Im happy for people who only have Switch to play on, but for someone like me who already plays on PC and just wants to play on Switch for the more casual content, this is a kick in the crotch 😞

@dskatter I had no problems enjoying P5R on Switch. I have a gaming PC, but given the length of the game, I valued the portability over the performance (And Steam Decks are sold out until the RAMpocalypse is over).

@RickStar I just checked the eShop, curious that Sparks of Hope is on sale but Kingdom Battle is not.

As someone who has ONLY played Persona 5, should I pick up P4G or should I wait for the remake? What about P3R?

I'm not opposed to the style of Star Fox Assault with a combination of on foot, flying and tank missions. But you REALLY have to elevate everything. Being on foot needs to feel just as good as flying which needs to feel just as good as being in the tank. Otherwise the complaints will always be "Why aren't we just flying?"

I’m wondering if this ISNT a cameo. Like, if this has just been a little Easter egg in the film, Nintendo probably wouldn’t have said anything. Because it’s here im now wondering what they’re NOT showing us.

@Kiz3000 Maybe I’m wrong on Pokemon but I admit I’m not in the age demographic for that anymore. Metroid could be a system seller. Prime 1 pushed sales on the GameCube because it was marketed well. I just feel like Nintendo waited way too long to announce a release date. The game was admittedly underwhelming, but you could have seen a bigger rush for it with marketing.

@Pillowpants Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was a system seller because it was the culmination of the previous entries developments into one game.

Mario Kart World was much more experimental, and I would argue that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was a superior game (not saying world is bad, but trying something new is gonna be hard to beat refining a 20+ year old formula.) Maybe it’s just my circle of friends but nobody seemed that excited when the Switch 2 dropped for anything they announced, with some of my friends commenting that they were content with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on Switch 1.

Maybe announcing I don’t know, some first party games might build some hype? Like Mario Kart World is fun but not a system seller. Neither is Tomodatchi Life. Pokopia brings in the casual crowd but isn’t necessarily bringing people in who don’t already have a Switch 2, especially when there’s so many other games. Metroid Prime 4 could have pushed sales if they’d really marketed it much earlier. Donkey Kong Bananaza was probably the only game I would say is a system seller but for people who were waiting for Mario, Donkey Kong may not have inspired them to try it. They need their Zelda, their Mario, their Smash Bros. And I don’t mean Switch 2 editions I mean NEW games.

I really miss this gen of Games. I think there was something so perfect about playing SNES level games on the go that felt so...(sorry)...advanced. I know we still have a lot of indies that try to capture that old school feeling but I think it's hard to replicate the style of games on the GBA that felt so retro and so futuristic at the same time.

I'd be okay with a reset a la gen V, but it's also fairly easy to set restrictions upon yourself. I recently re-played Emerald and I made a point to pick up only mons I didn't normal use. So I would just remember that just because they are putting in a lot of fan-servicey pokemon for other players, doesn't mean that you have to use them.

This is either really good or really bad. Either they have nothing to show for this year, hence the Pokemon, indie, and partner directs. Or they have so much to show, they needed to have 3 other showcases because they couldn't find time in their showcase for them.

Not transferring data might be a deal breaker for me. I busted my hump to unlock everything and I really don't want to do it again.

Aside from wanting to charge for these, I think it may also have to do with not wanting to bother with trying to coordinate the trading and battling over NSO. It was easier just to do local play.

I appreciate these for preservation's sake but this is basically two games we already have on NSO for NES. Unless you are REALLY craving some puke green graphics, why not just play the NES versions? It just would have been nice if ONE of the two games was something new or unique.

I feel like Metroid Prime 4 didn't get much marketing, and Age of Imprisonment has a niche market. I love Zelda but I've never really been that impressed with the Hyrule Warriors games and I know a lot of people share my sentiments.

I'm excited to see scenes of Mario stomping...koopas.

@Lizuka I didn't try Bug Fables so I can't say how it compares, but Escape from Ever After still has a demo on Steam so if you have access to that, you can try it, otherwise there might end up being a Switch demo.

People need to not sleep on Escape from Ever After. I played it during the Steam Indie Fest and it feels like the modern Paper Mario we've been asking for. I'm very excited to play the full game.

I don't have plans to buy these particular colors but I'm glad to finally have some variety. I wouldn't mind some where the entire joycon was a different color like the Switch 1.

I have this game and all expansions on PC, while I enjoy the idea of being able to boot it up on my switch when I just need to do a couple daily check ins, the thought of having to buy the base game and expansions AGAIN is what’s got me saying I probably won’t get this. But hey I’m happy for other people to get to try it. It’s a long journey to Endwalker but it’s worth it.

@BongoBongo123 I didn't finish 1/2 Genie Hero. Wasn't bad, but it's much more of a traditional platformer than a Metroidvania (Get to the end of the level, rather than explore and complete objectives). Seven Sirens was much more of a Metroidvania than 1/2 Genie Hero, and I enjoyed finishing that one. Haven't gotten to Risky Revolution yet but it's on my list.

All that said, the best one is Pirate's Curse.

I'm not sure how its difficult to add a video player app to a device. I'm not a developer but I wonder if Nintendo purposely made it harder because of their "We don't want this to just be a streaming device" mentality from Switch 1.

I picked up Catherine: Full Body after just finishing and LOVING Persona 5: Royale, and...boy, is it weird.

I'm happy people are stoked for this, but racing games aren't my thing. I hope it does well.

I just finished P5R (My first exposure to the series) and loved it, so I'll probably pick this up at some point.

I was fully onboard with it being Pikmin until I saw Kit and Krysta's speculation video that this could be tied to the Mario movie. Since NY Comic-Con is later this week, it could be a tease for something related to that. I'm not saying 100% that it isn't Pikmin but I think a teaser to generate hype before NYCC makes a lot of sense.

I don't understand why Square Enix is so afraid of including their added content from their re-releases in the "Definitive" versions. It was the same issue with the Pixel Remasters. My only guess is that they maybe want to hold off to sell the games AGAIN with the content included, but still, it just seems so annoying that they couldn't include it this time.

That's great and all, but I'm not playing Mario games for the graphics. I can hardly justify buying Mario Galaxy again just for that.
