I am very much here for a re-master of Angel of Darkness.
That game is... not great. So at least a remake won't make it worse!

The New 3DS XL was too clunky for me.
But the standard-sized 3DS XL is handheld perfection. You got perfect pocket size, elegant form factor, all the New 3DS bells and whistles, and those cosmetic faceplates are wonderful!

Gameplay wise, going from III to I is pretty jarring.
I get why they went for DQIII first and all, but yeah.

No physical, no purchase.
These Digital Eclipse releases are Museum quality compilations, that are too good to languish in digital format.

I re-upped my subscription recently, but as a standard subscription.
Don't really feel like upgrading just to see if this is worth it or not ...but FOMO is whispering in my ear mighty loud right now.

Long answer: No, Nintendo aren't going to shoot their last push for holiday Switch sales in the foot.

The fact that infinite continues had to be patched in is a little sad, but I'm glad it's there now. Makes the single player arcade mode so much more playable.
Having more time to choose characters is great for multiplayer, too.

I love Limited Run Games. The collector's edition with all the trimmings isn't for me, the standard will do just fine.

But... are we sure this is gonna be the final edition of Shredder's Revenge? Will this actually be a complete version, or is DotEmu gonna come back two months later and be like "we have one last DLC, for realsies this time?"

It's not great!! The absolutely horrible frame rate in the game does take me out of the mood to continue playing quite frequently... but it also doesn't completely ruin the game for me, either.

I would have much preferred if it was capped at 30fps. Hell, I'd be happy with it being capped at 24fps even, as long as it was stable.

I really wish developers of fan projects would keep quiet until the projects are done and released in the wild.

NO.

If the game mechanics work and the gameplay feels like the original game, then it's fine.
It's all pixels and polygons in the end.

Anyway, I'm sure this comment section will be super cool and chill.

I've only had the chance to spend a couple hours with it so far, but in those couple hours, I've had the most feel-good gaming experience I could think of in quite some time.

I'll need to spend more time with it to give a definitive number, but so far it's a high-8, low-9 for me.

I'm still not over the fact that Pro Skater 1 is 25 years old 👵🏽

Yeah, this is exactly what I expected.
I could live with the visuals if the game wasn't so buggy, but sounds like it can't even do that.

I picked up Echoes of Wisdom physically.

But digitally, I got Cash Cow DX and it is so good! A very addictive arcade platformer from the Donut Dodo developer, and dare I say it might even be better than Donut Dodo?

Literally any Zelda game can have Zelda as the lead playable character.
I'm glad she is the lead in this one, I love that actually.
But Aonuma's reasoning behind it is such a cop out.
