Lifeless. No other word for it. Doesn't necessarily require Mii's, but something that can convey human emotion would be far far better than what they ended with.
I've said it before in a previous article; they should've used large outdoor spaces like a beachside court or a park.
Nintendo also reminds us we are but a speck of dust in the vastness of time and universal space, and our thoughts, feelings and bodies are mere chemical reactions that will accumulate to nothing.
Reminds me of an idle animation in DKC Tropical Freeze where DK pulls out a Switch and hands the second joy-con to whoever he's with at the time. Of course, Cranky Kong, ignores the new-fangled thingamajig to read his newspaper.
@Metazoxan No no. THAT part I understand. What surprised me is it's the UK with an American Football game. I was fairly certain American Football had little to no presence in that country.
@fenlix probably cause of heavy discounts. Digitally it's 80% off, and I'm assuming the price of the physical Switch 1 game is greatly discounted to get rid of stock, since the Switch 1 version has no upgrade to get the Switch 2 version.
Never played the game, but I know the people who are into the game are REALLY into the game. So, I'm really happy for them and of course for Sakurai for continuing to do what he loves.
I'm curious how well Monster Hunter Wilds will last in the long run. According to some players and news sites, engagement with the latest game have dropped off significantly due to unresolved problems and lack of new content.
The budget really shows though, it looks unappealing for me. And I'm surprised at the one turtle per level idea, since one of the main themes of the series is about brotherhood and unity.
@PikaPhantom Hence why I said efficiently. Games that use that engine on Switch 1 are either downgraded or are games that are simple enough that they don't use the engine to its fullest.
Now that we know Switch 2 is not as powerful as everyone expected, it may have trouble in performing on certain larger games that were not initially made for it. Tekken 8 with it's high fidelity graphics and other advanced tech, it could be problematic for the system. And being a fighting game, every framerate counts.
Got Fabledom and Beyond Galaxyland while they were on a great sale. Fabledom's been wonderful, but I've yet to touch Beyond Galaxyland, though I'm looking forward to it.
Hell, yeah!. Waited over a month for this. Had to restart my initial save because I encountered a bad bug, only for my second play to avoid that bug and encounter an entirely different game-breaking bug.
Cool, but I prefer more natural sounds. They should've just hid a microphone and tied bananas on an intern's body then toss them to the gorilla pit. Then record the very natural roars and sounds they make as they go ape on them.
@VoidofLight Yeah, I know about the whole Natsume localisation guffaw. Hence why every game after that year was donkey butt.
This collection really shows how lazy they are with pretty much just a port of two of their worst games with little effort and pretty much no new content added.
Yeah, so quickly I clicked on the video thinking it may be something new, but nothing. IX is my 2nd favorite game in the series and has alot of charm that the newer games try to pretend to have, but clearly don't. I can only hope Square-Enix remakes it correctly.

Re: Rumour: Another Claim Points To A Nintendo Direct Later This Month
@daftmagician You fool. That would be the perfect time to announce a Silksong remaster that'll release in 2032.
Re: Rumour: Another Claim Points To A Nintendo Direct Later This Month
Finally, Reggie will come out to announce Mother 3.

Thank you for playing our games.
Re: Random: Donkey Kong Bananza's Idle Animations Are Outrageously Cute
Real sweet.

Re: Pokémon Legends: Z-A Seems To Be Teasing Another New Mega Evolution
There's already a Mega Evolution of Hawlucha. His name is Tizoc from the Fatal Fury fighting game series.
Re: Former PlayStation Head Praises Nintendo For Being "In Touch With Their Fan Base"
StarFox, F-Zero, Golden Sun, Wario Land, Earthbound, Punch-out fans huddled and crying in a corner.
Re: Review: Story Of Seasons: Grand Bazaar - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - The Series' Best Remake Yet
That's all I needed to know. This'll be my first Story of Seasons since Friends of Mineral Town a long time ago.
Also, I always wondered how many people die in this series' world every year from cows that rolled down a hill and didn't stop rolling.
Re: Japanese Charts: Mario Kart World Gets Back To Demolishing The Competition
With still so many Switch 1 games scheduled to be released, Switch 1 still has plenty of life left for this year and the next.
Re: Hollow Knight Has Now Sold Almost 15 Million Copies
Sales that most triple-A or live-service games these days can only dream of reaching. Well-deserved.
Re: Geoff Keighley Either Knows Something About Silksong, Or Is Just Being A Tool
Ain't the sharpest tool in the shed.

Re: Shinobi: Art Of Vengeance To Get Classic SEGA Villains Stage DLC Next Year
The last one will be the most evil Sega villain of all time; Yuji Naka.

