Has there been any information about what specific patents they're infringing on yet, or is that still something that we have to wait for more details about the case to be revealed later for?

While I've heard of the Battletoads game, I'm not really familiar with any of the other titles in the lineup.
I'll probably give that racing one a try tho. I'm pretty fond of that classic style of rally car game.

The dungeons look awesome, and I am glad that Zelda does get an option to fight with a sword just like Link! I can see that making direct combat much easier rather than relying entirely on the Echoes.

I've already watched enough videos about the game to get the full experience, so I'll be passing on picking it up, but it's still great to see the game make its way to Nintendo Switch for a reasonable price. More so impressive that it's actually getting a physical release, even if it's just overseas at the moment.

@Picola-Wicola Yeah, no new Jokers or gameplay changes for this, just some cosmetic swaps for your deck with this update.

The dev has stated there will be a big content update coming in 2025 tho, so look forward to that!

Slapping the designs from other games on the cards is a great and easy way to do crossovers with Balatro.

After trying the update, it looks like there's just one set for each suit that you can toggle on or off, not like, the whole deck and all suits are changed to fit that game's crossover (Witcher for Spades, Among Us for Hearts, Vampire Survivors for Clubs, and Dave the Diver for Diamonds). Still neat, but less exciting. I do hope this means more crossovers or customization options for your deck

I've been using the Pokémon GO Plus+ for my PoGO outings so this thing sounds like a downgrade with how complicated it is and missing features.

I bet you can't use this thing with Pokémon Sleep like you can with the Pokémon GO Plus+ either.

I never understood the appeal of these cutesy designs for microSD cards. You're sticking them in your system and not actually seeing it, so why pay a premium for that?

I've already got both of these amiibo, but the restock timing seems interesting. I haven't heard anything about amiibo being compatible with the game yet, but this might mean there's some compatibility.

I doubt we'll get a brand-new amiibo for this game. They would have shown it off by now.

Bundles with the game + all DLC on the cart should be a regular occurrence and released in all regions. It's bizarre that this is only available in one region and you have to import it

Can someone fill me in briefly on the hate for LRG? I've heard about stuff like long shipping/delivery times, but is that it, or is there more I'm not familiar with? I've only ever bought one thing from them and it seemed like a pretty smooth experience.

I wish pre-order bonuses were more useful rather than display pieces. I recall several DS releases came with special stylus which were handy. Hell, give me a screen cleaning cloth with a design on it and I'll use the hell out of that!

It's incredible that the system has sold so well without any kind of price cut, but I guess having the Switch Lite as a cheaper model helps that.

@sketchturner That's if you're upgrading to a different membership type. If you're renewing your current membership at the same tier, then it's just the base membership cost to add on to your current membership time.

So many AI generative companies being outed for scraping data from parties without permission is making me believe more and more that all generative AI is scummy.

I've always had that belief, but info like this only further solidifies my feelings on the matter.

Let people make the actual content, not robots using stolen works. I look forward to the demise of so many of these Generative AI projects as they receive lawsuit after lawsuit for using content for data training without permission.

I always love the designs of the Splatoon amiibo with the splashes of ink, and with the colors of these sets, I absolutely have to get both.

Looks like NoA recently announced it too. Strange it took Nintendo this long to put out a product like this. I feel like there's already dozens of third-party accessories that already do exactly this, or even charge more than just two Joy-Con.

I mostly use Pro Controllers anyway so I'll likely skip on this product.

The teaser definitely gave me a different impression of what sort of game we would be getting, but I guess considering how short and unclear the teaser was, I can't be entirely disappointed.

I'm happy for the folks who are into this series, but I'm just not really into visual novel games, so this is gonna be a pass from me.

I do love having the minimap right there in the corner of the screen in addition to the radar. I'm sure that will be great help for navigation. It did get tiring in MP1 having to constantly pause to check the map just to see where the nearest exit was.

I hope these can be played well enough without being able to read/understand the text.

If they just slap Mother 3 on NSO without any kind of translation/localization, I will be so pissed.

The Lucky Ranks for bounties keep me playing at least a few matches each day. It was fun to grind out the event rewards too. Eager to see what they add next to the game.

The fact he says that he believes generative AI can be "more creative" is concerning and makes me feel like he doesn't fully understand that generative AI is entirely stealing, so it's impossible for AI to truly be "creative".

I know AI can be used as a helpful tool in some circumstances, but generative AI is generally understood to be the worst in terms of moral usage.

That being said, I sure hope they stick with this comment and never use generative AI in their games.

I'm really enjoying this update and hope they do more events like this in the future!

This still looks like a neat game to learn speedrunning tricks for these specific games and to maybe get into speedrunning other classic games.

However, it's not really for me. I'll play the full titles at my own pace.

@carlos82 I feel like 6 may be a bit harsh, but I am comparing it very heavily to LM1. When a sequel doesn't live up to the expectations of the first one, yeah, I'm gonna be disappointed. I felt the same about the original when it released too. The updated visuals are nice and all, but it's still the same game at its core.

I just can't help but compare this to LM1 and LM3.

While I can appreciate the work put into updating the graphics, it's still at its core the same game as the original, so many of my complaints are still the same.

The mission style interrupts the game flow too often along with E. Gadd always chiming in when I'm trying to play.

I much prefer the ghosts designs from LM1, which also did a much better job at nailing the spooky feeling. LM3 was a better blend of the two and easily the best looking in terms of visuals. LM1 will always be my favorite though.

Overall, I'd say it's about a 6. I'm still only partway through but my experience from the original tells me I'm likely still going to feel the same.

I only just got to Haunted Towers but I'm really remembering how much I despise the mission process in this game. I get why they do it but it just breaks up the game flow.

That being said, I'm sure I'll refer to this guide later for gem collections and whatnot if I can push myself to get through the game.

The box art looks a bit simple, but the art style helps it a long way. I'm very excited for this game.

There's no way I'm buying this at $60. Prime Remastered was perfect at $40, so I really don't get why they're doing so many other HD remakes at $60 (Paper Mario being a total overhaul with some bonuses and same with Super Mario RPG I think are fine tho).

Sounds like a good option for those who didn't get to play the 3DS release, but nothing much for those who already got their fill from the original.

Still would have preferred an HD remake of LM1
