Re: Ubisoft Closes Two Studios And Will Reportedly Lay Off Hundreds Of Employees

I hate to see working class devs and other boots-on-the-ground workers lose their job for any reason. I hope they find good work at a better company soon...
because holy smokes Ubisoft is less of a sinking ship, and more of a ship that has burst into flames after crashing into an iceberg and is sinking into the Bermuda Triangle. They are reaping what they've sown, and the games business will be better off once Ubisoft is shut down completely.

Re: Rumour: Mortal Kombat 1 Future DLC Supposedly Cancelled

I got an physical of this game (for Xbox) on the cheap, and it's actually pretty fun. Solid mechanics and fast action.
But Warner Bros insistence on nickel-and-dime DLC at every turn, having to pay to unlock all the cool stuff, and a half-baked expansion that costs more than the "it's always on sale" main game - these are all things that sentenced the game to a grim fate.

I don't blame netherealm. I blame the corporate greed at Warner Bros that is rotted down to the core.

Re: Final Fantasy VII Switch Update Removes "Restrictions For Sharing Features"

It's one of the most well known scenes in gaming, so much so that it's become a full blown meme multiple times over, for multiple generations of people. To say nothing of the fact Aerith's death happened 27 years ago.
People shouldn't have to tiptoe around one of gaming's most well known moments.
Are we also to avoid saying that Soylent Green is people, or that Rosebud is a sled? Better use spoiler tags to talk about the end of Romeo & Juliet too!

Re: Review: Rage Of The Dragons NEO (Switch) - A Fabulous Version Of A Fantastic Fighter

My one glaring flaw that keeps me from giving this game a 9, is the lack of crossplay. Which is really inexcusable, considering QuByte added pretty decent crossplay to their re-release of Breaker's Revenge.

But on its own merits, this is a frantically fun fighting game that holds up to the best of NeoGeo's best. The tag mechanics have arguably more intensity than many other entries in the tag fighter sub-genre, and it gets really intense really fast.
