This seems like a short list. When you consider the Sonic Symphony tour went to a whole lot more, surely Zelda could pull off just as many dates and locations. More to come i suspect.

It's an interesting one because;

It's a remake so should be cheaper but...
It's many people's all time favourite, so could be sold for more.

Difficult to predict where the price will land.

I'm glad they went with single player and co-op. This looks like it could have been another dull live service shooter, but thankfully not. Fingers crossed it's worth the wait and sells.

Looks great. I like that it seems you can customise Megaman more than ever.

And there's so many nods here, as there were in 11, to the fact Megaman has to keep getting these big upgrades in oder to stay competitive as the classic series progresses.

It's unlikely we'll ever see a game that bridges this series to the X series, but some progression is good to see.

@mlt NSO, I assume, is what they consider preservation. If more people contributed to that, and more rights owners were willing to let Nintendo put their old games on the platform, the library would be more complete.

Hate to say it, but literature has a terrible record for preservation. The vast majority of books are out of print and/or lost to time, even stuff that's not that old.

I'm not sure the video game industry needs another expensive console right now. What we NEED is a Switch 2 Lite at a price regular people can afford.

An OLED after that for those who seriously want it is fine but right now, something to recapture the market before it's too late and everyone leaves because the perception will be gaming is only for "the privileged".

And I say this as an owner of the regular S2.

I honestly wonder if Capcom had gone as hard on supporting Megaman over the decades as Nintendo and Sega did with Mario and Sonic, would they have a billion dollar franchise too?

On the point about the dull environments, I almost feel like that was on purpose. They wanted to test the gameplay and mechanics in as basic setting as they could get away with. Surely they learned a lot from Frontiers, and the sequel can really let loose with the interesting and historic environments.

But that's me with my optimistic hat on...

I do agree the price is steep for what you would get though. Not much to this collectable.

People complaining don't remember the bad times, when you could count the number of new releases coming in the next year on TWO HANDS! And no that's not an exaggeration.

We are SPOILT for games coming to S2. Great direct.

Ouch. Bad for gaming, regardless of what hardware you already own. The more people get priced out, the more studios go under. Developers suffer. Players suffer. Anyone in the industry sees their potential audience shrink. No one should be celebrating this. It is not the norm and we should advocate for a solution, not just accept it.

This is cool, but I'm waiting for a proper sequel.

I'm with others saying U is underappreciated and a really good 2D Mario, better than some of the classics.

I hope we get more 2D Mario in any guise soon.

But seriously, I'm glad they went with these over the originals as the extra polish and QOL stuff added at the time make them easier to play in this day and age. I'm sure those who've enjoyed speed-up functions on emulation won't be able to cope though! But I suspect they're less fussed about buying them officially anyway, I assume.

It's interesting how much goes into these machines. It's more than just flippers, bumpers and flashing lights.

I've got some of their posters in the past using points. I can vouch for their quality.

I'll try the cardboard version at some point, out of sheer curiosity.

Very good, for a partner direct. Feels like they were holding back some things for a full direct maybe? This was great though, lots of 3rd party support.

I thought he was fine and the game is great in general. Not a big fan of Sol Valley but didn't ruin the whole experience.

You can really pinpoint those comments from people who didn't play the game and just watched on YouTube... anyone parroting the word "constantly" for example...

@molkom I'm near the end and enjoyed the whole experience. Yes there are some less good bits, but they are minor and not the bulk of the game. The core game, the "stages", are awesome. It feels like a Prime game, so if you loved the other games, you'll like this I think. If you've never played a Prime game, you might be in for a shock. This isn't like an FPS you get anywhere else.

@Moistnado I suppose we could justify this by assuming the Federation didn't know about the additional Metroid's Sylux and the Pirates had taken captive at some point, but it would be nice for some clarification. This "statement" sounds like they've thrown it out there with no real thought. Maybe they just wanted to say something more interesting than "Prime 4 is after Prime 3".

Personally, I don't care much either. Prime 4 is great wherever it sits.

A console with a player base as big as the Switch 1 won't lose support for years yet.
