Re: Surprise! The Next Shantae Game Is Now Officially In Development

Kazman2007

@BongoBongo123 I didn't finish 1/2 Genie Hero. Wasn't bad, but it's much more of a traditional platformer than a Metroidvania (Get to the end of the level, rather than explore and complete objectives). Seven Sirens was much more of a Metroidvania than 1/2 Genie Hero, and I enjoyed finishing that one. Haven't gotten to Risky Revolution yet but it's on my list.

All that said, the best one is Pirate's Curse.

I don't understand why Square Enix is so afraid of including their added content from their re-releases in the "Definitive" versions. It was the same issue with the Pixel Remasters. My only guess is that they maybe want to hold off to sell the games AGAIN with the content included, but still, it just seems so annoying that they couldn't include it this time.

Re: Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave Charges Onto Switch 2 In 2026

@Lizuka Mostly Spinoffs, the main series was never that frequent. However, I concede I do have had some bias towards Fire Emblem since I feel that Nintendo leans on it a bit as their Fantasy RPG series, and I am really hoping Golden Sun gets another chance. It's obviously not how it works, but I was young and irrational. In any case, I'm just happy that others are happy.

I accept that it's been a while since we last got a Fire Emblem game but there were so many coming out so rapidly for a few years there that my first reaction was "UGH". I'm happy for the fans of the series but I hope Nintendo doesn't ride the spinoff train into the ground this go around.

Re: Kirby Air Riders Zooms Onto Switch 2 This November

I hope I'm wrong but I'm worried this is coming out too close to Mario Kart World. I know these are very different games based on the direct, but will the average person know that? On top of that, you're gonna cut into Mario Kart's online player base and split the online community. I hope I'm wrong and I wish nothing but success for Sakurai.

I'm wondering if Nintendo DOES know this but doesn't have enough games to release before Christmas and had to put this out to fill the calendar.

Re: Miyamoto Views Games As 'Products', Not 'Works Of Art', Says Ex-Nintendo Dev

Kazman2007

Look, games can be both, but I feel like Miyamoto's viewpoint here is skewed. He always feels the need to innovate on a game's sequel even if it's not necessary. When that happens, you get games like Star Fox Zero. There was nothing wrong with the previous Star Fox games but he refused to work on a new one unless he could do something different.

Art doesn't necessarily have to push the medium forward. Art exists to be enjoyed.

My big 3 outside of new maps and new characters/costumes are:

-More Battle Mode Options - Nintendo seems to try SO HARD to make battle mode not a thing. I don't understand why they keep removing the things that make it fun. Bring back smaller maps, and modes like Renegade Roundup.

-Make free roam more interesting - Typically you drive around, find a challenge, complete it, and never come back again. It'd be cool if there were events that happen across the map that force you to go back to areas you've already completed.

-Map Markers - LET ME MARK THINGS DOWN SO I KNOW TO COME BACK TO THEM

Re: EA Worker Pay Continues To Dwindle As CEO Picks Up $5 Million Bonus, Thus Creating Amusingly Tall Financial Graph

Everyone in this comment section is like "Easy fix, we boycott EA." Problem is, we are not the audience they make their money from. It's the people buying Madden/FIFA every year, the people buying every Sims expansion, and most importantly everyone buying cosmetics in live service games.

If you could get all of them to stop buying into EA, then sure, it could work.