Re: UK Charts: And Just Like That, Mario Kart World Is Back In The Lead
Glad Bananza is still high on the chart, and I'm surprised Madden NFL charted at all.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Super Adventure Island (SNES)
Japan with the entire art takes my vote. I always found it hilarious when you purposely let the character trip over a rock
Re: We Might Be Getting An Update About Sakurai's New Kirby Game Soon

Re: Nintendo Updates Its Parental Controls Mobile App For Switch And Switch 2
Give the parents the ability to brick the system. So, they can blame Nintendo and take it away for "repairs", then unbrick it later for them to play.

Re: Tekken 8 On Switch 2 Would Be "A Lot Of Work", But Director Isn't Ruling It Out
Game uses Unreal 5 though. I'm unsure if Switch 2 is able to run it efficiently enough.
Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Drag x Drive
@StewdaMegaManNerd
-100/10 This isn't a Gex game at all. False advertising.
Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting The Switch 2's Next Exclusive 'Drag x Drive'?
Once playing with sticks and rocks become less amusing, I may start to consider making an effort to think about purchasing it.
Re: Nintendo's Share Price Is Now Double The Height Of The Wii Era
Konami and those damn pachinkos.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (9th August)
Got Fabledom and Beyond Galaxyland while they were on a great sale. Fabledom's been wonderful, but I've yet to touch Beyond Galaxyland, though I'm looking forward to it.

@nessisonett
What can kill them makes them stronger! 😤
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Is Laser-Targeting Your Toddlers With This New 'My Mario' Line
If other brands like Sanrio, Bandai, Toho and Takara Tomy are doing it, why not Nintendo dip their toe in that market.
Re: Metroid Prime 4, Elden Ring, Silksong All Playable At Nintendo's Gamescom Booth
Silksong!? Playable!? Oh, lordy.
Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting The Kirby And The Forgotten Land Upgrade For Switch 2?
Kinda played it to 100% completion on Switch 1. Had my fill of the game and the new stuff doesn't feel substantial enough for a second go.
Re: Video: 13 Exciting New Games Coming To Switch 1 & 2 In August 2025
I got my eye on Grand Bazaar, but I want to wait for the overall reviews first. I also cannot wait to not play Drag x Drive.
Re: Japanese Charts: Mario Party Rolls A Fine Switch 2 Debut, But Can't Move To The Top Spot
Still amazing how half of the list is still Switch 1 titles, but that's the great advantage of backwards compatibility.
And, of course one of them is an otome game.
Re: Square Enix Wants Feedback About Its New HD-2D Game Coming To Switch 2
@NintonicGamer
History. Been my pic for many different sites for a long time.
Re: Square Enix Wants Feedback About Its New HD-2D Game Coming To Switch 2
What is up with that title?
Yeah, doesn't reflect the actual game itself, but who gets excited hearing that title.
If you told me it was a story about a runaway boy to go on a search for his lost dog, I would absolutely believe you.
Re: Forget Flowers, Date Everything Devs Have Delivered A "Mega Patch" On Switch
Hell, yeah!. Waited over a month for this. Had to restart my initial save because I encountered a bad bug, only for my second play to avoid that bug and encounter an entirely different game-breaking bug.
Third time's the charm, I guess.
Re: Toby Fox Wants To Celebrate 10 Years Of Undertale With Your Memories
Memory has been extracted from my brain and shipped.
Now, if only I can remember what game this was...
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Donkey Kong Bananza?
10/10 made my bananas very hard.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Weaponlord (SNES)
Cool demon guy on the front will always be an eye catcher.
Re: Level-5 Delays Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road For Switch And Switch 2
Might as well confirm this for a Switch 3 release.
Re: Donkey Kong Bananza Credits Confirm The Voice Actors Behind DK And Pauline
Cool, but I prefer more natural sounds. They should've just hid a microphone and tied bananas on an intern's body then toss them to the gorilla pit. Then record the very natural roars and sounds they make as they go ape on them.
Re: Nintendo Download: 17th July (North America)

Re: The First Review For Donkey Kong Bananza Is In
@Misima
Revised.
0/10 no donkeys anywhere.
Re: The First Review For Donkey Kong Bananza Is In
7/10 too much monkey.
Re: Donkey Kong Bananza's Destruction Idea Came From A Goomba With Hands
Really? I assumed they got the idea from the ending of Mario Odyssey, when Mario captures Bowser and uses him to pummel his way out to freedom.
Re: Japanese Charts: Switch 2 Storms Past 1.5 Million Units Sold
Huge numbers despite the fact pretty much Mario Kart World being the only major title with the rest as Switch 1 games with technical enhancements.
Makes me curious how much better it will do when more and more first party game finally come out.

Re: Random: Yes, Pope Leo Really Did Sign A Popplio Pokémon Card
Lucky guy. Nicki Minaj never returned the many Jinx cards that I sent to her for an autograph. Nor did Vin Diesel with those Diglett cards.
Re: UK Charts: Mario Kart World Returns To Pole Position
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe not only just refusing to die, but still firmly holding it's ground.
Re: Final Fantasy 9's 25th Anniversary Is Here, But There's Nothing On Rumoured Remake
