ATLUS had to release an apology due to stock shortages in the country. The good reviews and positive word-of-mouth definitely helped boost sales after the release date.
Not the best thing to do right now. Since the start of 2023 esports have greatly declined, not just Smash, but practically everything. With many who previously worked in those events revealing that profits were always small relative to the time and effort to make them.
Events being cancelled, teams disbanding and some players just moving on with other things in their lives, the future of esports right now is too unclear.
And given Nintendo's absolutely horrendous record with professional Smash, many players are still too hurt and weary to work with them.
That's too bad. The injured guests could've been sent to the Nintendo clinic where Dr. Mario, Dr. Luigi and others would treat them all. The life-reducing and long-lasting injuries would've been great souvenirs.
Nintendo's got a winning formula in their hands, a formula that Sony and Microsoft has no interest in following. As long as the Switch 2 takes everything good about the Switch and enhances them greatly, then there's reason why everyone only expects positive growth for the company.
I finally bought it on sale at the last week of 2023, because everyone had only nice things to say about it.
I absolutely adore it and everyone was right with how it has such a good gameplay loop. Congratulations to the team and I'm glad to have contributed to that number. 💙
That's very impressive for Dragon Quest Monsters to take the fifth spot, since it only had one month to do so, compared to the other games on the list.
Explains why Square-Enix had to tell people to buy the game digitally. They probably expected it to sell a more modest amount and produced less physical copies.
Been playing DQ Monsters series since the DS. I love this new game, feels like a proper elevation of the series (despite one DQM game on the 3DS was a Japan exclusive). Though the graphics and performance could be better, I vastly prefer Toriyama's art to be colorful and anime-ish compared to being toned down and more realistic like in DQ XI.
My worst criticism is the Mole Hole DLC. Gathering the same monster again and again can be a hassle and can be overwhelming when your aiming for monsters that you want. The DLC almost acts like a demon compendium from SMT, making gathering the right monsters easier. It does feel like something that was removed from the game and sold as an add-on, despite being so essential in function.
In Mario Kart 9, all characters should be removed and replaced with F-Zero racers. All karts should be replaced with space ships. All the stages should incorporate themes of heavy sci-fi. All music should range from heavy metal to punk rock. All items are to be taken away and replaced with boost pads and energy strips.
This is the ONLY way for the next Mario Kart game to stay relevant. 🤫
@HaileySheridon The same reason Mickey Mouse never appeared in a fighting game. Not only are they unfit to be in one, but their creators/owners would not want these types of characters to be associated with that type of game.
I've read an article about a former Nintendo employee where he was lagging on his work, then Miyamoto came and threw Pikmin plush at him non-stop until he managed to catch up.
Series is so good. I've played the DS games in the past and loved them to bits. With over 500 monsters, I'll be playing this for the whole of December.
They should do what many 70's and 80's fantasy films did that made them horribly lame:
Link is about to defeat Ganon and rescue Zelda, but Ganon opens a portal to the "chaos realm" and Link gets sucked in. Link lands in New York city and gets into many hijinx, until he learns he must find all the seven sages in that world (all of them would be A-list celebrities) in order for him to return to Hyrule.
Not a shocker. Ubisoft has been rumored for years to be in financial uncertainty. Poor leadership with a lack of vision and creativity is to blame. They even cancelled original ideas being developed so they can double-down on more Assassin's Creed games. They need to learn that Assassin's Creed is not as strong of a series as they think it may be.

As long as the sentence "It will star Hollywood's favorite A-list celebrities." isn't said during the entire production, it'll be fine.
And they should do what the Silent Hill film did, where all the music for the film is taken directly from the video games, unaltered.
