UNO and Monopoly are incredibly popular and well known games and are sold at a bargain price. Nobody should be that surprised.

@Silly_G Fair point. They were already spending money on some of the things I listed anyway. But they'd still have to research and write a script for the voice actress.

I still think they're looking to save a bit of money by not bringing Palutena's actress back in another 5 times.

@Silly_G and a team to record it. And writer's and researchers for the lines. Extra programming too. It's really not as easy or cheap as you think. And it's such a small thing that the majority of players will miss so it's just not worth it.

Still doesn't look anywhere near as good as either of the All Star Racing games.

Nintendo, or any other publisher, would be mad not to release their digital sales for this combined list. Especially when the UK market is 80% digital. Imagine only 20% of your games being counted while everyone else has 100%. You'd never make the top 10 again.

How about making encouraging developers to make new games? Expensive, inferior ports won't sell systems.

One of my favourite games ever! As much as I'd like a remake, I don't think we can trust Sega not too f it up. Heck, you only have to look at the ports of SA1 over the years. Every single one has been worse than the previous, including DX. If they can't even handle a port, they certainly can't handle a full remake.

The trouble with all GOTY lists is people have short memories and end up voting for whatever big release came out in November/December.

Sega's Christmas present to us all should be a promise to keep embracing this version of the Sonic universe. Make stuff like Sonic Forces and Sonic Boom if they must but don't neglect Classic Sonic!

@RadioHedgeFund Probably not. I seem to recall Magikarp being quite common shortly after the Mew challenge came out so it wasn't so hard to get the candies needed. If you're not near water, I suppose it would be hard at the moment.

I finished Paper Mario Colour Splash last night. It was great. They card battling system is annoying at first but becomes a lot more fun when you have to start using more then just jump and hammer cards.
And it's so witty. It also has a dark undertone.

Hooray! I enjoyed the Mew quest. It had some challenging tasks. And as a collector, it will fill another gap

If there is anything good to say about this, at least it sounds like they are moving in the right direction by reducing the percentage of materials from these slave driving war mongers.

During the boom, people were saying 100 million Switch units would sell. That was always based on it having 5 amazing years like it had in its first year. And 5 boom years in a row was always unlikely.
Switch could still do 50 million and that would be healthy enough.

@Bliquid hmm. Can't actually disagree with you there and shows with layers being better. As a Megaman fan, I want a show like that. But from day 1, I wasn't interested in this particular Megaman show, because it was obvious right away it wasn't for we old fans. Doesn't mean it won't be good for the younglings.
And if it's good, it might encourage them to make another show for us oldiewonks. They'll be less inclined to do that if we call for their offices to be burned down though. That's why it's frustrating to me to see people react badly.

The negativity is unjustified. This looks like it will appeal to its target audience. Aka, not us. Don't be butt hurt because a kids TV show turns out to be made for kids.

Some of these will be caused by carelessness. Some from general wear and tear. You can't expect a portable to stay pristine forever.
