Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Tetris Forever

LadyCharlie

@AG_Awesome Oh, very differently yes. There's a lot of minutia between Tetris versions that would take a long time to explain, and is better experienced through actual play.
I mean, if one is really curious... these are all very old games that can also be enjoyed via "other methods." But I do think all the documentary material makes this release worth looking into.

Re: The Results Of Our 2024 Switch Summer Survey Are In

LadyCharlie

"A shockingly untrustworthy 71% of respondees said they hadn't ever licked a Switch game cartridge, either."

Whenever I get a new Switch game, I "christen" it by licking the cartridge. Just once. I'm not ashamed.
(I don't do this for used games because I'm silly, not foolish!)

Re: Review: Banjo-Tooie (Nintendo 64) - An Enormous Adventure With Charm Up The Kazoo

"More IS more, but sometimes more is too much"
This con right here exemplifies exactly why this game is undeserving of anything above a 6 (mayyybe a 7).
Tooie is so bloated it buckles under its own weight. Now granted the collecathoning isn't as bad as, say, Donkey Kong 64. But it's definitely worse than Banjo-Kazooie. This game is a rare (no pun intended) example of Rare trying to catch lightning in a bottle twice, and failing.

I got this bag with my points, and I was surprised at how impressive it is!

It's built from a pretty solid canvas, and has done well on a couple grocery trips so far - major step up in quality from the cheap nylon bags they offered a couple years ago. It's a good size too, with a print that doesn't feel like it'll chip off quickly.

Re: Rumour: A Rayman Remake May Be On The Cards At Ubisoft

LadyCharlie

"Ancel found himself at the heart of some controversy in recent years, however, after a report alleged of toxic behavior stemming from his leadership at Ubisoft."

A lot of fans and gaming press either forgot that, swept it under the rug, or both.
I never forgot.
I swore to never buy a Ubisoft game again, and I don't regret it a single bit.
