nintendo at all.

Why a bloody download code

I’m reading these numbers for wilds as a big issue. 8million on launch and a further 2million since is not great. Especially when it’s on all formats bar Nintendo

I remember when everyone bought second docks for the switch 1 and then had bricking issues with them. And other charging issues.

General consensus is it’s not up to Nintendo standards. And I see it’s priced accordingly. But as the 4th ground up release for the big N this game is a shocking disappointment.

When you buy a game from Nintendo website it’s listed as either a physical release or a digital release but key cards are listed as physical as well but the small print then says 50GB download.
This is quite misleading if you think you’re getting a full physical package which doesn’t require you to download the game. They should change that. So it’s physical, download or key card (requires game to be downloaded).

Probably upset Nintendo. So got pulled.

Still MHS3 was the best announcement for me!

I’m against key cards for many reasons, but mostly as it forces the storage ownership onto you. - you need to buy the storage to download the game which is an extra cost on top of the cost of the game.
If a third a party game can’t master compression like Nintendo then the 50-60Gb game is gonna cost an extra £10 in SD card storage for each game that size.
There will be a day when you can’t re download it and there will be a day when the storage fails or becomes corrupted.

Is there a definite list of updated and compatible switch games for the switch somewhere?

I’m betting the full game will outsell the key card.
But it will be a good way for Square to test the water

I can’t see it hitting 15m my guess is that they are at 7m as we read this, and they do have pokemon which should take them to 12m but post Xmas and zero games between January and March might mean it falls short.
Unless everyone goes crazy for one at Xmas, tho I’m not sure that will be the case thing are getting expensive out there!

Still preferring the switch 1 line up to the switch 2 at the moment!

Best announcement of the direct! And probably a March release so better start saving for a switch 2 as it doesn’t seem to be coming to switch 1 but I’m sure we will find out more in the months to come.
