@johnedwin Could have sworn I still saw original PS5 for £379 about 2 weeks into December. They were down to £349 in November I thought. Although maybe I am getting my wires crossed and thinking of Xbox.

Considering the Switch barely had any discounts over the holidays compared to the PS5 which could be had for a little bit more than an OLED Switch I am surprised the gap isn't bigger. Time for a Switch discount to push sales past the DS and PS2 before the Switch U comes out.

Hopefully the Switch will last longer than the 12/13 years these got. If the Switch successor doesn't have backwards compatibility I fear it will go the same way just lasting a few years longer.

So the 9th and 10th worst games of all year were basically average being pretty much a 5/10.

It will come down to a Mario/Zelda coin toss.

As good as the game was, I don't think this update is reason enough to fire it back up again so soon.

I think a new Timesplitters could have worked well as a live service game.

Started Disco Elysium on the Steamdeck last night and got a game over really quickly. Will stick with it. In my head it reminds me of the old Shadowrun game on the Snes but that could just be because it is isometric with a lot of words. I got about 18 hours into Fata Morgana and need to go back but was still waiting for it to start.

Trying for that last push to get the console to be the best selling ever.

I like F-Zero but I don't really get on with these live service games. There doesn't really seem to be a goal for me to aim for as playing over and over just to get to a level cap doesn't do it for me. It also feels wrong controlling it with the joy con "d-pad".

That's one way to keep the budget down. Showing a Pokemon Red cart is a lot cheaper than having a load of digital beasties running around.

They should go in a completely different direction and get Matt Berry to do the voice.

Depends on how the end of this year goes, if there are any more limited edition consoles and if they go in with a deep discount before they officially announce a successor to lure the last of the fence sitters. I would say it is going to be very close by the time the successor is out but it will overtake before they cease production.

I have a lot of still sealed games, or a lot of still sealed empty boxes. The article makes it sound like it is only non-Nintendo sealed games though?

Based on the price I can see this selling well to unsuspecting relatives providing it is given enough of a marketing push and is a physical release. Can't see it selling more than the original though.

I got a notification it shipped with my CE but it was not in the box with it. There is no option above for "hopefully get it if UK Nintendo Store can fix their mistake" which I grant sounds fairly specific but the Store doesn't seem too popular due to these sorts of mistakes.

Still need to finish BOTW and will then crack open the CE of TOTK and maybe by that point the UK Nintendo Store will find out where the Amiibo they posted me is as it wasn't in the oversized box with the ropey coin and luggage tag.

Trying to get through BOTW before Friday. After a 6 year hiatus I picked it up the other week with 4 Divine beasts done. Took a while to get back into it and I forgot just how great it is.

You spend far too long faffing around selecting weapons in BOTW compared to any other Zelda. A lack of heart quarters to collect as well means this game breaks the mould for me.

7 hours? Sounds like there will be a lot of padding to fill that out. The latest John Wick was a bit long at almost 3 and this won't even have any headsets.

Looking forward to playing Angry Hedgehogs next year.
