see, I really am hard pressed to complain about Limited Run, when Strictly Limited still exists.

But on the other hand, this is a decades old GBA game that can easily be played on older hardware for, uh, a lower price.

Warner Bros Interactive is 100 times worse than EA and Activision combined.

I think a lot of people forget that the point of NSO is to play online.
The emulators aren't the point, they're just a bonus. The base version of NSO is a pretty good deal as far as subscriptions go.

That said, the Expansion Pass is a rip-off.

I love physical preservation, but I dunno. This game goes on digital sale for $2 USD frequently.

I didn't play Celeste for the platforming.
I bought (twice) and played Celeste for the storytelling, and for the representation ❤️🏳️‍⚧️

in the Switch 2 era, I do want to see less reliance on huge IPs.

remember the 3DS/Wii U era, where Nintendo weren't afraid to try new IPs? Splatoon, Pushmo, Box Boy, Dillon's Rolling Western, etc.

everything about it holds up so well to this day. the elegantly simple gameplay, the tight and excellent controls, the blue sky visuals blended with just the right amount of grand prix bombast, the smooth Eurobeat-by-way-of-Japan soundtrack.

I stopped keeping track of this series after it changed name to Story of Seasons.
Have I missed out on a lot of gameplay developments?

It's not a radical change. The difference is negligible.
That said, I think I like the new look a little better? It looks like he's relaxed his brow, which makes a slightly more cartoony and lighthearted appearance. It's ok.

I saw gameplay footage on YouTube and was blown away by how good the port is!!
As an example, it runs circles around the PS4 version for sure.

The lack of crossplay should be listed as a very major con. If someone who hasn't played this fighting game gem has a PS5 or Xbox Series to play this on, that's the better way to play. But for Switch die-hards looking for the next great brawler, this is a must.

the Super NES version of Fatal Fury 2 is very much okay.
but if it gets more people interested in Fatal Fury, I'm okay with it.

Celeste is one of the most influential, affecting, and just plain great games of the Switch generation.

Whatever Maddy, Lena Raine, and the rest of the Extremely OK Games team does next, I'll be there.

Reminder that indie games are not a genre.
They are a publisher status.
Indie games come in a variety of genres (and sub genres), with something for anyone to enjoy.

I'm pretty optimistic that the Switch version will run well, and I hope those that buy it will have a good time.

Me personally, the lack of crossplay means I don't need to buy this game a third time.

Talk is cheap, and Nintendo sure have been doing a lot of talking.

If credits are so important, then patching in the names of the original is the least that can be done. But the names of the original dev team should have been there from the start.

Animal Crossing: At Home

god I hated Hollow Knight.
I generally enjoy Metroidvanias. And the combat in this one is entertaining enough, but the rest of the game feels so empty and unappealing.

@ZZalapski still too much for a game that sold at $20 USD on Wii and 3DS.

not for $60 USD, absolutely not, no.

This makes me more excited for City of Wolves, I'm really looking forward to that one.

Also pleasantly surprised to see MK1 still chugging along.

All these leaks are free publicity and hype that Nintendo doesn't have to pay for.
