Sorry, but this is a dumb stance. You have to invest in new technology so when it does go mainstream, you're in prime position to take advantage of the demand. Otherwise you'll be playing catch up and miss the boat.

4K and VR could be fads, however, neither are in decline at the moment. Both WILL get better and both WILL become more affordable. God help Nintendo if they become the standard.

Still playing. It's still far from perfect but it's fun enough to keep going.

Personally, I'm ready for gen 3. Hardly ever see anything I need now. Still some gen 1 Pokemon I've never seen, which is irritating.

Or, we could buy a cheaper, better version on another console. We don't have to be sympathetic or make excuses for them. There are plenty of decent Switch games and more to come. Just admit that this isn't one of them.

Bloody hell. Get a grip people. Sonic Mania is fantastic game as good as the classics IMO and you're going to moan about this? It's a lightbulb!

PR disaster. It's even been on the regular news. They should have known better. Maybe this is the kick up the arse they needed though. Network provider problems are one thing, but that could have been mitigated with free WiFi hotspots. And server issues!? Still!? That should have been the first thing they prepared against.
And it's not just about the ticket price. What about travel costs? Some would have paid hundreds in travel to get there before hotel and ticket prices.
People are rightly angry.

Why would you have this? Would you buy a robot to play Breath of the Wild while you're not looking? No.

I doubt any new Metroid game will be called Prime 4. The prime trilogy ended and pretty much put the story to rest.

Call it Metroid Dread and make sure it plays in a similar way to Prime and you'll have a sale from me.

It's a pity there's no new courses. Happy with the Wii U version.

The next six months will tell us more than the first one. On the whole, I'm sensing a more positive vibe and interest in the Switch than the Wii U.

@Biffclaven @beazlen1 But here's the thing guys; I'm not a big digital buyer.

All I had on my 32gb Wii U was about half a dozen digital only indie games and the copy of New Super Mario Bros U, which came for free with the bundle.

Then along came the Xenoblade chronicles x add ons and I DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH ROOM. You're naive if you think 32GB is enough in this day and age even for us who always buy physical when we can.

And it'll be worse this time; you can almost guarantee that xenoblade chronicles 2 is going to have add ons to download with the Switch's small game carts.

We shouldn't have to buy extra storage...

We barely got to see Yoshi using the eggs for example. What happens when they connect with an enemy of item? The person played this like they were doing a speed run. Poor poor poor.

@nayfz I'm admiring the Switch, while worrying deeply about its chances in the competitive world of video game hardware pricing.

It may also be coming from a little jealously at people who don't seem to mind blowing £400-£500 on day one of the Switch launch.

Then again, I probably did similar things when I was young and could afford a hobby.

Or I could buy a more powerful PS4 with a game and extra controller for £200.

Switch sounds like a great piece of kit but I've got bills to pay!
