@Twilite9 "straightforward design", when actually this is as open as Metroid Prime ever got. NPCs and story are not generic, keeping their helmets on all the time was a wise choice given Samus does as well.

I suggest you to go back and play previous Metroid Prime games yourself instead of watching click bait YouTube videos.

I sank hundreds of hours in the Switch version, and when it finally came to NS2 I've already grown tired of it. Switch version will never be forgotten.

This game pushed the Wii hardware to it's absolute limits, it blew my mind how it looks like a PS3 game.

@AussieMcBucket most of the updates are for online play which will be inaccessible once the servers shutdown anyway, so the base game is still pretty much content complete from the start.

Delay a game for as many years as necessary, but ship a finished product.

Very unfortunate situation, but the fact the studio pushed things again to get the updated game complete on cartridge is commendable, despite the consequences.
Love this game and I'll definitely get it once it releases physical.

@AceTrainerBloke it doesn't matter how you buy it, it's the same for them, you support them either way. Best you can do is to avoid getting the game on NS2.

@Galaxy2IsTheGOAT agree, games used to be like this and I appreciate it. I don't need to be fed with constant DLC or updates to keep myself immersed in the game.

@Metaphor1987 yeah that's exactly why I buy them on PS5. Of course I was talking about switch 2 GKC titles, there are no game cards on PS5.

Just like Grid Autosport on Switch, it will always be an eShop-only game unfortunately. Picked up the PS4 version new for like $5, all data on the disc and a free downloadable upgrade to PS5 it I want.

@Pillowpants glad to see someone whose favorite 2025 game is Metroid Prime 4, it's mine as well. It was such a deep and unforgettable experience, it left a void after finishing it.

Although not my GOTY, Mario Kart World is my most played game. It felt magical getting immersed in the open world, the sharp visuals and new mechanics. The best launch title I could ever wished for and truly deserving of the name "World".

I don't expect them to include the paid DLC, but why not include all the free content up to this point? I'm still getting it though despite having already purchased the digital upgrade.

I'd definitely buy a Switch 2 Splatoon 3 release with all the season updates and grand festival content on the cartridge.

The fact that I can still play all game modes in my WiiU CoD games offline says a lot, money well spent. On the other hand, CoD games today require full game download, a continuous internet connection even for campaign, textures are streamed from a server not loaded from memory.

Great news, but greedy publishers like Capcom or Square will keep using the key cards anyway. Street Fighter 6 is 54 Gb and they still chose to pass on the storage cost to the customer.

Metroid Prime 4 blew me away, the series continues to be a technical showcase since it first debuted on GameCube.

Smash Bros. doesn't need Sakurai anymore, not that he wouldn't make an amazing new entry but the foundation for the game is there and someone else can make it. Inatead, Sakurai should be allowed to work his magic on brand new games.

@mereel all Capcom games released so far can fit on a 64Gb cartridge, and developers should aim for that 64Gb limit when porting to Switch 2. However Nintendo should offer a variety of game card sizes from small all the way up to 128Gb if necessary.

@Marioparty this is the most arcadey Sonic Racing game to date, in a good way, if anything it compares to Mario Kart Arcade GP. If you're looking for more refined driving physics, Mario Kart World is the way to go.

Got the $5 upgrade and also getting the physical edition next year, no way I'm missing out on that 64Gb cartridge release.

After playing Prime 4 I'm loving mouse controls on Switch 2.

@RunGMhx it's no one's fault that you forgot about it and it's only been six months since it launched, more content will eventually come.

And I wouldn't call Metroid Prime 4 hub area an "open world", it's small and easy to traverse it doesn't get in the way.

I prefer the original Koopa Beach to DK Spaceport track, it may be a straight line but it required strategy, the center is the fastest path because of the boost pads but is dangerous because of how narrow and crowded it is, if you get a good item you can defend yourself or take a different lane.

I've tried both, HDR and SDR with different settings and HDR still looks the best.

Asuming you have properly calibrated your HDR settings on both your TV and Switch 2, and games like Mario Kart and Cyberpunk look great but Kirby doesn't, I recommended changing the peak luminance and peak black level settings to "High" on your TV for this specific game. Still not as vibrant but it looks pretty good.

This is a case where I'd be happy if they pull a "let's port PS360 titles to Nintendo" instead of getting the new CoD.
