No key card game deserves to be on par with Cyberpunk on Switch 2.

Love Nintendo Switch 2 Edition games, the saviors of physical media.

They actually have the courage to delay their only chance to release a polished physical NS2 version, glad they're taking it seriously, day one purchase if it's a finished product.

Ocarina of Time on N64 was my introduction to Zelda and it was the most photorealistic game I had ever seen, not even modern Unreal Engine games can replicate it.

I don't touch anything Capcom on Switch 2.

Finally I can play this game again, bought it on Switch but not much changed from the original WiiU version. Now 4K60FPS is what I'm talking about, I'm double dipping with digital upgrade and physical version.

Everytime I see the key card banner at the bottom of any box art it gives me that low value shovelware impression.

The lack of a 120fps mode for this game is disappointing, specially after they used this game to showcase the 120fps capabilities of the system.

So with Switch version you get a physical game for Switch plus the same digital NS2 version you'd get with a key card. No point in getting the key card and I'm glad they offer this path to somewhat relieve the lack of Switch 2 physical.

Considering the PS5 disc contains everything including DLC on the disc, which is rare, makes it one of the best physical releases on the system so nothing to see here.

@Twilite9 completely disagree, and as someone who also loves Metroid I consider Prime 4 to be one of the best in the entire series. Calling the game "insultingly stupid" seems to come from an emotional reaction rather than an objective opinion. At the end, I don't care what others think about the game so I won't bother you anymore.

@Twilite9 "straightforward design", when actually this is as open as Metroid Prime ever got. NPCs and story are not generic, keeping their helmets on all the time was a wise choice given Samus does as well.

I suggest you to go back and play previous Metroid Prime games yourself instead of watching click bait YouTube videos.

Here comes the Key-cards barrage. I'm surprised how they genuinely killed my hype for anything third party on Switch 2.

I sank hundreds of hours in the Switch version, and when it finally came to NS2 I've already grown tired of it. Switch version will never be forgotten.

@Dm9982 get away from all that DRM anti consumer practices and buy physical games.

I'm just glad Miis are still relevant.

They literally do anything but a real physical release. I don't need your overpriced trash capcom, not getting the game on Switch 2 either.

Can't wait to play this one. Already pre-ordered the physical PS5 version.

This game pushed the Wii hardware to it's absolute limits, it blew my mind how it looks like a PS3 game.

@AussieMcBucket most of the updates are for online play which will be inaccessible once the servers shutdown anyway, so the base game is still pretty much content complete from the start.

Delay a game for as many years as necessary, but ship a finished product.

Not much different from the Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury.

Very unfortunate situation, but the fact the studio pushed things again to get the updated game complete on cartridge is commendable, despite the consequences.
Love this game and I'll definitely get it once it releases physical.

@AceTrainerBloke it doesn't matter how you buy it, it's the same for them, you support them either way. Best you can do is to avoid getting the game on NS2.

@Galaxy2IsTheGOAT agree, games used to be like this and I appreciate it. I don't need to be fed with constant DLC or updates to keep myself immersed in the game.

@Metaphor1987 yeah that's exactly why I buy them on PS5. Of course I was talking about switch 2 GKC titles, there are no game cards on PS5.

@Metaphor1987 I've been buying game key card titles on PS5, thank god I don't do all my gaming on one console.

Just like Grid Autosport on Switch, it will always be an eShop-only game unfortunately. Picked up the PS4 version new for like $5, all data on the disc and a free downloadable upgrade to PS5 it I want.

@Pillowpants glad to see someone whose favorite 2025 game is Metroid Prime 4, it's mine as well. It was such a deep and unforgettable experience, it left a void after finishing it.

Although not my GOTY, Mario Kart World is my most played game. It felt magical getting immersed in the open world, the sharp visuals and new mechanics. The best launch title I could ever wished for and truly deserving of the name "World".

I don't expect them to include the paid DLC, but why not include all the free content up to this point? I'm still getting it though despite having already purchased the digital upgrade.

@ozwally MW 2019 is not a remake of the original but a reboot, completely different games.

A physical version that includes all fixes, updates and a stable 60fps? This has to be the definitive edition.

I'd definitely buy a Switch 2 Splatoon 3 release with all the season updates and grand festival content on the cartridge.

The fact that I can still play all game modes in my WiiU CoD games offline says a lot, money well spent. On the other hand, CoD games today require full game download, a continuous internet connection even for campaign, textures are streamed from a server not loaded from memory.
