Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time

My original worries of the game from the trailers was that it was just Fantasy Life 3DS but took bits and pieces of ideas from other games, and it'll become a jumbled mess of half-baked mechanics.

I was right, but they took bits and pieces of ideas and elevated them to become better than the original.

A good and rare example of a game that tried to be everything and pretty much succeeding in all aspects.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (17th May)

Watched a youtube analysis video of a visual novel game called Raging Loop. It intrigued me enough to stop watching before it got to the deeper end of the story, then play it for myself.

So far, it is an engrossing story with very realistic characters. Absolutely not deserving the 5/10 that NintendoLife gave.

Plus, it's like 80% off, making it worth it even more.

I get what you guys are saying. I DO prefer Monolithsoft to keep doing their thing, but Gamefreak really has no reason to improve unless someone with actual skill and talent shows them up.

Monolithsoft will surely make a ton of money off it and further enhance their fame and standing, perhaps giving them higher budgets, creative freedom and more opportunities.

Re: With Switch 2 Looming, Nintendo Has Surpassed Another Monster Financial Milestone

Nintendo did alot of things right during the Switch 1 era.

Used old and cheaper tech to power Switch 1.
Made a successful entry into mainstream cinema.
Made friends with many 3rd party and even rival companies, both big and small.
Being more open to mobile and online businesses.
More open to lending their IP's to partner companies.
And ofcourse, the continued hype and excitement with Switch 2.

It's not surprising that investors and partner companies are flocking to get in on the action.

@Summer235
These days, it's more common than you think.

When making major titles, they usually have a small group to write screenplays for a movie or tv series, or sell the movie/tv rights to another company.

Then when the game comes out and fails or is nowhere near the success they were hoping for, they throw everything out.
